Where do I even start! Kaelen is simply the best, ( il start there) when-ever she said she would contact me with next steps she did, I didn't have to wait days for the pre approval . every conversation was productive towards the end goal. I was always able to get in contact with Kaelen during the process at all times which really helped she truly has made the process run super smooth. Thank you Jason Smith and the team at Alameda Mortgage for the outstanding job you did for us in December. Your responsiveness, urgency, persistence and commitment to getting the deal done the right way and in record time make it a no-brainer for us to return and engage you all again. Highly recommended! read more

Don't use Alameda Mortgage. If a mortgage lender recommends them, tell him to search harder. You will jump through hoops for a month or more. They question every transaction you've made. I felt like a criminal by the end of the transaction. read more

I am surprised to see the high 4.5 star rating for AMC because my experience was subpar. Joe and Sarah are very nice people and have good intentions but it took over 65 days to get my conventional loan approval with an in-house underwriter at that. Furthermore, there was no sense of urgency and indifference. I brought this to the attention of the staff and the owner, Lawrence but to no avail. Also, every request and verification from AMC was last minute and in piecemeal which was inefficient and cause of the delay. For example, I closed escrow four days ago and it has been radio silence from them. No notice of escrow closing, no congratulatory email, no communication at all. If you have the patience and don't want the personal touch regarding one of your most important purchases and life event then use AMC otherwise...... read more

We recently purchased our first home working with David Honda at AMC. We got a recommendation through a family friend and, being our first house purchase, we were rather worried about the entire process and we just didn't know what to expect. David was immediately disarming and put us at ease due to how personable and gregarious he was - a perfect match for us. He was on top of the process every step of the way, calling us pretty much daily with updates and next steps, anticipating roadblocks, coordinating with escrow and the realtors, and (prior to locking in) tracking the mortgage rates. Even though we had never been through the process, he was very skilled at conveying all of the options we had available to us in terms we easily understood and with a personality that made us feel like he was excited to be part of the process; someone who really loves his job. We were never left wondering what was expected of us and not once throughout the whole process did a call go to voicemail. Couldn't ask for a better team to help us through! read more

Amalia was the greatest! She cared for what I wanted and was able to give me great advice on how the home lending works. She worked with me one on one and gave me her full attention. We worked with Tonya Dennett and she was amazing and so incredibly helpful to us as 1st time home buyers. She answered all our questions promptly and with so much patience. I recently worked with Jessica at AMC, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, her team was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. ahe guided me through every step of the mortgage process with clarity and patience, answering all my questions and addressing any concerns promptly. Jessica's attention to detail and commitment to finding the best solution for my needs was truly impressive. I highly recommend Jessica to anyone seeking a reliable and efficient mortgage lender. We have had the pleasure of working with TC on more than one occasion. As usual his responsiveness, knowledge and patience was second to none. We had a lot of curveballs thrown our way during this process and he was on top of everyone of them. He always had a plan ready to go, and often a back-up plan, to make sure our loan was going to be in place and on time. Knowing that your in such good hands truly reduces the stress level of such a stressful time. We are in our dream house now and can confidently say that TC is one of the biggest reasons we were able to make it happen. read more

This is the 2nd time I've been working with Eric Geli as my loan officer. Eric is a great guy - helped me to significantly reduce my rate on main and rental homes, eventually even combining both loans into one for a low overall rate (since rates for rental homes are typically higher). Eric's process was very much streamlined through the AMC app and website, plus frequent updates via text messages, so I always knew what was going on and what the latest status is/was. Big kudos to Eric and the team at AMC! read more

The joy of buying a home - often Get's clouded by tedious details... especially during a pandemic! That being said, Michelle Walker is hands down a diligent and determined lady. She's knowledgeable and honest. I am a straight to the point gal & maybe that's why I appreciate her so much. I must add this is my second home with her & saying this is my second, I wanted no one but her on my team. No disrespect but Michelle - no more houses for me!!! read more

Borrower beware. Joe Trippy will mislead you into thinking he can get you approved! Then he will send out emails saying "corporate" has everything approved just waiting on formal "sign offs" to your agent and the listing agent. He does not care about wasting anyone's time or money. To call this company incompetent would be a compliment. Joe Trippy is a great story teller and time waster. His co worker Luis Carrera is just as bad. Also listing agents beware of any Pre qualification letters you may receive from Joe Trippy as he doesn't seem to care about misleading and misrepresenting a potential buyer. Joe Trippy will not answer your calls or return them. He is very good at texting at around 4:55 p.m. saying tomorrow he will have an answer tomorrow, this will go on as long as you allow it. If you're serious about buying a home I would stay as far away from this chop shop as you can. I have never witnessed an operation like this in almost 20 years of business. I hate that I even have to give them 1 star! read more

After two decades of hearing friends tell horror stories about the mortgage and pre-approval process I had a lot of anxiety going forward. I found AMC from yelp reviews here, and then later my agent (Tania Seabock) recommended them independently. There stars are well deserved. The team at Alameda Mortgage made the entire process super smooth. There were no hiccups, no surprises, and the structure of their financing allowed me to be very competitive. We had a two week closure and I am super happy with the experience. read more

We want to commend Kaelen Cavalli at Alameda Mortgage for her patience, attention to detail and her commitment to providing superior customer service. We decided to go with Alameda Mortgage to refinance our home because of a horrible, inexcusable experience provided by another mortgage firm. The level of service provided by Kaelen will make us a loyal customer of Alameda Mortgage and will eagerly recommend Kaelen to our friends and colleagues who are looking for home loans or Mortgage refinance. Thank you Kaelen!! read more

We bought our first house directly from a builder in 2012, 5/1 Arm, since then, for 5 years, we've been trying to change our mortgage type to a better terms; every year we would spend good 4 months paper works and at the end banks would refuse. My best friend introduced Kaelen to us, she reviewed my application and gave her word to get it done in a month time; and she delivered as she promised, even with better mortgage terms! and as a cherry on top, she delivered on my birthday night! Thank you Kaelen and your professional team for a hassle less experience; you were thorough on the procedures, kept us informed of the status at all time, and we loved your online system for reviewing, initialing and signing documents! read more

James Soto rocks!! He was professional, polite and thorough throughout the entire process. James was extremely patient and took the time to explain every step and made sure I understood what I was signing. Carlos D. I am 63 yrs. old and have bought and refinanced several homes, thus I understand how stressful purchasing a new home can be. Nevertheless, I can truly say that Jose Menendez made this process easier than I have ever experienced. He was knowledgeable, professional and able to work with us despite our lack of computing experience. Needless to say I would definitely recommend Alameda Mortgage to prospective buyers/sellers. read more

My partner and I were paying a pretty high interest on our SF property mortgage. We urgently needed to refinance our loan. We were VERY lucky to find Jose Menendez who works at Alameda Mortgage! He was GREAT!!! Super patient, respectful and knowledgeable. He even came in person to my office to pick up documents to make things easier for us! As we all know, refinancing is a long and tedious process, however he was always positive and ALWAYS answered my phone calls and emails quickly. Everyone at Alameda Mortgage are great and work as a team! Managed to lower my interest rate dramatically and we are saving hundreds of dollars a month! Needless to say, we are very happy customers! We now became very good friends with Jose and enjoy going out to dinner together! I will recommend Jose Menendez and Alameda Mortgage for all your mortgage and refinancing needs! Great guy!!! Keep up the good work Jose! read more

Alameda Mortgage gets 2 thumbs down with my experience . Inexperienced and bad timing with a processor there by the name of Amanda Xavier , too much to describe in detail but she cost me time and money by not informing me ahead of time what might happen if I proceed with my loan , not focused on the best interest of the customer a inexperienced moron . Go elsewhere . read more

If I could give this company negative stars I would, first and foremostly very unprofessional! Not only did the agent speak down on a client to someone else, the agent also told an outside source that they did not want to answer their questions due to the fact that they had already put the client in a bind with multiple liens on their house. The clients had no knowledge of these liens until it was time to reaccess their loan, so when they tried to speak with the agent with an outside source the agent began to talk down on the client after he had put them in a bind. He later called the client to complain in a very unprofessional way. Seems to me this company is only trying to get their money not putting people in homes that will benefit the client. read more

We had a great purchase transaction, made even better by Kaelen Cavalli and Dan Carter! They were with us every step of the way to a successful closing. Both Kaelen and Dan are the ultimate professionals! I would recommend them and Alameda Mortgage Corporation to everyone :) read more

Worst mortgage experience I've ever been through. Broker was useless, unresponsive and more importantly made all kinds of promises, including refunding us $2K after close to reimburse rate lock extensions (because closing process took twice as long as estimated) and appraisal fees. We closed...and broker blew us off. Had to go chase down this scumbag personally. Alameda Mortgage ignored us as well. This is a strong thing to say about a business...but this whole process felt shady. My advice is AVOID this company at all costs. There's a ton of brokers out there. This is one of those times where I'm gonna tell you...trust the bad review. It's not worth the headache. read more

Eric Geli did a great job getting our loan processed and I am very grateful for all of his help. Thank you!

I just refinanced my Mortgage with Kaelen Cavalli and despite my hectic schedule, she was more than happy to work with me/around it to ensure that it was an easy process and that I received the best rate possible. Very professional while also being pleasant to work with. Couldn't appreciate the quick responses and personal care more. read more

Bento Taran helped us with our home loan, and he was excellent. He was always available if we had questions and explained everything to us very thoroughly when necessary. Jerry Oliver was amazing to work with. He was organized, professional, smart and very personable. He was able to turn around our paperwork very quickly and was responsive to us and our real estate agents. He clearly knows the industry inside and out and is very good at explaining the details to a lay-person such as myself. When our appraiser was going to charge us an extra $150 and I pushed back on the charge, Alameda Mortgage Corp. paid for the charge themselves without making a big fuss or being asked to. Jerry went the extra mile at every turn. read more

We worked with Kaelen in order to obtain our mortgage and could not have been happier with the process. From start to finish she was right there answering all our crazy questions. We changed our minds about 5 times in the few months we were trying to obtain the loan. Please read this before going to this company.I highly recommend not ever talked to person name CHARLES ERIMAN (Mortgage Specialist NMLS#474937). This page is not enough to explain everything but this peron will always say yes i can help you. He always have an excuse to lie to you just to keep you around & ofcourse make money from you. He took 11 months & at the end he cluldnt do it. I can explain more & tell you what really happen so just u can move on & find another person who can help you. Just hit me up & i promose i will tell u & even help you find someone. And the 2nd person that u need to avoid is JOANNE PADDILA (loan processor). She is hard to contact & a lot of times she wont call back ofcourse her responce is so busy. She even sent me a wrong documents which indicates 1 family husband, wife & 1 child that has full names, add, & all of them social security numbers. Not once but she sent me twice in 1 week apart with 2 different family member. If you think im making it up? Hit me up & i have a copies via email. I will proof it to you that she did what she did. Let me know if you have any questions because i do not want anybody to suffer of what they hve done to me specially CHARLES ERIMAN. read more

I don't know how to start or end this without "Amazing" being the focal point on how Kaelen is at her Job!!! When we started out on this journey, I did not think it would be possible for me to own a Home at this time but was curious to see where I was... Then we met Kaelen. From the beginning she was positive about everything, and assured me that she would get me in "the house of my dreams". I gave her my info and she was off too work. Kaelen and her team are some of the hardest working and detail oriented group I've ever met. Kaelen made the process so easy for me, with all her hard work all I had to do was follow her blu print, while all along making us feel like apart of her family and not just another "notch" on her belt!!! I truly believe if I had went to anyone else I wouldn't be in the home I am in today and I am truly grateful for her and her team!!! Kaelen is "Amazing" at her job!!! read more
