It wasn't easy for me to find parking, even late at night, but I did find one space nearby. It seemed like about 20-25% of their floorspace is alcohol, but in the rest they have a very wide variety of things, tailored to the local college student population. They have a small selection of fresh produce, they have fresh meats and cheeses, as well as a lot of canned/preserved foods and frozen foods. They also have a small/basic selection of pet supplies and they have kitchen utensils. Overall this seems like a very versatile shop, having just about everything you need, until 2am. The place was clean, well lit, and I was very comfortable shopping late at night. The cashier was polite and friendly, though he didn't offer me a receipt and I didn't notice until later, and I would have liked one. Oh well. I bought a pre-made turkey & cheese croissant sandwich for $7 and it was decent.

Every corner feels thoughtfully designed, from the colorful seating to the vintage decor and handmade pottery available for purchase. I ordered the iced chai, and it was perfectly balanced with great spice flavor without being overly sweet. We also tried the matcha, which was smooth, creamy, and beautifully layered. The drinks were made quickly and looked just as good as they tasted. Beyond the coffee, this is an amazing place to support local artists. They had handcrafted mugs, planters, pottery, ceramics, cross-stitch kits, and other gifts throughout the shop. The atmosphere is quiet enough to work, catch up with friends, or simply relax with a drink. There are plenty of tables, large windows with natural light, and comfortable seating throughout. The staff was friendly, and the entire café was clean and inviting. Parking was easy, and I appreciated how much personality the space has compared to a typical coffee chain. If you're looking for a local coffee shop in Phoenix with excellent coffee, matcha, chai, unique gifts, handmade pottery, and a cozy creative atmosphere, Pip Coffee + Clay is absolutely worth visiting. I'll definitely be back.

Ambiance (3.5/5): Pretty much your typical dive bar. Casual. Some seating at the bar and some high tops. Some pinball machines in the back. And one cool thing they do is that it's also a liquor store. So, you can make it your watering hole and also your supply for when you leave the bar. Service (4/5): I went to the bar and was greeted promptly. Received my beer, the bartender checked in on me, and I closed out pretty effortlessly. A smooth service experience. Pink elephants represent delirium tremens, my favorite beer. You can't find it in a lot of places, but this Belgian beer is a treat. They have it on tap at Kings.
