There's a reason Angelo and his team have 160 five star reviews (and counting). We worked with Angelo to find a SFH with some pretty specific requirements. Once we met him, we knew he'd be the perfect agent for our search given his decades of experience working in the Bay Area markets we were targeting. The best part of the whole experience is for us is that Angelo stayed in constant contact and was proactive with finding properties that met our somewhat strict requirements. Every day he would proactively send us new listings as soon as they came on the MLS, and he was instrumental in helping us write competitive offers on the few homes that we liked. In the end, with Angelo's guidance, we were able to beat out several other competing buyers to secure a home that checked all our boxes and was by far the nicest we'd come across in our months of searching. We feel incredibly lucky to have had him on our side from day 1 to the day we got the keys. I would (and will be) recommending to literally anyone who's looking to buy or sell property in the Bay to reach out to Angelo and his team first! read more

Angelo helped me sell my home in 2025. I feel like he really understood my goals and advocated them to the buyer and buyer's agent. He was dedicated to making sure I got the price that I wanted, and also stayed realistic to the market conditions at the time. Angelo is personable and incredibly hard working, and answered all my questions with great depth and detail. He was always available to talk on the phone which I greatly needed as a first time homebuyer. I never felt pressured to sell if I was uncomfortable with the offer. I would highly recommend Angelo to anyone looking to sell their home! read more

I'm adding another review, as Angelo recently sold our home and helped us buy another in 3.5 months! Even in a very difficult market he recommended reasonably-priced updates to prep our home and marketed it in a way that allowed to get $150K over asking in under 30 days. His real estate skill set is unparalleled, and he's such a nice, gracious, calm person. Even in very high-pressured situations (buying and selling can feel very high stakes at times), he asks the right questions and specializes in handling difficult personalities with grace. His focus was always on helping us close as efficiently as possible over making a point that someone had made an error. He is just the kindest, most charming person and his whole team is the same. They are the best of the best! My family and I will be forever grateful. read more

Angelo is my dream realtor. He is an expert in his field and responds timely and thoroughly to all questions. But what makes him outstanding for me is the way he responded to all my anxieties about the sale process. He always had the patience, understanding and knowledge to calm my many fears as a first time seller. And he willingly handled all the complex and unusual situations which developed because I sold my house after moving to France. He is a completely trustworthy and nice person and I highly recommend him. Janice G. read more

Angelo went above and beyond in every possible way when I sold my house. He was pleasant and communicative and made sure that I was happy at every step. He coordinated everything from soup to nuts, and he did it quickly, got a good price for me, and was constantly updating me on where things were, and answering any questions I had. From the first time we were in touch to the closing date, and even beyond, everything was well run and he was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him. read more

I cannot thank Angelo enough for helping me through my first home-buying experience! He was very patient answering all my questions, and did a great job explaining everything and making sure I understood. I've learned so much during this process, and had a very pleasant experience throughout. And best of all, I was able to buy a home I love! Thank you, Angelo! read more

We found Angelo after inquiring about a listing and he was so helpful right from the jump. He introduced us to our wonderful lender (ask for Dominic @ Summit!), gave us realistic estimates on houses that would close outside of our price range, and was a reassuring presence throughout the entire process. Being in sales myself, one of the things I liked the most about Angelo was how timely his responses were. We mostly communicated by email and almost without fail, no matter what time of day, he would respond within 30 minutes to any questions we had and usually much sooner. And as first-time homebuyers, we had lots and lots of questions! Couldn't recommend him more. Thanks again, Angelo! read more

Angelo Raymundo - Compass - Getting our keys (at U-haul bc sellers were still occupying!) - Real Estate Agents Near Me - Oakland, California

Hello Yelpers, My wife and I shopped around for a realtor on Yelp to help us find our first home and found Angelo. We didn't know anything about the home buying process. He met with us in person (this was pre-covid) and explained everything in great detail. He pointed us in the right direction to start with, always made sure we were on top of what we needed and carried us through the finish line (post-covid). He is very responsive and helped us negotiate great credits. Don't delay, call today. This message brought to you by two very happy homeowners, -- Tareq and Emily read more

One more glowing endorsement for Angelo Raymundo! He has now sold a second home for us in Oakland and helped us buy our third. Even during the pandemic craziness he went above and beyond to meet us at homes to tour anytime we needed and anywhere we wanted to look. He is your constant cheerleader with the patience of a saint. He also has the best recommendations for mortgage agents, inspectors, etc. which have served us well. I highly recommend Angelo to anyone looking to buy or sell. read more

I am a trustee of a living trust for a dear friend. I needed to sell my dear friend's condo to pay for his assisted care costs. I chose Angelo Raymundo at Compas in Oakland as my realtor. I could not be happier. The customer service that I received from Angelo Raymundo was of such high quality that I feel compelled to write this recommendation for such outstanding service. I developed significant difficulty processing through this sale. Angelo Raymundo led and guided me and managed to complete the sale of the condo. All the while he displayed a high level of technical competence, knowledge of required procedures, and problem-solving creativity. He always kept me informed and was immediately responsive to my phone calls. I am a very happy customer. Beatrice Doyle read more

I can think of no higher endorsement for Angelo than the fact that we originally bought our house with him years ago, and given how much we enjoyed our experience, just sold our house with him as well. And we did so in the midst of this pandemic from across the country! Angelo is a superstar and anyone would be so lucky to work with him. I would recommend his services to anyone!! We feel great about how amazing he was in arranging for the house to be in its best shape, how supported we felt through the whole selling process and ultimately our sale price as well. read more

Happened across Angelo on Yelp and so glad that I did! Had a great experience working with Angelo and his partner Shawna. Angelo is such a wonderful person to work with. He represented me and my spouse 10 years ago when we were buying our first house. We recently reached out to him again to help us sell a family property after my dad passed away. He made the process so stress-free which was such a gift, considering all that our family was going through. Angelo is responsive, thorough, reliable, and kind. He helped us strategize which repairs and renovations to prioritize in order to get the property ready for the market. With Angelo guiding each step of the process, we were able to sell a house that needed a lot of maintenance with multiple offers above asking price. Angelo really goes above and beyond to make the whole process of buying or selling a house as smooth as possible. Thank you, Angelo! read more

I'm not going to lie. I LOATHE Real Estate Agents. We all have 20 friends who are RE agents in the Bay. We read their FB posts, we see their sponsored ads on NextDoor and EVERYONE and their dog tells you they can sell your house. Well of course they can - it's the Bay Area where everyone is hungry for a house! This is my 2nd property I've ever owned (Oakland) with a condo in Campbell being my 1st and I sold it in 2009 after the market crashed. When I sold my Campbell condo, I met with about 2-3 REA and they told me they could sell it, HOWEVER.... all of my proceeds would go into their pocket (which was about $35k) and leave me penniless. I was astounded! I told them I would sell it myself and lo and behold - I DID... on Craigslist... and I was able to pocket that $35k! Now fast forward to 10 years later in a crazy market... I called Angelo and a couple of others who had different percentage rates. I originally went with Redfin because of their 1% fees and I wasn't in any particular rush because it wasn't Spring season yet and it was still pouring cats and dogs and I had a plan in place.... if I didn't like Redfin, I would fire them. Well, 40+ days on the market and my agent was proving he was losing steam! I FIRED HIM. I then called Angelo to take over. He was at the highest commish paid, but now I can compare ORANGES to APPLES and let me tell you, I should probably start calling Angelo "Orangelo" because he is THAT different and AMAZING! LOL! I am not the one who crosses my t's and dots my i's and to be honest, I overlook a lot of things (esp in contract). I've had a couple of pages sent back to me because Angelo noticed I did it wrong. hahahah. Don't ask me how I still have a day job for overlooking stuff... lol. Angelo answers all my questions in a fast, efficient manner (except one time I could not get in touch with him when he was in a meeting). But other than that, he has been responsive, which was my #1 reason for picking him. Orangelo was perfect in helping me (and calming me) during my house sell, which was suppose to take 21 days but winded up being OVER 30 days (insert panic attacks here). Luckily, everything went well with the buyers' lender and there was in fact, no reason to freak out at all on my end. I sold my house at THE TOP my price range! I think it surprised Orangelo too and everyone walked away happy. If you are going to consider Redfin, don't do it... I had 2 offers with Redfin who went in at asking AND my agent wasn't as available as I wanted him to be. Angelo got me $50k more. Not sure if it was luck, but I am sure it was because he has a great reputation and great experience as a real estate agent in Oakland!!!! Thank you Angelo! And sorry for the long post! If you've come this far, thank you for reading! read more

Angelo listed my rental property in SSF and sold it at a price way beyond my expectations in 1 week. He gave me all kinds of ideas to make the property very attractive. I am amazed about his way of handling all the necessary tasks. He is precise, very knowledgeable, gives great advice on everything I asked him and explains it in great detail and different scenarios. He's a true professional and more. He is a pleasure to work with. Everything was perfect from start to finish. I didn't know there's such an agent that exists! It was a 1031 Exchange and he referred me to a good company. To top it off, we just had an offer accepted for the replacement property which he also handled smoothly. They chose our offer because of Angelo's expertise on writing offers and negotiating skills. He's got the golden touch and smarts. Angelo is seriously the best. We loved working with him. He helped my husband and me buy our first home in the incredibly hot market of Berkeley in 2016. Then he helped us sell our home in late spring of 2021. When we came to him in 2016, we had no idea what we were doing or how to navigate the Bay real estate market. He helped us find a really trustworthy person to get our financing. He walked us through the possibilities of where we could live on our smallish (by Bay Area standards) budget. Then he helped us consider different options and begin putting in offers. After a failed bid, there was a weekend with a whole bunch of nice small homes on the market in Berkeley. When we went to see homes and told them Angelo was our realtor, the other realtors would literally say things like, "We LOVE Angelo!" Somehow we found the home of our dreams on a rainy weekend. Then Angelo walked us through what ended up being a slightly complicated buying process, and also our total freakout when we got it at the same moment one of us lost our job. We were still able to get out home and ended up being super happy with our home. We were lucky that because it was in a great location that we really enjoyed and it appreciated really well in value over time. When we went to sell our home, it was a tough moment because it was still in the pandemic, we were in the process of moving with a young child so our home was upside down, ect. Angelo was so kind and enthusiastic, and gave us excellent advice on upgrades to make within our budget. He also helped us find professional and trustworthy gardeners, painters and stagers, ect. Ultimately, he showed the house and helped us sell it when we were out of state - we had already moved. To reiterate, he did a brilliant job selling it without us even being in California! It was a super hard move to make and having someone as professional, kind, genuine and trustworthy as Angelo made it all go so smoothly. And luckily, all that work helped it sell for a terrific price. We couldn't be more grateful to have worked with Angelo. We call him a friend, and if you get to work with him I am sure you will feel super lucky to have him on your team! read more

My partner and I just closed on our first home and highly recommend Angelo! If you are new to homebuying in Oakland, and/or have been searching and haven't been successful, Angelo is the person to call. We found the property and our offer was accepted within three weeks of our initial meeting, winning over an "all cash" buyer. We are so pleased with Angelo's experience and obvious rapport in the real estate & lending community, not to mention his skill at listening to what we both wanted from a home, providing insight regarding neighborhoods we hadn't explored, and encouraging us to also check out single family homes. In the end, we were still able to find a duplex-style home, in a lovely neighborhood, and at a competitive price. I appreciated Angelo's communication style and balance, even during times when all parties were uncertain about how to proceed. Although the purchase ended up having a few delays due to an unforeseen probate situation, Angelo was a steadfast resource and helped us navigate what could have easily become difficult communications with the seller, lawyers and courts affected by COVID-19/shelter in place orders. Angelo is also fun to be around, brings out the best in others, makes you feel like you are his only client, and provides all sorts of recommendations from restaurants to trusted contractors. Even our pet likes Angelo and, though they are a bit shy, would confidently come out to investigate whenever Angelo was on video chat. We definitely consider him to be part of our Oakland family! Good person, loads of integrity, enjoys his profession, excels at it, leaves things better than he found them. read more

Angelo is the best! He helped us navigate the tricky Bay Area housing market and found us the best home! He is super responsive, has years of experience in the area with all kinds if property, and has even done some of his own home renovations so gave us some great insight when we had questions about how "quick" certain renovations would be On top of all this, he's a lovely human and a real pleasure to work with. read more

We worked with Angelo to purchase our home in February 2019. We couldn't imagine a better experience as first time home buyers and are confident that without him, we wouldn't have closed on a home we love as much as we do. Throughout our home buying journey, Angelo struck a perfect balance of actively listening to what we were looking for while providing his wisdom and point of view when it was helpful. He was always available for questions or to respond to concerns. When it was urgent, we would text and he'd be open to chatting within minutes. When it was less urgent, we would email and still get a swift response. Angelo made us feel like we were his only clients. While other agents might also showcase a high level of professionalism and draw from vast knowledge of the East Bay real estate market the way Angelo does, there are many examples specific to our experience that reinforce why he is one of a kind. Here are just a handful: - We brought our 1 year old son to our first meeting with Angelo. Angelo was so patient with us during our meeting, despite constant interruptions from our little one. It didn't faze him one bit. - While we were initially focused on resale homes, we pivoted at one point and wanted to focus on new home construction. Angelo listened to our rationale and supported our efforts. He accompanied us as we toured new home communities, lending guidance along the way. - He never missed an opportunity to show up and support us in person, including our inspection, signing closing papers, the final walk through, etc. And, we could always count on him to work around and accommodate our schedules for these appointments. - To celebrate our purchase, in addition to a celebratory gift for us he also provided a very thoughtful gift for our son. - Even after we officially closed, Angelo has made himself available for questions as we navigated new home ownership whether it was to provide recommendations for general contractors or refinance advice. For these and many other reasons, Angelo will be our first call the next time we look to buy or sell in the Bay Area. read more

My partner & I cannot recommend Angelo enough. We just closed on our first home & Angelo was there every step of the way. We had a tremendous amount to learn along the way, but Angelo remained patient throughout the process. If you want to work with someone who is honest, has great communication and keeps your best interest in mind, Angelo is the agent to work with. Lastly, his negotiation skills were put to the test when he there were 13 total offers on the property we landed on. Angelo prevailed & we are so grateful to have had him represent us. read more

This review is for the second and third time we used Angelo - in the first half of 2021. Needless to say we love him, and wouldn't consider using anyone else. Angelo is the BEST! Hands down. My wife and I were looking for a home and friends of ours recommended Angelo. From our initial Zoom meeting touch base through closing Angelo took the time to cover buying a home from A-Z. He was constantly with us, scheduling viewing after viewing, helping us understand disclosure reports and the market so we could make the best educated offer. Angelo took calls at all times of the day, reacted quickly in the fast bay area market, and worked with the selling agent to make closing a breeze. I can't say enough good things about working with Angelo. Thank you for helping us get into our first home. We can't wait to have many happy years in our new home. read more

As first-time homebuyers without guidance, it was important to have the right people on our team, but who could help us through this kind of life decision? Angelo! My partner and I were looking for a real estate agent who was knowledgeable, patient, and clear. We needed someone who we could ask questions throughout the process. We met several wonderful real estate agents in the East Bay Area, but Angelo's wealth of knowledge combined with a calm, focused energy made him the perfect fit for us. From day one, Angelo was patient and responsive. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the housing market and provided the information and the encouragement that we needed. We did not expect to find a house until at least 2022, but when we did find a place 6 months earlier than we thought, we had less than two days to put together an offer. Even with this tight deadline, Angelo helped put together a competitive offer. Throughout the homebuying process, Angelo kept us up-to-date, was honest, and had our best interest in mind. Angelo was proactive in communicating with the listing agent and seller. We believe his approach helped us be the offer the seller accepted. Angelo helped my partner and I get our first home on the first offer within our budget all in a market that was intensely competitive. Even after completing the process, Angelo remained available and willing to answer questions many new homeowners have. If you are looking for a knowledgeable real estate agent who can help you retain some sanity in this insane market, reach out to Angelo. We cannot recommend Angelo highly enough. read more

As a first time homebuyer, one of the first things I did early on in my home buying process was to search for a realtor who was knowledgeable, professional, and had a solid track record. Not only did I find all those things in Angelo, I also found a truly patient, understanding, and caring individual who I immediately felt extremely comfortable and connected with. I found Angelo on Yelp back in September and decided to give him a call to get a feel for him and ask him some general questions even before starting the pre-approval process. After a brief 10 minute call, I knew he was the one I wanted to work with. Fast forward 1 month later after having pre-approval in hand, I gave him a call and he remembered everything and we immediately picked up right where we left off. Within 2 short weeks, I was in contract and in another 3 weeks, I was moving into my new home! It was an absolute joy working with Angelo. Knowing I had him to rely on really gave me piece of mind and I knew I was in good hands. At times when I was unsure, stressed, or just needed advice, he was always there for me, was reassuring, and put me at ease with everything. He made this whole journey seamless and easy. Angelo is someone I can now call a friend. Someone I will refer all my friends and family to because I know he'll take care of them as much as he took care of me. He's truly a special individual who was put on this earth to do what he does. If you're reading this, your search is over. You won't regret it! read more

My partner and I used Angelo's services to start our real estate business and were lucky to have him as our personal advocate and consultant. Our 2006 purchase was our first multi unit real estate investment, so we were a little wary and concerned about the market and a bit insecure of our ability to make it work. Angelo guided us diplomatically away from some properties and listened patiently to my goals and 'must haves'. (There were times when I thought I must be driving him crazy, but he never lost his professional cool :) and always had the RIGHT advice. ) He is, and continues to be, a big part of our investment success as it was he who said "This is it!", with a twinkle in his eye, as I trudged up the stairs. Cloaked in gray and dirt, with a condemned building attached, it appeared to be an ugly and unloved apartment complex. Well, he was right! The interiors held amazing opportunities and the exterior needed a little love and some decent landscaping to come alive. We scooped this baby up within a week and have not had one moment of doubt since the papers were signed. So where are we now in 2008? Our property is worth 30% more than what we paid for it, even in a declining market! In addition, we've recommended Angelo's services to a number of friends who've been happy AND SUCCESSFUL even these difficult times. I will continue to encourage my friends to use him and we will be calling him sometime in 2009 to make our second investment purchase. You can't go wrong with trusting Angelo. He understands that your financial success and happiness is the top priority and will do his best to make sure you are safely and easily moved into your new property. read more

Angelo is simply amazing. Being first-time home buyers we naively thought online tools alone would help us navigate home buying on our own, until we met Angelo. He was referred to us through a good friend, and was our guiding light throughout the experience. During our first meeting we talked about our interests and expectations and he gave us great insights. Angelo did an amazing job making himself available to us, and provided realistic feedback and knowledge of the industry. When an unforeseen event caused my husband and I to need to pause for 6 months, Angelo let us come back in our own time and immediately picked up where we left off. Shopping for a new home is stressful, but Angelo made it easy for us. He answered all of our questions, even when communications had to happen at odd hours, and later in the evening. He was patient, understanding, and extremely knowledgeable. While stopping by open houses, everyone we spoke to spoke very highly of Angelo as well, which gave us confidence that we chose the best agent. I first hired another agent that was highly rated on Yelp and I wasn't all that impressed. He kept telling me that you had to overbid by ridiculous percentages in order to win a house in the East Bay. I was constantly feeling rushed when I talked to him and as though he had other tasks he wanted to get to, rather than answering my questions. After a few failed bids, each one a more frustrating experience than the one before, I found Angelo on Yelp. I read through the reviews and knew that this was the kind of professional I would really enjoy working with. We met up and a couple months later, Angelo had us moving into our new house. He found a private sale opportunity and we paid just a little more than asking price for the home. Two years later, Angelo helped us find our dream house. He helped us buy that house (at a significant discount from asking price and well below the appraised amount) and he resold the first house he helped us buy for more than 25% more than we had paid a couple years earlier. The service and commitment Angelo brings to buying and selling a house is simply a different level than most other agents. He made it all so incredibly easy, and his attitude was "whatever it takes" in every phase of the transaction. For instance, when we resold the house he sold us, he arranged the painting of the house, the staging of the house and took care of absolutely everything. He saved us so much time by leveraging his rolodex of amazing partners at each and every step. Just meet him for 15 minutes and you will feel the warmth, caring, intelligence and strategic approach to everything he does. I can't imagine recommending someone with less hesitation. read more

Believe all of the 5-star reviews--Angelo is awesome! As first time home buyers in the Bay Area, the thought of house hunting seemed so daunting but having Angelo made the process more streamlined. It was definitely a no-pressure situation; he wasn't pushy or aggressive at all, which you can find with some realtors. Angelo is a SUPERSTAR!! He turned my dream of owning a home in the Bay Area into a reality, which is extremely difficult as an FHA home buyer with only 3.5% down in this competitive market. How did he do it? Angelo is professional, knows his business, follows through and treats you like a million bucks. I'm a first time home buyer so this home buying business is very very scary for me. I'm 25 years old, unmarried and not originally from Oakland, so I relied heavily on Angelo to guide me through the home buying process and get me the home I've been wanting in an area that was safe and highly desired. Trust me, I sent Angelo plenty of listings that I was interested, and I am so thankful Angelo was honest in his opinions about the areas I was looking at. After only 2 months, yes 2 MONTHS! I found a home (which is now mine), that I was interested in and Angelo gave me the green light to go for it. The transaction between us and the seller was a roller coaster ride. We were running into dead ends, and at one point I even signed off on cancelling escrow. With Angelo's persistence, negotiation skills and dedication to his work, I GOT THE HOME!
