He walked around but clearly didn't care about a small job, and promised to send a quote via email. Never did. Thanks. Update: after thinking about it, I wasn't that easy to get ahold of either, and I think he was on other jobs when he first contacted me. The guy does good work from what I heard, it just didn't work with me. No hard feelings.

I would end up getting the wrong one and have to return it, or get the right one and end up blowing a gasket trying to install it! So, keeping my sanity in mind, I called Rocket. Rocky showed up to give me an estimate, and a few days later, returned for the install. Within a few hours, I had two well-done mounts, and I still had my sanity intact. He did a great job, had all the parts and wires that were required, and kept a clean work site. I'll be getting a 70" screen for my living room in the future, and I'll be calling Rocket again!

Contracted with ICD for a functional router. We paid:…read moreRouter: $248 Labor: $ 95 TOTAL: $343 What did we get? A router that provided partial internet for 10 days. Contacted ICD, they sent a team to troubleshoot, which I appreciated, but they also didn't complete the fix. The next day we lost all internet and TV. But ICD sent us a bill for $213.75 for the "troubleshooting" that didn't work: We went and bought a new router (same model) and found another installer who replaced it for us over the weekend. At this point *we are out $817.99 for a functional router.* We returned the $248 router to ICD, but they never refunded us. It's unthinkable ICD is making us pay for their labor to fix a defective router ICD sold us that we had to replace and install at our own cost.

As we all know, "we don't know what we got til it's gone" and I couldn't live without bath, kitchen and living room lights for 3 more days! I called on Monday and they were here on Tuesday morning...and an hour early! I felt bad as I was in the shower and missed the knocking on the door, but the electrician waited and didn't give up. That was the first thing that impressed me about this company. They could have easily gave up on me and moved on to the next job. I felt like an important customer right from the start. I AM AN IDIOT! Link to 1.5 million judgement against…read moreAlder.... https://www.sdmmag.com/articles/93734-safe-security-wins-lawsuit-against-alderalarm-protection-technology $5,496 for 5 yrs. 2 day response! One maintenance tech in 663,300 square miles ( the state) $2,197 upfront cost. 54.99 month, 60 month contract! continued ACH billing from my account after I've cancelled with a return receipt letter. BULLSHIT! well...I was an idiot: 5 years ago. what I got: 1.Problem with sensors, result...fixed, but the only tech in alaska, was in Kenai....the only one! It was a pain scheduling our busy schedules with the one and only tech that alder has within 663,300 square miles. 2. Sensors reporting low batteries....when new. no other real problems...but my confidence was low based on the sensors . I've researched. There are new, better, less costly, monthly, no contract alarm companies, and installations you can do yourself, that work EXACTLY THE SAME! I sent, as per the contract, not one, but TWO, certified return receipt requested letters to announce my cessation of requested service to Alders business addresses. One was returned as " un-deliverable" to the business address listed in the contract I signed...wtf. I disconnected the alarm. TWO, yes TWO days later, I was contacted via email that they had detected a problem with the system. Would YOU subject your family to a two day response alarm company? They act on the phone as if they didn't get my notice requesting cessation of services. They send letters warning that I wouldn't want to do anything that would subject me to" double billing" ie, Alder and my new company... suggesting they will continue to try to debit my bank account. ( already contacted alaska usa...not going to happen) Unethical to suggest they are going to bill me on top of my new company. Unethical to contact me over and over and over, trying to get me to keep paying twice what other families pay in the area. Stupid to think they can compete with more reputable places, like...say....ADT or Vivinit, or Simplisafe, that allow you to control your monthly costs by either purchasing the equipment upfront, or offering 1/2 the obligation, for 1/2 the time. I went with a monthly, no contract company. 24.99 mo for cadillac service. Alder goes by: Alder Holdings LLC, Alarm Protection Technology LLC, Alarm Protection Technology Alaska LLC, and Alarm Protection Alaska LLC. do some research, go to the bbb in alaska and utah. surf. don't be an ignorant like I was:

I have a very long time line of my dealings with Alder and the promises made and not kept. If phones calls are made, the number is not identified or a message is not left, no email contact at all. There are to many systems out there now that you can be set up by yourself with little to no help so I would suggest to anyone to go that route if you can afford it and stay away from Alder or any of its affiliates.
