Alma is amazing. My partner and I jumped into the home buying process and quickly found that we didn't have a clue what we were doing. It seemed like all was lost, but then we found Alma! :) Alma is professional, knowledgeable, honest, and hilarious. She was thorough, realistic, and listened to our needs every step of the way even as we were figuring out what exactly our needs were. To say the Bay Area market is difficult is an understatement, but Alma used her expertise to help us find our home. The patience, persistence, and positivity all paid off! It honestly still feels like having our offer accepted was like winning the lottery, and we couldn't have done it without Alma. We're now living in a beautiful home that meets our needs in a neighborhood we love. Alma is the best. read more

Buying your first home can be challenging. Buying your first home in the Bay Area, especially now, can feel nearly impossible. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have the right realtor in your corner. We met Alma through a mutual friend after spending several months struggling to find our new home. At that point, we weren't sure if we even wanted to continue our search anymore, having felt the pressure of the competitive market and a general lack of communication from our previous realtor. Alma was exactly what we needed: a knowledgable and supportive partner in the house-buying process. She was helpful and patient as we texted and called, answering our every question and providing useful insights at each stage of the process. When we fell in love with a home that ended up receiving more than 10 other offers, Alma advised us on what she believed would be the best course of action -- and our offer was accepted! If you're feeling at all like I was, overwhelmed or uncertain in the hunt to find a house, reach out to Alma. She's absolutely the person you need to help you find your new home. read more

Alma Wallace - eXp - Thanks for helping us buy our first home, Alma! - Real Estate Agents Near Me - Oakland, California

Alma Wallace exemplifies excellent customer. A is for attention to detail. L is for being likable. M is for managing expectations. A is for always being available to answer questions. My husband and I are first time homebuyers. We actually met Alma right before the pandemic hit. She made quite the impression and I saved her contact details. Fast forward 3 plus years later I contacted her when we were ready to buy! She responded to my email almost immediately and this was on a Sunday evening! In less than a month we made it happen. We saw several houses with her on a Saturday. She gave us many tips and pointers on what to look for in a house. She left us to attend an open house and we stumbled upon our dream home by accident. I texted Alma as soon as I walked out of the open house and she took over from there. The next day she made an offer on our behalf and even countered offer for us. It was accepted! We closed escrow 2 weeks later! She is top notch and referred us to our lender and walked us through the entire process. We got a crash course in buying a home in 3 weeks. Prior to that, we were completely clueless. She is patient and always answered my bazillion questions. The home inspector was awesome too. And the lender, well what can I say? Everyone was fantastic!!!! Team work makes the dream work. Reach out to Alma and she will definitely steer you in the right direction. Thank you, Alma! read more

Alma was great! We originally had problems selling our house, and decided to try relisting with her. We had actually moved from Oakland already, and we were able to get everything done online and over the phone. She held several open houses for us, and was able to keep us apprised of everything going on including researching some of the other houses that were for sale in the neighborhood at the same time. She also knew some specific things about our neighborhood in Oakland that only a local agent would know. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking to buy or sell a house in the bay area. read more

We had been debating selling our condo in the Bay Area for a while (we now live in LA) and reached out to Alma for advice and guidance on market conditions. After our tenant moved out and we weren't able to find a suitable replacement tenant, we made the tough decision to sell our first home to buy one down here instead. We reached out to Alma right away as she had kept an eye out for us on how things were developing in the market, esp. with COVID, etc. We'd also been following her real estate journey on social media :) Alma is extremely knowledgable and experienced in Bay Area real estate and she guided us through the entire process, from setting the right asking price to making sure that we were prepared logistically from all angles for a smooth sale. Alma also did fabulous marketing for our property, from a video highlight to social media posts and virtual staging. The video and pictures were excellent quality and really showed all the beauty of our home. After 12 days on the market, we received an all-cash offer above asking with no contingencies and a 7 day close. We were absolutely thrilled that Alma helped to find the right buyer for our home, as it was a sentimental property to us. Alma helped to ensure that we had a smooth close and everyone was very happy with the home sale. We're so thankful that we were able to work with Alma as our agent to sell our home. Her experience, knowledge, drive and personableness makes her the best agent for us to have worked with for our home sale. We highly recommend working with Alma if you are looking to buy or sell in the Bay Area! read more

We were so nervous with how wild this market is right now but Alma reassured us she will do everything she could to get us top dollar for our home and she did! I don't know much about real estate so if I ever had a question, she answered in detail so I understood. She is beyond knowledgeable in her field and gets stuff done. Alma was the best realtor I could have possibly asked for. I worked with her for about three months and, from the very beginning, it was clear how knowledgeable she was and how much of an asset she would be in helping me buy my first home. She was an amazing guide in this process, answering my many questions (and guiding me when I did not know what questions I should be asking). Through it all, Alma empowered me to make the best decisions for me. Alma was also a pleasure to work with- she is patient, kind and made the process of house hunting fun. I would definitely work with her again and cannot recommend her enough. Even after closing, she has continued to be an amazing resource. read more

We were referred to Alma by a colleague and loved our experience working with Alma to find our first home. We decided to start house hunting in a very competitive market at a time when inventory was extremely low. Alma was so positive and committed throughout the whole experience that we almost forgot just how competitive the market was. We won the bid on the house we wanted and then immediately left on a previously planned vacation during closing. She graciously managed the details and kept us updated as we went along the 3-week process. While we don't plan to sell anytime soon because we found our dream house, if we do we will work with Alma. We will also recommend to any friends or colleagues who are looking to buy or sell. read more

Alma Wallace is an amazingly professional and personable real estate agent that I would recommend to anyone. While I have actually known Alma going back to our time as friends in high school, the choice to go with Alma as my agent when I decided to look for a house was a no-brainer. She spent countless hours with me, understanding my housing needs, my desired neighborhoods and locations in the Bay Area, and my preferences for size, design, affordability, and a yard for my puppy. While we looked at a number of homes over the course of about 6 weeks, we finally found one that checked all of my boxes, and that I could reasonably compete for. With Alma's guidance, I ended up beating out several other interested parties and having my offer accepted! Additionally, with Alma's contacts in the mortgage-lending and homeowner's insurance fields, I quickly got preapproved for my home loan, got insurance in a timely manner, and closed on the house with no issues in a total of 3 weeks! She also has contacts in the home improvement field, and I am now already in contract to start a small bathroom remodel to both improve the functionality of my new home and help with the resale value if I decide to sell in the future. I couldn't have been happier with the service, support, and guidance Alma provided over the last few months working with her professionally. I trusted her before as a friend and I trust her even more now that she helped me through this whole process. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to purchase or sell a home. I was recommended to Alma by a friend for my first home buying experience, and I could not recommend her enough. She is an amazing resource for any home buyer and especially for me, as I was both new to the Bay Area and completely unfamiliar with how to purchase a home. She is incredibly knowledgeable about all the different neighborhoods in the Bay Area and explained every step clearly and patiently. She also has a wealth of knowledge regarding home renovation and it helped us understand our comfort level with pricing and alterations. I was very impressed with her diligence and work ethic, as she was so quick to set up tours, respond to questions, and provide information - after touring houses with us all weekend. It felt like we were her only client, which was definitelyyy not the case especially during this crazy market. :) We ended up purchasing in San Diego because of job changes but even when we switched cities and realtors (recommended by Alma), Alma was STILL helping us with negotiating our close and estimating renovation costs! It would be an understatement to say she goes above and beyond for anyone fortunate enough to work with her. Highly recommend! read more

Alma met us where we were at during the home buying process. My family and I had a must-have check list for us to go all in on a house. Alma showed us many options but the stars just didn't align for a while. There was something missing or we were just priced out. Alma was patient and stuck with us through the emotional roller coaster. After many months of looking (perhaps seeing over 60 homes) we finally landed on our dream home in our desired neighborhood and it checked off all of needs! She was very responsive and professional. We're grateful for her guidance. read more

As first time home buyers, it can be daunting and stressful to start looking at homes - especially in a market as crazy as San Francisco. Alma made the entire process surprisingly painless. Alma and my husband talked online to give her a better idea of what we were looking for. She showed us several properties, taking into consideration our opinions and handling every property with patience and an interest in our feedback. We ended up falling in love with a place the week before our wedding. Alma kept us updated on the property and competition the entire time, and even worked through the night the night before our wedding to make sure it didn't slip through our fingers. She provided thoughtful recommendations and fought for what we wanted - even when the sellers were pushing for more. We felt well taken care of throughout the entire process. Communication was excellent, and we're loving our new home. We'd recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone in the Bay Area looking. read more

With Alma, the only part of the process that mattered was that my family felt comfortable. When we eventually found our dream home and pounced on it, Alma did an amazing job of writing up the contract and ensuring that we were clear on all details. Our offer was accepted at 910 and Alma was able to miraculously get our sale price down to 880. Alma was incredible during the sale of our rental property. The previous tenant left it a mess. There was garbage everywhere and they had put holes in the walls. She even went and knocked on the doors of all the neighbors! We got multiple offers above asking in less than two weeks! Thank you Alma! read more

Alma was not only thorough but totally aware of the logistical and emotional aspects of house hunting. She paid great attention to detail and made an extra effort to make us feel positive and supported during what could have been an extremely stressful process. The first house we bid on accepted our offer. Which is very rare. The terms and timeline required such a sharp eye and she handled it seamlessly. We went with a cosmetic fixer up in a location that was ideal for us. One of us is a carpenter so having an agent that knew nothing about home construction would not work for us. We committed our home search to Alma over other agents because with every house we viewed she was able to visually assess what needed work and give a general price quote, along with referrals to get the work done. She was thoughtful and brought bubbles for our four year old, which kept him occupied so we could check out basements and crawl spaces. She researched neighborhoods and came w lists of family activities close by. She was motivated, frank and poised through the whole process. We would recommend her to anyone in the market to buy or sell. When/if we sell our home we wouldn't hesitate to ask her to represent us again. She is indeed a rare find. read more
