Don't trust this company. The owner, Glen, smoothtalked me into a sale without mentioning that they would do a credit check. He used the info I gave him - ostensibly to install the system - to run this "hard check" without my consent. The day the installer arrived I noticed numerous parts of the contract they wanted me to sign referenced a credit check. I refused. I called Glen back and he suggested I just cross these sections out. They did the credit check anyway. I was in the process of buying a house and my score dropped from 750 to 685 because of this one check. It cost me the house I was trying to buy. That's exactly why I would *never* have consented to a check in the first place. The system is outdated and clunky. And, trust me, if you ever need to get in touch with them for any reason be prepared to sacrifice hours of your time talking to robots, automated systems, being interrogated for your into and then being transferred over and over and over and over again because whatever you want "thats a different department." Alarm Guard is a waste of time and puts fear into our home on a regular basis. We get "notices" and "emergency calls" on a regular basis and have requested they send someone to our area to help troubleshoot for over 6 months. There is always an excuse, they defer outside their company, and it's been incredible stress on our family. The waste of money is not even half the problem. The routine 'notices' make it so that if there ever was a problem, there would be no way to discern the difference between the bothersome calls and a real security breach. I would NEVER use them in the future but am locked into a contract. read more

When your in a dire financial The representative said yes after understanding the situation, was told to send everything back in good condition and it would be cancelled she didn't say that I would have to pay . Emailed them to tell them the tracking # after I had to borrow 25.00 to return it and no response, the day the received it called and stated they wanted 2000.00 to cancel the contract. Told her I don't think so as on 684.00 a month to live would not be happening, If the first agent had said that it would be 2000.00 to cancel it I would be going through major anxiety because someone doesn't know their job read more
