Both my husband and my mother have been under her care, and Dr. Chen made the entire process smooth and worry-free for our family. For my husband's root canal, everything went seamlessly, and we were especially impressed by her financial integrity. We received itemized receipts, and as soon as Dr. Chen received the insurance payment, she promptly issued us a full refund for the overage. When it came to my mom, Dr. Chen went above and beyond. She was incredibly patient and, to our wonderful surprise, spoke fluent Mandarin with my mom! Dr. Chen conducted a thorough, comprehensive exam and took the time to clearly explain which teeth could be saved through endodontic care and which ones would need an oral surgeon. She created a detailed treatment plan so my mom fully understood every option. After hours of consultation, my mom ultimately decided not to proceed with the root canal right away. Dr. Chen totally respected her decision without any pressure and even kindly waived our consultation fee. On top of that, her front desk ladies are super friendly and welcoming! If you or your family members need a compassionate, skilled, and honest specialist, Dr. Chen is the absolute best. Highly recommended!

Hygiene and cleaning issues…read more I can't speak on the dentists abilities or his quality of work I am waiting in the chair ready to get my root canal when I notice a blood stain (red / brown) in the chair so I ask the assistant Raquel ? To clean it and she told me about the previous lady saying: "I shouldn't be sharing patient confidentiality information but the lady before you was heavy set and she kept scratching her sores on her legs and her legs were purple and blue so maybe she had make up" I'm horrified and then she cleans it with a wet gauze. But doesn't change her gloves and I am trying to figure out how to tell / ask her to change her gloves because I think it's reasonable to not want a blood transmitted infection. She doesn't change her gloves and continues to set up the station. At this point I'm nervous because I don't want to get something from a previous patient if that was blood and so I tell dr Oller about the situation thinking he would be horrified too and make sure to set up again to prevent any risk of sterilization. Dr Oller completely dismissed my concerns and his assistant tried saying that it wasn't true that it wasn't blood and so it shouldn't matter. Either way it was a stain and she cleaned it without changing her gloves. Then proceeds to mention that I'm just "anxious" and that "something is wrong because you also refused the mask they gave you up front." I told her that I took the mask, she's like "well I was told it was an issue for you to take it" (for context a mask was given to me with white side down placed on their reception counter so I kindly asked for a new one.) At this point Dr Oller disappears and comes the receptionist with a void receipt saying that "this isn't the clinic for you" and pretty much told me to leave. I never once asked to leave and honestly would have continued if they had apologized and redid the set up. At this point I'm just confused and upset that this is how they reacted to hygiene concerns. I guess they'd rather kick the patient out for calling out concerns than rectifying them.

I called Dr. Sharma's office and they made room for me, in their schedule, for the very next day. As soon as I arrived to Dr. Sharma's office, her kind front office receptionists greeted me with their warm and welcoming smiles. Trying a new office did make me nervous at first but this office has such a professional yet comforting feel, made me excited for my appointment! Dr. Sharma's amazing assistant Najia took me to the x-ray room to evaluate the aching tooth. While taking the x-rays, she was very bubbly and made me comfortable. Both her and Dr. Sharma talked me through what they see through the x-rays. Turned out I needed root canal =/ Instead of doing a temporary fix, Dr. Sharma made sure to put my pain at ease. She went out of her way to make room, in her already busy Saturday schedule, to be able to perform the root canal procedure. Dr. Sharma and her assistant were gentle, thorough, and very honest. You can tell she definitely knows her stuff!!!! She even made sure I understood what was taking place. Dr. Sharma noted areas where I may need future work, but no one tried to push anything on me. This office is not like some other offices, where they try and to push you to get more work done so they can make money off of you. It was very clear to me that Dr. Sharma genuinely cares for her patients and wants to ensure they receive the best care while in his hands. Her entire staff truly makes for a great team and is all very easy to talk too. They make it so much fun, that before you realize it you are done with your appointment. Another big plus is that this office is beyond accommodating. Most offices are not flexible with someone like me, who has such a busy work and school schedule. At any other office, making my next appointment would have been quite challenging; however, at California Happy Teeth Family, the receptionists were willing to work with me to ensure that they have a time that works for the both of us. How generous!! You are already looking for a new Dental Office, why not try someone who is a true expert in their field and will not take advantage of your pockets? I promise you will not be disappointed!!! I have been back countless times, for cleanings, checkups, etc. and would definitely recommend California Happy Teeth Family to anyone! I even have countless family members and friends who are switching to this office now. I am more than satisfied and am even looking forward to my next appointment.
