Shane and his team came and installed pot lights in one room and a ceiling light in the other bed room that they sourced and brought over. The whole process was relaxed and enjoyable, we were given options on the items we wanted installed. There was no clean up for my family at the end of the renovations. And we can't tell that anything was done Becuase the walls where they cut the holes for installation is clean sealed and painted for us. We also had our washroom fan installed, from the old noisy one, to this new quiet and high quality fan that makes little to no noise, and really takes out the smells. They fixed our kitchen sink when we asked, I didn't know this service was available! They installed dinner switches all over our apartment, and installed the lights in our kitchen and family room. I can't thank my friend enough for the referral to Shane and his team. The prices are more than fair! I would highly recommend this company for any of your home and office renovations!!

Since I wasn't familiar with the technical details of the contract, I trusted that it reflected what we had discussed. When the technician arrived, I was told that the contract only covered one window. If I wanted the remaining five windows included, I would need to pay nearly $500 more. I feel the sales process was not transparent. The quote I received did not accurately reflect what I had requested, and after I signed, I was told it was my responsibility for not catching the discrepancy in the contract. While I understand the importance of reading a contract carefully, I also believe customers should be able to rely on the salesperson's explanation matching what is actually being sold. Overall, I was very disappointed with the lack of transparency and the way this situation was handled.

I had been a customer of Blaze Alarms for approximately 10 years, initially hiring Ilan for…read moremonitoring the alarm system that had came with my home, as he was quite affordable at the time. Ilan later suggested that he install a camera system to enhance security. During the installation Ilan appeared inexperienced in camera systems, both in installation and operation, as the cameras were not compatible with the paired DVR, resulting in blurry images. The manufacturer eventually came out with a new system, which rectified the issue. Rather than offering to replace the old poorly working one, he charged me for a whole new system. Later, after requiring a replacement battery for the alarm, Blaze Alarms quoted me $82.00, however, I was able to purchase the exact same battery for $12.00. Blaze Alarms soon started raising my alarm monitoring rates to the point that they were no longer affordable and I was forced to cancel our monitoring service. This past month Bell transitioned my internet from wired to fibre optics, causing the camera system to become inoperative. The Bell tech advised that the original installer, with his knowledge of the system, could easily rectify the programming. I reached out to Ilan and requested a service call. He responded, "I don't have time to do service, too busy with work. You can try to find someone else to help you." I gave Blaze Alarm 2 stars because it accurately reflects the quality of work, lack of professionalism and respect for a long term customer, who always paid his bills on time.

I found him on Craiglist on Sunday, and he was over at my apartment Monday at 1pm. He just left and it looks absolutely amazing! No visible cables, just my 32" Sony Bravia all by its lonesome about 4' up the wall! He finished in under 2 hours and the entire thing cost me less than $250 including the mounting hardware. I was so happy that I referred him to a random neighbor in the elevator and then tipped him $50. If I'd used one of the big box companies I'd have waited at least a week and paid a heck of a lot more.
