Cannot wait to become a repeat customer!! As a wine club member to a few wineries in Fredericksburg, the question of "where do we stay" has been a constant over the years. We decided to stay here this last trip and boy am I grateful that we did! On site restaurants made it so easy!! The pool was perfect as was our room. Genuinely the perfect space for friends or romantic partners! Cannot wait to come back. Thank you Albert Hotel for a wonderful stay! Edited to add: I also want to shout out Laura, Laila and Procoro for making this stay so memorable!!

I'm so glad to give this hotel five stars! I was flabbergasted to learn that they were only rated at three stars prior to this review. The outside is very cute with a modern design and beautiful earth tone colors. I love that at check-in, we were greeted with sparkling wine. The interior is beautiful as well, we really love our sage green painted panel room. Also love the aesthetic of the bar area and that one of the interior walls near the elevators was made up of glass bricks so you could see the outside light coming in. In our room, we also love that there was a nook with a padded window seat. Our room was very spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The room comes with the fridge tucked away in the closet area and comfy robes. The bathroom is very spacious. My only complaint with the bathroom is that there was no trashcan and the vent comes on every time you turn the light on. I love that the hotel is walkable to the main attractions of the city. I highly recommend!

This review is for the spa area of the hotel. The main entrance is off Austin, but I prefer the back entrance that is on Main. This will lead you down a beautiful path shaded by tall buildings and vines wrapping around the edges with some nice outside seating for pretty days. It's like walking into a dream you never want to awaken from. On entry, I was greeted by a welcoming lady named Jamie who showed me some service options and explained their process. I noticed they use Babor products and this is one of my favorite luxury skin care lines for results that won't cause irritation with my sensitive skin. I also picked up some water infusion drops that help you sleep and relax. I will return soon for their magnesium melt and a collagen facial. If only every day could be a pamper day in this lovely get-away from it all haven.

In was our return to Fredericksburg TX in a few years and it was our special wedding anniversary trip from Austin. I had read about a new luxury hotel built on Main Street and made a reservation at the Albert Hotel. The entrance was on East Austin Street and best if to valet your vehicle. It was parked at a secured parking lot. The staff were very nice and friendly and welcomed us. The check-in process was quick and was giving a room upgrade. That was very nice and special. The lobby was very modern and beautifully decorated for the holidays. They had a very nice pool outside with lots of chairs and built in cabanas but was a bit cold outside and the pool was not heated. They also had a workout room but for me got my exercise walking up and down Main Street. This hotel was set behind the old buildings along Main Street to hide it from sight to maintain the city's historic character. Like I said the whole staff made feel very welcomed and they are dog friendly. Our room was modern chic with lots of floor space where there was one room for watching TV from a very huge L-shaped couch, roomy bedroom with comfortable bed with touch-switch lighting (took me a while to figure out) and no TV, and a massive bathroom with a standalone tub, separate toilet and walk-in shower. The window coverings were controlled with a touch panel (another thing had to figure out) and a separate one for climate control. The room had no personal refrigerator but had a minbar refrigerator. There was some small windows but could see the whole town since it was a corner room including town square with the holiday lights. It was extremely quiet at night and the hotel provided daily turn-down service where we got some tasty decorative chocolates and light touchups. You can scan QR code to thank housekeeping. The hotel grounds are gorgeous and had s'mores at night, but there was a sophisticated restaurant/bar inside, BBQ restaurant out in front, and a western saloon and hipster coffee shop along Main Street. We were surprised to see the 'Big Wonderful Thing: A History of Texas' book by our family author everywhere in the hotel including our room. The book is over 900 pages so if planning to read it plan to stay a bit long. The overall best reason to stay here is location where you can spend some time on Main Street and return for a break and then venture back out and adding a bit of luxury in our stay makes it even better.

My husband and I have stayed at the Albert hotel several times in 2025 and it has always exceeded our expectations. The only thing we ever had a negative experience with was the noise levels on the basement floors, but besides that we loved staying here and saw it as an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. I wish we could have said the same thing about our most recent stay. I normally do not complain or make a stink about things because I know we all have our bad days, but I feel like the ball was really dropped this time. First thing, our room 005 looks like it was rushed to get ready. There were no robes, the mini fridge looked like it had been rummaged through and not re stocked, no waters, no menu, no trash can in our bathroom, and the TV cast setting was not working to stream and required a special code. Secondly, around 8 pm I decided to go to the bar to grab a quick drink and dessert to go. It took about 10 minutes to be acknowledged at the bar and another 5 minutes to put in an order. Lastly, during check in, I requested a large carafe of coffee to be delivered at 9 am and explained we planned to be checked out and leave the hotel by 9:30. 9:10 am rolled around and I called the front desk to see if the coffee was on its way and it did not seem like my request from the day prior had been put in even though I had been told they added it. Based on my previous experience at the Albert, this visit was very sup par and very disappointing. I always enjoyed coming to this hotel because of the service and most importantly how consistent it is. I spoke with the general manager about my concerns who said he would reach out to me but never did. Hopefully other guests will have experiences like my first several visits and not my last.

Paying for the location not for luxury. Thin walls, mediocre service, restaurants are sub. Definitely a skip

We went in…read moreto this knowing it was on a busy road, but that was one of the bonuses, because we were in walking distance of everything. We really only heard traffic during the day, it was pretty quiet at night, and day traffic didn't bother us. We stayed in Winterberry, and we sat on the cute porch in the evening with citronella (my boyfriend is a mosquito magnet, lol) and lightning bugs. The bed was a little more firm than we were expecting, but we still slept fine. I should also preface that we sleep with a box fan on low for white noise. We were there during the week so there wasn't really any noise from other guests, only a few people were there. I will make note that you can see straight down into Winterberry from the door of the second floor cabin next door. We forgot to tell Debbie, the manager, about that, but it can easily be fixed with a simple window covering. There was no one in that room while we were there so it wasn't a big deal. Debbie was truly delightful, very sweet. She brought the biscuit basket we ordered for our final morning. The biscuits were really very good, they come in the cutest setup, with the biscuits sitting on a bread warmer. Great experience overall. If we vacation in Fredericksburg again, we will definitely stay here.

The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. The only downside is it is located on a slightly busy road with bright lights that make it hard to darken the interior. My wife expects 5 star resorts and she said this place exceeded the typical 5 star experience. The bedding, linens, amenities were awesome. They had live music and great food and drink options at the head cabin. Every cabin felt private and unique and the babbling creek and ponds along the Creekside were so relaxing to sit by with lots of Adirondack chairs overlooking the creek and rocking chairs on the cabin porches. We also chose this place because they allowed my Australian Shepard to come (only some cabins). The whole experience was amazing and only a 5 minute drive to the main strip. Don't miss a tour of Signor Vineyards, a 10 minute drive West. The most beautiful vineyard and cool experience!

After finding a couple of places closed, we called Barons Creekside. Best thing we ever did! We spoke to Lasca, who was actually out with her family for dinner Despite this, she got us set up in the cutest farmhouse, gave us directions and instructions to get in, and after her dinner was over, she stopped by to check if we needed anything. The excellent service did did not stop there. We were treated like family, and we really enjoyed walking the beautiful, scenic grounds and hanging out at "The Club" on property! Next time we go to Fredericksburg, we know where we will stay - at Barons Creekside!

Some of our highlights: - complimentary breakfast until 10 am - 24 hour coffee - 1 block from Main Street (near Velvet Lounge) - complimentary water bottles - heated pool to 85 degrees with a slide - hot tub - 3rd pool not heated - tons of outdoor space to play cards and enjoy - fire pits - toiletry amenities in hotel had nail files (great idea) - the body wash smell was a rosemary that was phenomenal! The only 2 things we had to note were that the shower head only had one setting and it was hard and blasted aggressively. It wasn't comfortable to shower and made a lot of noise. I'd recommend lowering the water pressure or changing the shower head. Additionally, the sink didn't have a drain cover so we were scared we'd drop something All in all, we will be back!

It's been three years since the last review so we ventured back and I'm pleased to say that many of…read morethe upgrades have been made to our room and others. The shower has a higher head and we liked the new laminate floors. We liked the two lounge chairs, chair and desk along with the microwave and mini fridge. Pretty much the previous review still stands, but I added a few more recent photos and comments So why still the 3 stars? The walls and ceilings are quite thin where you can hear someone tromping around upstairs and snoring in the room next to you as well as upstairs. People are allowed to bring their pets to the rooms which means you can listen to them bark in the room next to you. My morning shower was set to hot, but it was barely warm. We pulled back the sheets and the mattress pad where there was a small blood stain, hairs, and an oily stain near the center of the mattress. No room safe. Breakfast here is pretty much on par with the average Best Western except that the buffet room is very cramped and indoor dining is tight. The outdoor dining area is actually quite nice weather permitting. I personally would like to see either the breakfast eliminated and we pay less for the room or for it to be an exceptional breakfast and charge a little more. By being at the level of mediocrity it just inspires you to go somewhere else. Even the coffee was weak and watery. With all of that said, our 2 day stay was less than $480. For a comfortable relatively clean room with no musty smell, it seems worth it. If you want to enjoy your time here, stay on the second floor and have breakfast at one of the nearby restaurants. 31/2* for the money for an acceptable visit.

This was our first time visiting Fredericksburg and, while the location of this place was ideal,…read morethe lodging itself was unusual. The bed was very comfortable, room was small but fine since we were just sleeping there. Breakfast is delivered every morning outside the door in a basket. It's a cute concept but the food itself wasn't appetizing. Taking off the most stars because of the shower set up. The shower is inside the massive tub that you have to step into. It's very uncomfortable to get in and out of, especially if you're short like I am. Including a pic so that you have fair warning. Will not be staying here next time we visit.

The lady at the checkin building was wonderful! She was very accommodating and put us on the first floor so I didn't have to climb stairs (back surgery in Dec). We stayed in room 4. Upon opening the door, I fell in love! This beautiful room was decorated with antique furniture and just felt cozy! The bed was so comfortable that I got the best nights sleep I've had in over 10 days! The shower was huge and the best water pressure! There is body soap, shampoo and conditioner provided that is made locally at their herb farm. I wanted to purchase from the office, but we were running short of time, so I'll be ordering online! There are robes for your use, that were soft and comfortable! I want one of those too! There is a keurig, microwave and a small refrigerator with a freezer. There is also 4 bottles of local wine on the counter, champagne and beer in the fridge and chips for purchase (mini bar). The room was quiet all night. This place isn't huge, so I felt like we were lucky to get a room here. We will be back in the spring so we can enjoy the beautiful porch area. This morning, we had a wonderful breakfast delivered in a basket! It was delicious! My only suggestion would be to add a boiled egg or sausage patty to have a little more protein with breakfast. Overall, I know the Winchester Lodge will definitely not disappoint!! Highly recommend!
