Not only did Joanna make me feel completely embarrassed but she humiliated me in front of the whole office as she was cleaning my teeth and "teaching me house to brush" after asking me if I even brush my teeth daily. but took her to the end of the appointment after saying so many rude things for me to explain that my health has been very bad for her to understand what was happening in my mouth. Over the past two years, my health got really bad and with the recent diagnose of colitis, this has resulted in me throwing up daily so after I explained that, the look on her face made it seem like she felt bad finally. They did not shame me, they reassured me this was a wonderful step to taking care of myself. That I deserved to take care of myself. For the office being labeled as cosmetic, they do not push at all for whitening or straightening, or anything you didn't book for. They did my cleaning and asked if I had questions about additional services, gave me a goodie bag and booked me for a cavity fill that I paid my copay for, and after that appt they booked me 6 months out. This dentist office has big issue with insurance claiming. They did two mail claiming after my…read morecleaning visit, but they didn't receive the payment from insurance company. Then after one year from the service date, they told me it was not paid by insurance company and need patient to pay it. I was shocked because no dental office did things that way. I called insurance company to ask for the reason. Insurance company said they didn't receive any claim for that service. And I called back to dental office to ask for claim ID / reject ID / or mailing history, they didn't have any of them since they just mail the cleaning form out and nothing except that. I asked insurance company how we can do now, insurance company said even after one year of service, dental office can still do "claim with dispute" to get this done and still can do this with mail. If dental office doesn't know how to do it, they can call insurance company and insurance company can walk through the steps with dental office and teach them how to do it. Then the dental office said NO, they will not submit the "claim with dispute" since they mailed "regular claim" twice. I don't know what to say and feel so frustrated with this office. Then I realized what a unfair and non-responsible notice posted at their office lobby. I was just about to call that office to do Vaseline for my son, but this issue made me so hesitate to do that.

Shin Shin Lee D.D.S. is one of the nicest dentist who takes the time with her patient. This is a review coming from a medical physician. She has excellent bedside manner and takes great care in explaining everything she does. She takes time to answer questions and even when she is cleaning, she provides a deep clean to remove the tarter and calcification. A initial evaluation and cleaning took over 45 min. My prior dentist was always in a rush and the positive here is that she uses a numbing gel to minimize any discomfort. Many insurances accepted. I'll be back in 6 month to ensure good gum health!
