Dr. Ramamurthy's bedside manner is what makes this place 5-star, in my opinion. She's comforting, knowledgeable and experienced. They have two locations (Fremont & San Jose) and I've been to both. She did teeth testing in addition to looking at the xrays to know which teeth needed care, not just doing work unnecessarily. I'm writing this review for my dad, who insisted me to help him write a review for Dr. Ramamurthy since he felt he was under great care. He had a great experience here! It's never fun to go through root canals or anything seriously dental related... so my dad was, of course, hesitant and worrisome. Dr ramamurthy put his concerns to rest and made him feel more relaxed and understanding of the situation. My dad says his procedures took multiple visits since it was somewhat complicated, but Dr ramamurthy was determined to fix my dads issue. In the end, it took a few tries but ended up with great results. He was also happy to know that she didn't try upcharging him for multiple visits, just a charge for that procedure to be done and completed. Overall he felt she was very professional and knowledgeable, and would def recommend and come back here again if he needed to! read more

Nobody wants a root canal! Nobody. But unfortunately, reality sets in and that time comes. I had an infection in one of my molars and was referred to GreenRoot by my dentist. Front end staff were friendly and professional. The assistants were very efficient and gentle. Dr. Ramamurthy was exceptional. She told me step by step what she was doing which takes the tension away. I felt very relaxed during the procedure and once the Novocain wore off I was back to normal. I was extremely surprised by the gentle care with which Dr. Ramaurthy administered the necessary injections to minimize my discomfort. To add challenge to the procedure, my Parkinson's Disease made my head sway and jerk back and forth making it difficult for her to use her tools to inject the needed medication. The x ray showed my #2 previously root canal had infections all around the root.sad! Doctors in Green Root explained well to me and gave the options of treatment. Dr. Ramya did a very good job using microscope and Lazer etc new technology to see whether the root was fractured or just infected. The whole time of procedure was very pleasant and not hurt at all . I would rate this office a zero if I can. Really the worst dental office I've ever visited. They are all about money and don't care about the patient at all. Additionally, the office staff are rude and don't do their job at all. We came in for a consultation. We had 2 insurance at the time but the office staff was so lazy they only billed one insurance plan. 1 year later they send us a bill for the service and said we never gave them our insurance. Then when I verified insurance myself I did have eligibility on the service dates and kindly asked the office to bill. They would not bill the claim to insurance even after I did my due diligence and confirmed with insurance multiple times. They kept going in circle with us saying we are not eligible and not bill insurance and instead billed us to pay. Each time when we called they were rude, unwilling to help, and we ended up having a nightmare with them: calling insurance and the dental office multiple rounds, getting multiple bills from them, etc. do yourself a favor--don't come there or you will end up with nightmares like us!!! read more

I had a root canal that I needed done. This was my first major surgery (if I can call it that) of any kind. Was a little concerned about how it would go and whether there works be any post treatment issues. Dr Ramamurthy did a splendid job of explaining what would be done. The actual operation itself was very smooth and I was never in any pain. Post operation as well, I didn't need to consume any pain killers and could eat on that side of the mouth within a week. The reason I'm posting this review of because it's difficult to find people who really know their job and do it with surgical precision. Unless you want to give your first born, do not go here. I only had one consultation, and paid hundreds for it and I have great insurance. This place is a rip off. If you are out of network, this place is not for you. DO NOT go here. I've paid 5x my deductible and I got a bill for more money just for a consultation. Wow. Over the weekend while camping in Tahoe, I started feeling excruciating pain in my lower right tooth. I knew the pain came from the tooth with the crown. I was having so much pain at 11pm I had to check myself into the OR for pain meds. Drove back to San Jose on Sunday and waited until Monday to see my GD. Thankful they were able to see my same day since it was an emergency. Unfortunately they had to refer me out to a specialist. At first they referred me to someone from the same building. However, that specialist did not have time to do the procedure today so I had to be sent to Green Root. Thank goodness they did because I was extremely pleased with the customer service and the procedure. The moment I walked into the office, I was immediately acknowledged and greeted by Terri, the receptionist. She immediately got me to fill out the intake paperwork and called my insurance to verify coverage. She also took her time to call my OBGYN since I'm pregnant and due in 3 weeks. She needed to make sure they got the clearance to do the procedure. Soon, I was called in to get my x-rays taken and was scheduled to come back the same day to have my root canal done. The sweet doctor that performed the procedure on me was so kind. She explained all the steps and even ensured me that the meds she used would not harm the baby, which was the most important thing I needed to know. It took her about 1 hour and a half to do. Soon as she completed the procedure and the meds subside, I felt no pain. I paid the balance soon as the procedure was completed. Later that night, around 8pm or so, Terri texted me to give her a call. Now this is how I know this place is an honest place to go to. She told me that I was over charged and needed to refund my money and recharge me a new amount. I mean, come on, if she didn't call me to let me know I would have never known the procedure cost less than what she charged me. If you're looking for a professional, does great work and honest place to have your root canal done, I highly recommend Green Root. They specifically specialize in root canals and do a ton of them on a daily basis. The doctor has decades of experience that you can trust. I will definitely come back here if I needed another root canal. However, let's hope I don't because it's extremely painful. Thank you all for your help in getting me pain free again! read more

I finally heard back after calling again and dealt with a different front office person, he was very helpful. I contacted my previous dentist that had the digital X-rays and had them sent to me and I forwarded it to the Dr. The doctor did call me back and explained what she saw and her recommendations. She again was very kind and spent time helping me understand what was going on and my options. She was also grateful that I let her know about the previous repeated challenges I had. So overall, I would consider having the doctor do the work and deal with the male front office help :-). read more

STAY AWAY!! My rating is 0! This is the most horrible dental office ever! Waiting for the doctor for 90 minutes, took four x-rays (couldn't get the right image) and CVCT scan without any explanation of results or discussion of a plan of action, but right away asking for a payment for the services that have not even been provided. The office stuff extremely unprofessional, lazy and rude. Yelling at the customers and being super mean to the kids. I had to call the insurance company myself to confirm that their calculations of a payment were completely wrong. I would never recommend for anyone to go there. I have no idea how they stay in business for doing nothing to keep and please a client or at least to be attentive and understanding for children that come to the office with pain. I recently visited GreenRoot for a tooth problem that I had been experiencing, and for which I needed sound advice. Upon entering GreenRoot, I was greeted with friendly, professional, polite, and courteous staff members, Jasmine and Terry. Jasmine and Terry were very accommodating to my needs, which instantly made me feel at ease and respected. About 15-20 minutes after filling out forms, I met with Dr. Ramamurthy. During our interaction, Dr. Ramamurthy exhibited expansive knowledge, understanding, and patience as she compassionately listened to my concerns and explained my tooth condition to me (with great patience). I left the office feeling very confident about Dr. Ramamurthy's evaluation and treatment recommendation. Furthermore, I left feeling cared for and assured that I could trust Dr. Ramamurthy's professional opinion. I typically chose dental PPO plans, but 2016 I messed up and chose an HMO with Delta Dental. Let's just say it really minimizes your options as there aren't many dentists that accept this insurance. Lesson learned and I won't ever accidentally chose an HMO again. I was thankful to find GreenRoot Endo and it is pretty close to my house. I was having pains on a tooth that had previous root canal done within 5 years. I went to GreenRoot Endo for a consult and had to have it redone as it was failing. Let's just say that the staff is excellent and Dr Ramamurthy has a wonderful bedside manner. I didn't have any issues with the procedure and I remember thinking that a root canal wasn't as bad as I remember. The only issue I encountered was that the office was supposed to call Kaiser the day before my root canal to fill a prescription for Valium to take an hour before the procedure. I called Kaiser the morning before to follow up on my prescription and no one called it in. I gave it several more hours and it still wasn't filled. I called both GreenRoot offices several times and no one picked up which cased me to stress out. I asked my husband to help call since I had meetings at work. Thankfully, he got a hold of someone who "happened to be in the office." What an ordeal! Other than that, I've had a positive experience. read more
