Decided to give the new owners a shot and ordered a cheese calzone (ricotta and parm) when I left work. The estimated time was 15-30 minutes, it was done in 23. When I parked for pick-up, I called and asked if they wouldn't mind bringing my calzone out to me since I am handicap and Abby said it wasn't a problem and came right out! The box was still pretty hot. After a little chat with Abby, I headed home with my calzone, I ordered a "small" and this thing was pretty large, I can only eat half. Not over oily, the perfect amount of cheese, cooked perfectly. I am definitely going back for a pizza next time! Good work, new owners! read more

Worst pizza I ever had in my life. The crust and dough were bubbly and think, all cheese light on toppings couldn't see or taste the sauce. Order was place for pick up was told 20 minuted gave them 30 waited there for 15 more minututes and they didn't even look busy. read more

Super surprised by this place. First time there. Me my wife and daughter were in the area and late for dinner so we stopped in on a whim. I was expecting a regular pizza joint. I ordered two dinners and knots. It was all phenomenal! Seriously, it was restaurant quality. We eat out a lot and at expensive places too, and - i know this sounds crazy - but this place really does have exceptionally good dinners. Look at the photos, you can see the quality. Noodles were cooked perfect, the sauces were seasoned perfect, and the cajun chicken might honestly be the best i've had. It was like REAL cajun chicken, not some grocery store cajun spice shaker. We even got awesome table service. The portions were huge. The salads were fresh and crisp. The large fountain drinks we got were like 32oz. And we got a basket if warm fresh bread. It was like $37. Are you kidding me? Please support a local business and go here. Don't let the store front fool you. It is probably the most surprised I have been at any eatery. I love their food! Tasty and delicious! My favorite dishes are Cajun chicken with pasta, and pasta with meat sauce. Today was the first day I tried the pasta with meatballs, and also the pasta with sausage and peppers. Although I was hesitant at first thinking it was going to possibly be somewhat bland, but was so happy to find there was just so much flavor! I highly recommend trying some of the other dishes they offer besides their yummy pizza, you may be pleasantly surprised by how delicious it is. I know I was. :) read more

The new owner should just quit while he's ahead because the way he makes dishes is just horrible and not right for any Italian restaurant. But the real problem is there was no cheese (I ordered provolone), only a little turkey, and I added pepperoni...there were 3 tiny pieces. After visiting Navy Federal Credit Union I faced a decision between Alba Pizza and Best Buffet for lunch. The reviews for the buffet were horrendous so choosing Alba was a very easy decision. The restaurant has less than a dozen tables with none seating more than 4, but you can combine tables if you have a large group. There is also counter seating for those dining alone. This is a Pepsi restaurant so I elected not to order a fountain soda, but prices are pretty fair if you're so inclined. They also have a refrigerated case with non-alcoholic bottled selections as well. I ordered a regular cheese slice and a sicilian cheese slice. Both were delivered to me at the preferred temp (lava hot). Yup, burned the roof of my mouth immediately. The flavor of the sicilian was excellent and the crunch was spot on. The plain slice wasn't as good however. There was no crunch on the first bite and when I folded the pizza it went limp. And that's a little strange since it was a reheat and lava hot to boot. If you're from the area, you've got a winner. You have a solid base for what you should expect in authentic NJ/NY-style pizza. If you ever make your way up north, please try any of the pizzerias I have mentioned on my pizza list for Bergen County. You'll be happy. Happier than I was to pick Alba Pizza over Best Buffet. I've been in here a few times to order a slice and eat in, and it's always been decent. We recently phoned in an order for pickup, though, and I'll probably never bother coming back. Service was pretty lousy when I arrived to pickup my order. Girl at the counter and some guy sitting along the wall (delivery driver?) acted like customers were a total inconvenience, and made no attempt to hide their opinion. Ok, cool. I'm an inconvenience? I'll stay away from your place from now on. There are better pizza joints in Browns Mills. Food is average at best. Pizza dough was more like bread, and the hot wings weren't even close to hot. read more

This pizza place used to be a family favorite, however since changing ownership the place has greatly gone down hill. I have visited the establishment on at least 4 separate occasions and each and every time something has gone wrong. Two separate instances involve me placing an order for pick up and them not only forgetting to make the order but forgetting I place the order at all. One I placed an order for delivery and not even a minute later called back and said I'd pick it up because I didn't want to wait an hour for delivery. I showed up to pick up the order 20 minutes later and was told the delivery guy must have taken it. There was no one at my house to receive the order so I had to race home and try to beat the delivery guy. Fortunately I did. On a separate occasion I ordered cheese fries and a pizza and come home and had regular fries, which were cold and tasteless. The new owner seems friendly enough and the food remains decent enough that I continue to eat there but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Even in person, staff seem irritated by customers and inconvenienced. When I do have problems, staff argue and blame one another rather than resolve the issue at hand. read more

By the looks of it, it's a typical NJ pizzeria. The food though is very good - had the white broccoli pizza, which was excellent. The chicken parm sandwich is better than the meatball part, which was alright but not fantastic. The service here is great and exceptionally warm and welcoming. I had been at nearby Deborah hospital with a family member in the ICU. Since food options are scarce in the immediate area, I came here with others numerous times over the course of a few days. Its' family owned and the people still remember me even though I haven't been in years. Lots of booths to sit in and eat at or carry out and take it home. Drove an hour and a half to visit a few friends at this restaurant and eat. We had the bbq chicken wings, calamari, and calzone (with garlic, spinach, ricotta, and mozzarella) as our appetizers. All were very good but I would especially like to recommend the fresh fried calamari with marinara sauce (that we got) and the calzone! It was my first time trying a calzone in the U.S. and it was very delicious! I took one home as well. As for our entrees, we got the baked ravioli (with mozzarella cheese on top), chicken francaise with linguini, salmon with white sauce, and a seafood platter (with muscles, shrimp, and I forgot what else...). All were very good, especially the sauces that came with each. Prices were very reasonable for great quality food. The waiters are friendly and quick in regards to delivering the food as well as checking on customers. Also, the place is under new ownership and the owner also works as a chef! I know him personally, as he used to work at a 5 star restaurant up in northern NJ. This food from ALBA's is still good after all these years. Being in the area on official business cooking was not an option, so I went to ALBA's because I wanted spaghetti for dinner and I knew from living in the area many years ago that ALBA's food has always been good. Thinking I knew where they were located, I went to Browns Mills and found that they had moved - oh I was so hurt thinking they had closed. Then I remembered they moved, I headed to the new location (which is not new anymore) and I was so very happy. I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and an order of chicken wings. The spaghetti was a very large portion that feed me for dinner and lunch the next day. It was so good and I was so happy. But what made me happier was the chicken wings - I am a chicken eater and these wings were so good - I did not even need the ranch dressing!! So if you are in the Browns Mills NJ area and need some good Italian cuisine - give ALBA's a try - you will not be disappointed!! read more

Just ordered a pizza. Ordered extra sauce on pizza and half the pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni on it. Pizza had almost no sauce on it and pepperoni on one half mushrooms on the other half. When I called them to let them know the guy on phone knew it was made wrong. He said I can drive back and they would give me 3 plain slices. So the pizza was totally wrong and I can drive back for 3 plain slices no thank you. Oh and 15 dollars for a 6 slice pizza not made how I ordered it. This place has been spot on each time I have visited. Stopped in yesterday and grabbed some tuna subs which were excellent! The staff, especially the young man who is always at the register when I stop in is always kind and engaging which is a plus for me. 26 May 17....What happen to this place, (I know it changed ownership/hands)...but holy cow, the pizza (the Works) is nothing like it used to be...this was very sad! The Works pizza was poorly cooked, diced raw green/red bell peppers, and half cooked onions, I found a lone slice of mushroom on my slice, and they are not using the same quality of Italian sausage (this had no taste). It's as if they didn't even sprinkled a little oregano after the pizza was removed from the oven...very bland. The Pizza was doughy on the bottom in the middle (not fully cooked). The only thing cooked properly was the large order of fires...the fries were cooked properly. I use to go here weekly when it was under the old management...don't know if I would try again. (Diced raw green/red bell peppers...PLEASE)! read more
