Always enjoy the experience Bass Pro Shop tries to give you by coming here. I was able to take my foreign exchange student here and he LOVED it. It took two hours to get out of the store because he loves fishing so much. He even tried the shooting game! read more

Cool store! I love how much they have to offer. Clothes, gear, snacks. Everything you need for a great trip. They have lots of space and cool decor to look at. I think this store has good customer service as the employees are very knowledgeable on what they offer aswell as kind. Some of the stuff is quite expensive but they do at least offer more affordable options as well. I like that they have a shooting game as it's always a lot of fun. Definitely a great store. read more

They say we will call you back when your background check comes in...... and they don't. Then your second gun purchase they say the same thing and expect you to believe them. Then it takes 30 minutes to finally get them to pick up the phone and the they give you to a fake manager when you ask to speak to them after being hanged up on multiple times. Never again I'm going to pay off my pro card credit card and never shop there again!!!! read more

First time at a Bass Pro Shop and holy moly do they have everything you could need for camping, hiking, backpacking, everyday clothing and more! My husband and I are prepping for a backpacking trip and they even carry multiple freeze dried packaged food, tents, backpacks, hiking shoes and more! It honestly felt like a really cool indoor Costco. Everyone working there was super helpful and nice and quite accommodating. Prices do vary but it's not too pricey. read more

Awesome store with a theme park feel. There is literally everything you need for any outdoor sport or occasion, and prices are comparable to other sports stores as well. Great place to visit if you are in the area, especially if you have kids. The indoor water features are really cool, and they keep the store very clean for it being so big. read more

Just picked up a box of Federal Fusion 150 gr with a bonded lead core for my .30-06. The dumb in the ammo department decided to chime in with his 2 cents worth, saying it was 'Gavin Newsom' ammo because it was lead free, and key-holed when shot through a paper target. Furthermore, he said it wouldn't kill big game! Having been a long time user of this particular ammo, I know it has a lead core, is extremely accurate and kills deer and elk sized critters like lightning. For a second opinion, checkout 'Masonoutdoors' on YouTube, he found it to be as good as I did. I gotta ask myself, where did Bass Pro Shop find this knucklehead to work there and why would they put him to selling ammo if he is so ignorant about the stuff he's selling? in my experience, this is outstanding ammunition at a pretty good price. Buy it with confidence. read more

Giant sporting goods store! Great selection but don't expect many bargains. The real advantage is the huge selection from clothing, to fishing gear, hunting gear, and much more. Service: employees were helpful overall but in some areas hard to find. The young man at the knife counter was very knowledgeable and helpful. Overall cleanliness: above average read more

Careful about the free hat offer for credit card application. The reps at the front will tell you its not a hard credit check when actually is. Call customers is hit or miss if they answer. I got a hold of Manny Rios the club manager and he told me the best he could do is a discount and that reps aren't suppose to tell what type of credit pull it is. read more

I mean what not to like?! They have so much stuff ! We love coming every year for photos with Santa. I'm so happy that provide that for everyone. We come for fishing supplies mostly which they have aisles of. Service is always good and we get checked out in a timely manner. The prices are a bit high sometimes then which you can find at other stores on a good amount of things. But let's face it the place is neat. read more

I have to lead off with - I go to Brass Pro Shops for an entirely different reason than most. While everyone is busy shopping for hunting, camping, outdoor, etc. gear, I am there to see the fish and play the shoot'n game! Brass Pro is like a mini amusement park whenever I feel bored, I walk myself over to the store and peruse the fancy boats, sit on the fish shaped bench to watch the massive bass swim by, and have a pocket full of quarters to try to beat my high score at the shoot'n range. You'll also find at holidays that you can even stop in to see Santa! Every time I go the staff are friendly and helpful and on the occasions when I do make a purchase I have no troubles in the checkout. My favorite part about the store is the small food goods section, where you can find novelty items like hot sauces that'll get you in trouble if you say their names out loud, and jerky made from animals you won't find at the grocery store. I am not even an outdoorsy person, but I'll tell you what for some reason I always have a blast at Bass Pro Shops! read more

The experience entering the store has become TSA-like, corralling people thru a turnstile with a uniformed fella brandishing a very official looking earpiece and ordering people to hurry up while they try to figure out his entry apparatus. Bass Pro, you need to rethink this and don't go down this sort of road. If I want to be ordered and humiliated I'll go to the airport. read more

This store does have many things to offer the outdoors man but I have to say that some of their staff are very prejudice. These character is very obvious and I have personally experienced it twice in the three times that I have had to visit the San Antonio location. I don't know what there prerogative is regarding race but it seems that the staff should have some remedial training on the subject. read more

Be very careful if you go to this store. We had our truck stolen from their parking lot and found out the cameras don't work. After having our truck stolen we found out lots of trucks are stolen there or broken into. The manager of the store wouldn't even talk to us or the police. Called and talked to corporate about this and they didn't care. Will never walk into another bass pro or Cabela's. It's hard for me because I shopped at every store I saw. No more. One star because that's as low as you can go. read more

First the sales clerks in the woman's department was unfriendly and not helpful. Secondly, I was given a recommendation for an APP by Bluegreen /Hilton Time Share that would provide discounts at Bass Pr Shops, the manager said he had never seen that and refused to use discount. Then my husband asked if he could plug his phone in because it was dead and the same manager said no. My husband also asked if there was a display set up of a chair he was interested in and was told no that it was being saved for someone else. This is not good as I have a new Bass Pro shop opening in Midland TX soon that I will not spend money for bad service. read more

Normally I love Bass Pro, but the gun department at the San Antonio TX store deserves less than a 1-star. I've had many rifle scopes mounted and borescoped over the years. Every time, I was then able to go to the range and get on paper at 100yds--then adjust my scope from there. I recently had a new scope put on my 30-06 and borescoped by a young man working in the gun shop. Fast forward a few weeks: I just got back from the range. I shot 6 rounds at 100yds and never got on paper. Had to move to the 50yd range. There I was hitting 2 FEET high and 1 1/12 FEET left. AT 50 yds! I was charged for mounting and borescoping, but I think that kid just slapped that scope on the rifle and handed it back to me. It was so far off, I couldn't move the elevation reticle enough to get on the bulls eye. I will have to take the rifle in to be borescoped by a different gun shop--someone who knows what the heck they are doing. TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE! read more

So, I take my 2007 Kenner Boat in for repair, I told them everything that was done and the issues I was having, they told me it would be about two weeks before they can get it in to shop, I wasn't in any hurry, two weeks goes by and tell me they need diag time and order a tps sensor, which was causing the runaway idle. I told them go ahead. A week goes by, they call me again, said boat motor still doing same thing, but the fuel pump wasn't installed correctly, they need to fix it so engine could run correctly, I told them go ahead if it's going to fix the issue. Another week goes by and they tell that didn't fix the issue, but one of there tech had same boat and they wanted to swap ecm to test if that was the issue, I said go ahead. A couple of days later they call me and said that didn't fix it but they found a leaky intake manifold gasket leaking and they were pretty sure that was the issue. I siad go ahead and fix it, I get another call a week later, that they needed to take to the lake to test the engine, I said go ahead, I just wanted my boat fixed at this time, so They call me again and said they fixed the alarm issues but not the idle issue which both are related. I pick boat up got charged 1645.00 For a boat that came out the same way it went in But with damage to the bottom of the hull, the techs that took boat out bottomed out on my boat, I have the inspection report on intake, there was no damage on the bottom. At this point, Basspro is definitely is no go for any kind of repairs or testing of boats, stay away, my attorney is going to take care of this matter.ive called them, to be ignored and treated like poop. So you can spend your money there, I won't. read more

Gun section is a joke. Rude employees and lack of knowledge is unsatisfactory and unacceptable. Unacceptable. Dear bass pro, do better!!! read more

Nice store but never order online for store pickup. They are extremely disorganized and have long wait time for pickup. My order sat in their store for 7 days before I showed up in person. I was still told item had not arrived. The .com customer service said my item was in the store. With my persistence they finally looked for my package. This took nearly an hour from the time I arrived to the time they gave me my package. This is not good business. This purchase was ordered and paid for 11 days prior. read more

5:45 on a Saturday. Store was busy. They only had three checkout registers open. Line was in the apparel section. I I saw two manager and a lead standing around. I ask the lead cashier who was standing in front if she was planning on opening another register. She said she had three open. So I handed her my merchandise and left. This is by far the biggest Bass Pro Shop I have ever been too! As you enter from the main entrance you will be amazed to see that not only is there a huge shopping atrium, but there are two levels! Look to your left and you see a full restaurant and a fudge shop snack bar. Wow, we came in here looking for stocking stuffers and came out with much more. During Christmas you will always find Bass Pro is a cool place to take kids so they can see a really traditional looking Santa - not one of those bright red cheap Santa you see at most Malls. This BPS goes further by adding an indoor carousel and other rides for the little ones. I loved it! read more

This is a trend within the culture of the store, terrible customer service. Pre purchased a firearm online and was treated rudeley by the firearm employees. Suposedly you have to pre check in with a QR code , that you arent aware of unless told. Then i waited 2 hours while other walk ins were treated as paying customers and by looking and not buying. Never going back. Honestly i dont like Academy either but was never treated this badly as a paying customer. I love this place. However, the staff can can either very helpful or very uninterested. The older dudes behind the gun counter are super awesome and can pop a few jokes with you while you're gun shopping. They are extremely helpful and filled with knowledge about the guns the store has. The younger dudes don't seem very interested, and they don't really know much about any of the guns. Overall it's an awesome place and I will continue to go. read more

Went in with me son looking to get a new shotgun. They were a little busy but not overwhelmed. It took the employees a little while to help those individuals which is fair. Once they were done helping those customers however, they were apparently too busy talking about football and screwing off than actually helping a customer.
