This is a first for me. A senior, I asked the cashier to put the potting soil my car. First spot…read morenext to the door! Home I see this "convenience fee" .30 for that? That used to be customer service. Advise me always learning. Seriously ?!

This was the worst I was ever treated in a store. I just moved back to the area and have been to…read morethe store many times. I went in yesterday to get some roofing supplies and a few other things and I asked after I had my stuff picked out if they had a restroom. The young girl told me yes they do and asked this one boy to show me where the restroom was. So he took me back and it was in the employee only area, which I never thought of anything about it because they approved me to go back there. A man exited the restroom who I thought when I first entered the store that he was homeless because he was standing outside the door, the tank top on and very grimy looking. And he asked me what I was doing back there and I said oh I just want to use the restroom and he said we don't have public restrooms you're not allowed to back here. And I explained that the girl told the young boy to show me where to go. And he just kept insisting they had no public restrooms. And I said OK and made my way out of the back of the store and as I'm leaving, he's still yelling at me we don't have public restrooms here. I don't know who told you that. And I explained to him again. It was the young girl that told Me and he continues to yell at me as I'm walking up to the front desk with all these people around, embarrassing me in front of these people making it seem like I was some kind of a thief. And I looked at the girl and said he won't let me use it. And she said who and I said this guy here won't let me use the restroom and you can keep your products I'll go elsewhere. I will never step a foot in that store again and it's a shame cause it's very convenient for me to use that store because I live so close. I don't know who the guy was like. I said he looked like a grimy homeless guy.

Came in today for the Spring Black Friday Sale. I was expecting to drop a pretty penny as I…read morerecently bought a home and am only beginning to acquire all the tools necessary to keep up a yard and be handy with projects around the house. Tina, the manager was extremely helpful as I sough guidance on where to find certain tools and to understand what were the sale items. She was very accommodating and happily went to the stock area of the stores to pull half a dozen tools that weren't out on display. Danny, the cashier, was also very helpful and willingly helped take a load of items out to my car and help me get everything loaded expeditiously. Great experience (albeit expensive) but so glad for the staff's helpfulness and friendliness.

The lady manager is running around the store yelling at the customers to pull their masks above…read moretheir noses. She was on a rampage and clearly more interested in forcing her personal agenda on the shoppers than to help them find the tools they were looking for. She even refused to sell to customer because his mask was not over his nose. He even demonstrated that his mask was defective (kept falling down) but she did not care and demanded that he leave. And he did peacefully. I could not believe what I just witnessed. I also left the store and a pretty full shopping cart of items in the middle of the isle. I will never return to this store. With several other hardware/ tool stores that appreciate their clients business within a 1/2 mile, I will shop there!!!

This review is more for the rental department and not for the whole store. I have picked up…read moredifferent items from Stanford Home Center for years. The customer service is usually pretty good. I think you pay more here for home improvement products than other stores but it's very convenient for me since we live within 10 minutes of the store. In the last 3 months I have rented a pressure washer, an edge sander, and a drum floor sander from their rental department. I booked these online and called to confirm my reservation. I think Stanford rents out their equipment a lot better than how Home Depot rents because it is a first come first serve situation at Home Depot. At Stanford I know that my rental will be available when I get to the store. Also the prices are a lot more reasonable than Home Depot. For each rental they were all in very good condition and I really didn't have any problems with any of them. What sets Stanford above other stores is their customer service I think. They took care of me, asked about my projects, and gave me suggestions. They remembered me from my last rental and I felt confident that if I had any problems that they would help me out. I rented the Floor drum sander for $55 for the day. I had to pay additional for sand paper but it's a lot less expensive doing this yourself than getting a contractor to do it for you. The pressure washer was very inexpensive as well for 4 hours. For the overall store I would give it a 3 so average but for their rental department it's a 5. I recommend Stanford rental to anybody. My wife has some more projects for me so I will be back soon. Thanks Stanford Home Center rental department!
