My husband and I live on a busy corner and decided we needed a security system. After doing lots of…read moreresearch my husband and I decided to go with 1st Alarm. I'm SO GLAD we did! We called to set up an appointment and were offered a slot the following morning. We were kindly greeted by Justin, the installation technician. Justin and his partner conducted a complete walk through of our 1200 sqft home and offered suggestions on where to put motion sensors, door and window monitors, and signs/stickers. I'm not sure what you're used to but I was very impressed with the door sensors. Justin and his partner drilled a hole about the size of a nickle into the inside frame of our front and back door and inserted a sensor. His partner came through with a vacuum to clean up the wood shavings from the door. There are no wires or cords to fuss with or visible sensors on top of the door, but a small sensor on the inside of the door that you can only see, if you're really looking for it. Justin also told us where the best place to put our motion sensor and window monitors as well. One of the coolest things is the pad to control everything. It literally looks like an iPad. It is very user friendly and looks awesome! We also received two key fobs to secure our home while we are away and enter when we return without setting the alarm off. Moving on to the prices. The website has different packages you can choose to fit your needs. Our entire package was $45.00/ month for three years and there was a $69.00 installation fee. This included door sensors, window sensors, motion detector, 2 key fobs, 2 signs, a sheet of window stickers, and installation. I think this is a very reasonable deal for our piece of mind and sense of safety. I loved the customer service offered, and how well everything works. It is fast, efficient, and effective.

I called back. The man said he'd call the next day. Nothing. I waited 2 more weeks, called back and again he said he'd call Monday....still nothing. I've wasted over a month. With this kind of service, I'm surprised they have customers!

Disappointed with Misleading Sales Tactics and Poor Installation…read more We had high hopes when a representative from Vivint, named Boston, visited us in the Amarillo area. We were in the market for a new security system as we didn't like the idea that our current one ran on WIFI and was a bit outdated. He assured us that Vivint was a superior product and that it did not require WIFI. In addition, he guaranteed a seamless professional installation and promised to pay off our existing security contract. Installation Experience: The installation process was far from seamless. The technicians left the old security cameras in place and installed the new ones right next to them, resulting in two cameras in most locations. This not only looks unsightly but also means I have to remove the old cameras and patch the hole / paint the entire area to restore it to its previous condition. The garage camera installation was particularly disappointing. The old camera had no exposed wires, but the new one was installed with two feet of exposed wire. When I requested it be fixed, the technician came back, installed it correctly, but left a plate over the hole he had created, so now I have a plate and two cameras in the same spot. To make matters worse, after he left, none of the cameras were working, and he blamed it on our WIFI, despite Boston's claim that the cameras did not require WIFI. We later found out that each camera required, at a minimum, 2 GB of WIFI. Lastly, although not a big deal, the installation tech left a box, wrappers, and trash at every location in our house (attic, garage, patio, etc...). He did not clean up after himself and left everything throughout the house for us to clean up. Service Calls: Service Call #1: The system wasn't working, and the technician blamed our internet (shocking as Boston said it didn't require WIFI). Service Call #2: The technician managed to fix the major issues; however, the garage motor/motion sensors still didn't work. We managed to connect them. Old Contract Buyout: Boston assured us that Vivint would buy out our old contract when we switched. However, after we canceled our old contract and sent the invoice, he stated that Vivint would only pay $1000, which contradicts his initial promise. In order to buyout our current contract, it is $1600. If that was the case, I would have waited. Boston mentioned he was trying to win a competition based on the number of units sold, which made us decide to proceed that day as we were already considering a new system and he seemed like a nice guy. Unfortunately, the reality has been very different. He promised to buy out our old contract, but that didn't happen. He said the system wouldn't require WIFI, which was also untrue. He claimed we would have a professional installation, which was far from our experience. Now, Boston will not return my texts or calls, and simply replies with "who is this" when I try to reach out. In conclusion, we feel misled and extremely disappointed with our experience. We had such high expectations based on Boston's promises and feel let down by the reality. I hope Vivint will address these issues.

I have a business that requires security for special events. When I ask for assistance they are quick to contact me and fill my requests. They hire reliable people who know what customer service is all about! Allstate security company is one of the best around! I gave Allstate Security Services a call when I needed my construction site secured. I found their customer service remarkable as they were extremely helpful and professional when I first spoke to them. Best of all, their security services arrived on-time and truly did a great job securing my site, all for prices that I could afford. Now, I sleep better at night knowing that this security company will protect my assets. I highly suggest them if you want security services you can rely on. Nothing can describe the gratitude I feel towards Allstate Security Services. I had to look for a security firm that would be reliable and dedicated to securing our construction site here in San Diego. Thanks to Allstate, I gained peace of mind, seeing how professional and courteous the security team was as well as how thorough they were in terms of addressing our concerns. Definitely recommend if you want top-quality security.

There have been several car break-ins and home robberies at my complex, and my neighbors (including myself) have been towed in violation of the 72-hour parking rule. When I did call them to report a house alarm was going off at my neighbor's house (and after being on hold for an unusually long time), I was told that they didn't handle home alarms. They couldn't even check it? They couldn't even respond that they'd follow up with the property management company? They simply said it wasn't their job. You'd think that they would at least have some protocol for such things (e.g., a list of phone numbers to call in this case)? No, "It's not our job," is their answer. Hmmmm.... Please, call a spade a spade: All State Parking Enforcement and "sitting in a car texting and talking to my friends while on duty" Service should be the name of this company.
