The airline lost our luggage so we got on the cruise literally with what we had on our backs. We had 45 minutes in Juneau to shop between the gangway dropping and our first excursion. As we got closer, I called the store and asked if they could please pull a few things in our sizes so we could just quickly try on and run out. We ran to the store from the ship and the ladies handed my husband and I stacks to take straight to the fitting rooms. They took excellent care of us and we were in and out in 15 minutes with enough to get us through the rest of our trip. We got pants, socks, hiking shoes, shirts, undergarments, and belts. We're so thankful for the staff of Foggy Mountain going out of their way to help us in a pinch.

Service is decent but for as much hockey stuff as they sell, they aren't always willing to help you. The staff is always courteous and greets you and says buy when you are leaving. If you want to sell them something, it's often best to get the owner, the younger guy will nit pick and beat you down to nothing. I realize that they need to get stuff for a low price so that they can resell it as used but his prices are often so low-ball that it's not even funny. I've found that for my time and money I'm better off using the consignment shop or Craigslist to sell my stuff.

Issue: i understand the weight balance but my four year old was placed on the outside and it made for a nerve racking trip for me holding on to him for dear life! My issue- our tour guide. Nice and strong but I couldn't understand anything he was telling us because I was in the front and he has a very very thick accent. The apparent positive side is that there is no state tax and residents get an annual state refund. A small bottle of tide liquid detergent was $10.59 and it's $5.69 at home. My deodorant which is $3.29 at home is $7.19 here in Juneau. A Harley Davidson T-shirt which is $29-$36 at home at the Harley Store is $53-$55 here in Juneau. What a beautiful place to visit. Highly recommended.
