Great gun shop excellent selection friendly staff. I shop here every time I'm in town

I want to put this out there for my fellow veterans and service dog owners. Today, August 14th, 2026 several friends and I went to Adelbridge gun shop at 7080 San Pedro Ave San Antonio, TX 78216 and the store owner violated the Federal Americans with Disability Act (ADA). One of my friends has two certified service dogs and the store owner came out the back of the store and told my friend the dogs had to be under control. When we both tried to inform him the dogs were under control he said they had to be on a leash. We both tried to explain to the store owner, the ADA law does not specify being on a leash but only under the control of the (dogs) owner, the store owner asked my friend to leave. This business needs to be boycotted as not veteran friendly read more

very unprofessional! Owner gives you crackhead prices on excellent firearms he assumed I didn't know anything and tried to give me $2500 on firearms that were valued well over $8000 even his staff was embarrassed they had to walk away . You would do better a pawnshop. read more

I rate it a solid 3.5 stars. One; if not the best gun store I've seen in San Antonio yet. I've been to Adelbridge and Co. more than plenty of times and, every time I've been I have there I've been greeted as well as treated great by all the staff. I love it, everyone is informative and makes the store very welcoming. As well at the cats. The only reason I'm not rating 5 stars. Is because the Gun smith area, ONLY because the lack of communication. I had a firearm that was getting parts, tested and tuned. The estimated time that was said the fire arm would be completed was 10 days. The whole time my fire arm was there, I didn't get a SINGLE update on how everything was going and what was needed (if anything) to get it functioning properly. I waited 14 days, gave them a call to see if it was ready for pick up. I was informed they they were having trouble. So I just let it be and waited a whole month and about a week. Till I decided I was just gonna pick it up and take the fire arm elsewhere to get the work done. Because I still didn't get a single notification or update on my fire arm. HOWEVER. When I got there to pick it up, I was told, my firearm has been done....... Again I was never informed or updated on it, no message, no email, no call. Nothing. After picking it up, I went out to see If the fire arm will work as it should... and sure enough... it was ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS. The gunsmiths are GREAT at what they do, no doubt about it. There's just no communication and, I get it. They are a big store, they are popular and have a lot of work on their hands, but a simple update here and there goes a long way! read more

Rude. Rude. Rude. Do NOT expect any decent customer service from here. Big guy at the front desk was insanely disrespectful, couldn't even ask for what I was looking for and was met with a "NO" before I could finish. If I could rate 0 stars, I would. Head a little further up the street to Nagel's and expect friendliness and ACTUAL customer service. Thanks for nothing gentlemen. Your cats were nicer than your humans! read more

I found what I wanted online. Due to the great selection I wound up picking something else up while there. The check out process was quick with a CHL. The staff answered all my questions and inquiries as needed. With the new purchases I am one happy camper. Will definitely return in the future. read more

I bought a used single action pistol that was advertised as interchangeable cylinders. I drove an hour to go there and an hour home, only to find out the second cylinder did not fit this gun. When I returned it, they were rude and not apologetic. read more

Largest selection of firearms I've seen in San Antonio, and reasonable prices. They have everything! On my first visit, just browsing, I found two used rifles I had been searching for! Nice. I highly recommend! read more

Leaving 2 stars and not 1 only bc the store is loaded with guns and cool stuff but the customer service is horrible! Went in was looking for a specific gun to buy that day, salesman just kept talking and showing me guns but forgot to mention they stop doing sales 30 mins before closing... Went to Nagel's and had no problems, was in and out with a background check and my new gun within 30 mins! Way better customer service and it's right down the road! Go there instead!! read more

Excellent service and a wide assortment of firearms . Superb customer service . Competitive pricing too . I will be going back and I definitely recommend it . read more

I see why the reviews here are so poor. I spent 30 minutes with my husband to not be acknowledged by a single person. We walked around the entire store. No "hey, how are you", no "welcome in". Nothing. I didn't even have to go there, I drove out of my way since my husband purchased a gun with them a few weeks prior. We left with no insight on anything. Maybe if we were a different ethnicity we would've gotten paid attention to. And you know they don't give a d*mn about their services when an owner/manager doesn't even try to make amends to their negative reviews. Yikes. read more

I stopped in on my lunch hour and was not greeted by the staff. There was more staff than costumers. I walked around a twice and was never greeted by any staff. I asked a staff member (large Balding Man) about a part for my Glock. His response was short and his deminer was not professional. It was like I was disturbing him. They have a big selection, and it seems they know it. Their Ego is getting in the way of customer service. I'm not even talking about their $$$$$$. I will not recommend them for any sales or service. This was my experience with this company. It will be my last. read more

Prices are pretty high at this shop, but worst of all, the manager I spoke to about their gun-ordering procedures was unbelievably rude. My questions may have been simple but didn't require that kind of attitude. I have been there several times and did notice a kind of weird paranoia among the employees. Maybe they are on edge because of the neighborhood. I don't know, but I will not be spending my money there ever again. read more

1. The Manager has no customer service skills whatsoever. A total A-Hole. I'm surprised no one has complained about his cat who bites people. 2. As with most other reviews I walked around the entire store stopping at each display and not one time was I greeted or ask if I need any assistance. I had to track an employee down which they were all gathered at the front of the store or in the rear. 3. The associate that I finally tracked down was a short Asian American with glasses. I don't remember his name which is no surprise since my visit was unmemorable overall. I was interested in a particular model but he kept saying that there were recalls on this gun and I should get the 2nd generation of this gun. I great can you order me it. Then his story suddenly changed to well the gen 2 isn't out yet. He obviously was talking out his as-hole. Like most of the guys there they talk a big game but actually know very little and the stuff they are selling. 4. I wouldn't buy anything from this store until they can retrain their staff and improve their customer service. 5. If I need to I will only go here to see the gun in person and just buy it online. No taxes and definitely way cheaper online. 6. Which leads me to my next point the prices here are outrageously higher than what they should be. 7. Last, I would only say that I notice a certain type of clientele receiving better customer service than all others. I would let you figure out which group that was. Hope this review helps. Good luck and shop at your own risk. read more

I've bought a few guns from this place right after they opened the small spot and after they moved. Two shotguns I bought there have had major issues that needed to be fixed. The gun smiths obviously don't go through the used firearms throughly before putting them out for purchase. Both shot guns from reputable brands and were bought for self defense. What if I actually needed them to work during an emergency? I would have them disassemble anything before purchase. For the price sometimes it's too good to be true. read more

If I could rate it 0 I would, we were standing at the counter for 10 mins waited for a worker to stop talking to a customer asked a question he went back to original customer which is reasonable. We stood there for another 10 mins as he finished helping the og customer then completely ignored us and went to help someone else who got there after us. read more

When I was a new gun owner these guys sold me a fake trijicon rmr. That's a $500 scam. I should probably have sued them. I had the receipt and the guy in the store clearly said "yeah this is a great gun and it comes with an rmr." He is the one who sort of has a high pitched accent and even after that, I still gave them my business, bought more guns and optics from them, because they were in stock and not available anywhere else. Years later I get that same guy again and he has a horrible attitude when showing me pistols. There's a bigger guy who always wears a hat that is cool, but that long haired high pitched voice dude is an a hole, and I know a lot of the other employee's there pride themselves on acting the same way. Being scammed on a $500 optic is crazy though. I wonder if the ATF/Feds should look into this place. read more

The customer service is lacking but the rudeness is abundant. The 50ish bald guy acts like its a giant bother to speak to customers. Nice selection but the customer service is absolute crap. I asked the guy at the front desk to see something and he told me I needed to go "find" a salesman. Then after I found a salesman, he was was a pompous dbag with long hair that was so arrogant I actually walked out on him. Went to nagels a couple blocks away and got exactly what I wanted for cheaper from a much nicer salesman. They get 1 star because it's the least I can give. We stopped in from out of town. I asked a guy where there rest room was and was told "we don't have one". I guess they just pee in a cup? My husband was looking at nice pistols while the salesman spent the time running down another gun shop with a smug tone. We went to that other gun shop and spent our money there. read more

by far the worst gun shop in San Antonio. Their customer service is absolutely horrible. I was charged a 20% restock fee for an optic that their expert told me I needed for my application. Not knowing anything about this specific optic I chose to take his word (He's the expert) Boy was that a mistake. Not only was said optic $600 more than my planned spending amount I get screwed for $200 more on a restock fee. The optic quality was trash and recommended by their "expert" and I take the hit. Truly unreal. Think twice before doing business with these crooks. read more

I can honestly say that this is the worst customer experience I have ever had As an adult male. Today, I walked into the main entrance and was looking for a custom hunting rifle for elk season. Had about $5000 to put down on a new rifle and high-end optics. After looking at the back counter rifles on the wall and racks for five or six minutes, I asked two young two sales reps behind the computer if I need to get a number or something to get service. He said no and they continued to have a vulgar side bar conversation about things unrelated to work. I then interjected and asked him about purchasing a rifle and wanted to see if he had any pre-64 Winchester 70 Featherweight in stock. He briefly looked it up on the computer and said no and pointed high upon the wall and told me he had that one only. Expecting him to walk over there and show it to me, he went directly back behind the computer screen and continued to have his sidebar conversation with his buddy who was also a sales person! I just sat there in complete disbelief for another five minutes being as patient as could be expected. Out of patience, I headed out to the front trying to get some adult supervision to remedy the problem. All I got was this other sales representative who started insulting me for losing my temper. I told him he should know what happened and that his employees lack sales training and leadership. To make even a bad situation worse, this dirtbag front employee who escalated the situation by insulting me about being a Marine and implying that I was an imposter and was faking my position as a combat service member began to "inform me" about his service as an Air Force reservist...I had enough and walked out the door with my money in my wallet. Can you believe a guy trying to insult a Marine with 6 combat tours by trying to impress everyone around him by stating with masculine effect that he should have instant credibility because he is "an AF reservist?" It was laughable and almost wet my pants with laughter. This jack weed probably hasn't ever slept in the field without a tent before yet alone even deployed. What a clown show. I will never place a foot inside that store again. Go somewhere else for your services. Good luck. read more

was shopping around for a firearm and wanted to see if I would get approved here in Texas. I found a gun I wanted and proceeded with the background and was told to wait 30 min. So I did and when they got a response they told me there's a delay. I was fine with waiting but was then told if I left the store without paying for the firearm first they would cancel the background check. I was reluctant on doing that since it was $700 I wouldn't have access too at least until I get a response back but they assured me I would get a full refund if denied. So I said okay let's do it and I paid the $680. As I left the store and drove away I was rethinking that choice since it's a lot of money and the salesman told me it could be 30 days before hearing anything so I decided to call back not even 10 minutes later and tried to tell them if they can cancel the whole transaction. They were trying to charge me a 20% ($136) restocking fee that no one told me about before paying, which is bullshit since the Gun has only been off the sales floor for 10 minutes maybe even less. So I just decided to go through my bank because the manager wasn't being helpful by telling me that policy is on the receipt. The fucking receipt that you get after paying ??? Makes no sense. On top of that I should have shopped online first. They tried selling me a used Walther PDP for $680 when online I could have bought a new one for $600 same specs. read more

Went into this store twice within one month being since I live two miles away. Second time I went in was with my wife. Wanted to trade in a gun and purchase a new one. For my wife and I, it's about the customer service and there wasn't any to be had. We walked in with no customer service and we were not acknowledged by anyone. Not even a hello. Walked around the store and still nothing. Again, it's about the customer service for us and we will no longer return again. Lost all future sales with us. read more

Preface: Per my personal experience and opinion...... If you count on the Owner to keep his word or to treat you with respect and/or professional courtesy - DO NOT HOLD YOUR BREATH - Plan on being ghosted. Now, the Review: Two (2) years ago, I posted a positive review for this establishment. Boy, how things change over time. I just went in to the store today with a friend who is an avid gun enthusiast and collector and who was in a buying state-of-mind BUT .... Were we greeted when we entered? NO !! Did any sales person ask us if we needed help or wanted to see anything in particular? NO !! Did any employee even remotely display any conduct resembling great Customer Service? NO !! I was browsing for ammo for at least 15 minutes and during that period, did one employee engage me by asking if I need help to find something or to tell me what was on sale or to even say hello? NO !! My friend asked to see a firearm and was told that it was not to be taken out of the display cabinet. Can you believe that a shop wanting to sell a costly firearm won't allow the prospective purchaser to examine !?! The feel of a handgun is one of the most important selling factors. I know because I have won awards for selling firearms and have been in the industry since 1995 and have been in sales in 2 local stores here in San Antonio. The below review is NO LONGER VALID but I haven't deleted it because it's a perfect example of how a good business can sink and lose prestige simply by hiring the wrong personnel especially those who are lazy, uninviting, lacking in Customer Service skills, and who honestly don't care to be bothered by anything other than keep a chair seat warm and getting a paycheck. read more

They have a decent selection but have the most expensive ammo of any large city in the state of Texas outside of Corpus Christi. I travel the full breadth of the state for work and been to many, many gun stores. But do not trust the staff. They will mislead or straight out lie to you to make a sale. Do not rely on their word for anything. read more

While visiting San Antonio in Sept. 2020, I had to make a tour of the local gun stores. I hit around five stores total. The first four were nothing special. Adelbridge was my final stop. I never heard of this location but it was hands down, the best of the group. You felt welcome here. I was shopping for an AR upper. Strikeouts out the other shops. Homerun here. They had a few in stock from stripped to complete. I purchased a complete upper with BCG and Charging Handle...at a great price. The box that it came in had one price on it but when scanned, it came in at $30 more. They honored the lower price. I didn't even have to ask for it. David was great on this sale as were managers Dan & Rob. Rest of the staff was also very friendly. Don't waste time at the other stores. This is your one-stop shop. read more

I'm leaving my review now after finally using the pistol I bought from Adelbridge a few months ago. I am completely satisfied with the pistol I purchased. Even though it is a used piece, it fired beautifully today. I feel that the price I paid was very fair for a "rare" gun that functions great. I would say that this is a trustworthy store, and the slightly higher price is a trade off for an excellent selection on both firearms and other hard to find accessories. I will say that this shop isn't going to "baby"' you during your selection or purchase process. Obviously they answer all the questions they can, but they won't really guide you to anything, and they'll let you make whatever decision for you're going to make. Again, everyone there was super helpful and kind when I engaged them, but it's definitely best to do research on your own and ask intelligent questions. I found their online catalog to be up to date and accurate. I was able to research the firearms I was interested in ahead of time and come in to specifically ask about what I wanted to see. They have a huge selection so enjoy the process. My one note would be that it would be great to have their layaway policy be a bit more customer friendly. I had started layaway for one forearm I thought I wanted, but realized it would be a bad choice for me as a beginner. There's a 20% restocking fee, and I did come back to the store to purchase another firearm instead of the one I had chosen. Obviously I didn't complain because this was the agreement I signed, but it would have been awesome to have been given a choice like buying items that totaled the 20% restock fee. I ended up not buying any ammo there because I paid the fee on top of the firearm I ended up buying. No worries though, it's understandable. All in all, I will definitely keep looking through their online catalog for new items, and will probably return in case I need to buy something specific to my brand of gun, since some places in town don't stock anything for my brand of gun. read more

Do you like super snotty employees? Do you like when people roll their eyes, scoff and walk away when you try to ask a question? Do you like the overwhelming feeling of being unwelcome? On top of all of that, do you like surprisingly inflated prices? Yes?? Great! In that case, you have found your new favorite local shop. Head on down ASAP so you can be ignored, dismissed and unappreciated by their superbly rude staff. Cool gun selection, but save yourself the time, money and frustration by shopping at Dury's right down the road. read more

No question the best gun shop in SA. The selection is fantastic, clearly more and of a wider variety than any competitor. I wouldn't go here for ammo, not a huge selection. The employees are top notch. Very helpful, several prior military and clearly experts. The pet cat they have is a nice touch. I purchased a shotgun and suppressor and they walked me through every single step and left nothing unfinished. Not going anywhere else but here. Ammo online. read more

The service is the biggest detractor. I would recommend Nardis, Nagels, or Mission Ridge before this. The guys in this shop treat it like a boys club that they all come hang out at instead of an actual job. The dude that runs the place is pretty disrespectful and his manager is basically the same. They do have great selection, but the major lack of customer service makes me want to cut off my toes before trying to purchase another firearm through them. I also don't think they care that much about actual 2A rights and instead just pretend they do. Makes me sad. I would rather take a tour of the titanic on a sketchy sub than revisit this establishment. read more
