Dr. Dalessandro has been my periodontist since 1983-1984. There was a possibility that I would lose many of my teeth due to gum issues. Earlier this year Dr. Dalessandro performed a gum graft for me. I wanted to take a minute to write to you and tell you how much I appreciate everything that he has done for me. I feel very fortunate to have such an amazing service so close to home. Normally one would have to travel to a large city to get this type of care and skill. Not only is Dr. Dalessandro an amazing and caring doctor, his staff is his right hand, taking time to teach the patient how to care for the graft and inform the patient exactly what the doctor will be doing. Well, what can i say about Dr. D and his happy group of associates..... only that they are the best group of health care professionals I have ever had the pleasure of servicing my oral care needs. The entire staff ( especially Charlie ) are just so concerned about a patients comfort and well being. The skill level of Dr. D is tops. I have had many procedures done with doctor from gum work to tooth extraction to general maintainence and the piece de resistance ... MY IMPLANT!!! Absolutely Terrible! I was sent here to have something fixed with my gums. Only to find out I had a cyst in my gums by my front teeth. Had the surgery to have the cyst removed and paid all out of pocket. Was informed that they would submit to insurance and insurance would pay me back directly what they cover. Charlee was the rudest person I've even dealt with in my life. She clearly should've retired years ago. Made me feel like I was just another number. And was quite rude about scheduling my come back times/day. Didn't matter what my schedule was, just said well you'll have to make it that day. Fast forward to having the stitches removed. Left a huge hole in my gums between my two front teeth. Asked Dalessandro if that was going to close and why it wasn't filled with the packing when they removed the cyst. His response, might close a little but we can discuss options at a later date. All the while dealing with Lisa who is in charge of submitting the claims and insurance. This was again, the absolute worst experience I've ever had. She kept telling me that she submitted the claim while insurance was mailing me letters that they needed the backup documents. I'd go back to Lisa and she would again tell me she submitted it. I'd get another letter in the mail from insurance asking me for documents. Call Lisa again and the same thing, again. This went on for months. Why make your patients pay upfront if you are the one with the documentation. I was never reimbursed a dime from insurance because they didn't provide them the documentation needed for the payout. After that I refused to go back and spend any more money with them. What happened with the hole in my gums, you might ask? Well it's still there because there is nothing that can be done now since they didn't fill this when the surgery took place. Do not go to this place unless you want a complete nightmare on your hands with your appearance and with the loss of your money. This whole facility should be ashamed of themselves. read more

What an amazing experience!! I am not a person who gets excited to go to the dentist, let alone a specialist. I knew I had a lot of work ahead of me and was ver nervous. Dr Dalessandro and the staff were so wonderful! They were so accommodation, kind and comforting. The explained the process the entire time and checked though out to make sure I was doing ok. My experience with Dr. Dalessandro's office was excellent, a definite A+. I needed extraction of an old broken tooth, filling of the jaw with bone material and the installation of a post. It was all done with local anesthesia and I felt no discomfort. The process took about a year with a number of visits. Dr. Dalessandro is excellent. I would recommend him without reservation. I moved to South Carolina but continue to visit family and friends in Illinois over the summer. During the winter I lost two teeth and there was no question where I would go to have implants installed to replace them. I have been going to Dr. Dalessandro for several years and I just recently completed my 10th dental implant. All 10 have been successful with virtually minimal discomfort. Dr. Dalessandro is a warm and kind man and he makes you feel calm and assured in his chair.. His skill is amazing and he travels all over to teach others his technique.
