I was looking for ammo through ammo seek and found these guys. I wanted Speer gold dot in .380 and they show it for sale. They are asking $174.95 for one 50 count box. That's called highway robbery. Gouging customers like that is highly unethical. I have no intention of ever doing business with them. Paid $22+ dollars for a special ammo in stock said to be here in 4 business days. And I did call and was told it was in stock. Well it's day 6 and still a no show. So no return calls on a tracking number which is suppose to be FedEx. So my next call with follow up complaint goes to the Texas State Attorney Generals office Monday morning Aug17th. My order was accepted and paid for-but never shipped. I inquired and was told -our Wbsite is down so we cannot tell you anything and do not know when we can. This is a small operation and knowing if an order was shipped is not dependent on your website. There was no opology-just -golly gosh-we don't know. Proof that they're price gouging - husband went to Academy at NW Military and 1604 this morning to buy ammo, and once again they were sold out. Clerk behind the ammo counter said that these guys come in at 7am on their stock days and buy them out, then resell in their own shop. Why can't they buy wholesale like any other retailer? Took my money for orders that do not exist. Held my money for 7 days with nothing but promises of shipment. I have had to file a claim with my payment company, as they say "All online sales are final." Well they neglect to realize that's after they actually fulfill an order. Don't do business with them. I've never seen a shop price gouge so much in my life. They are taking advantage of new firearm owners in this "pandemic" as well as hunters (especially with the prices of their 30-30win rounds). A box of ammo that should cost $17.99, other shops are charging $30-$35 because of low inventory and their own costs going up...then there is Alamo, charging $100+ for the same thing. It is absolutely despicable that this is the route they have chosen. Looking at their site noticed a decent price on their Fed. 6.5 ammo so added 5 boxes to the cart and looked up the shipping .. it showed a total of $141.41 thinking that was a decent price I went ahead and ordered on 02/06/2021 and my account was debited for the $141.41 rather quickly ....the Fedx shipment arrived in a 1.10 lb package (with one box of 20) on 02/11/2021 . I ordered products from Alamo Ammo on Sun 10/4 which was promptly processed on Mon 10/5 for delivery on Wed 10/7. FedEx has lost the package and would just need the shipper to file a claim which Alamo Ammo said it would do on Wed 10/14 (7 days after shipping was lost) and so far, they have not responded to atleast 3 emails and the phone number is not working for customers. (Below is their response from 3 days ago). I've been patient but have requested the claim be filed in order to be refunded. I understand they have no control over the package being lost but they do have all control in the response or lack there of, to customers that have purchased from their site. As of today Thu 10/15 3:15pm, no claim has been filed. They had what I needed, at a time when no one else does, their prices are in line with ammofind.com, & it was a quick & easy transaction. They have a lot of different ammo on a table right out front, & the person who I dealt with (Steve?) was friendly, helpful & quick. The price was high, but either the seller or FedEx messed my address up and the package has been going back and forth to two cities for many times now. The real complaint is that Alamo's customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. I will never do business with this company again and I hope people don't give them their business.
