I went to get a smog here. The Smog Tech's name was "George" (a male Hispanic in his 50's,…read moreheavyset, white mustache, and goatee). As I was waiting for my vehicle, I observed George open my vehicle door and hit a metal stand. As I went to check for any damages, George became incensed and rudely told me to just stand there and watch him to make sure he did not damage my vehicle. I attempted to explain to him that it wasn't anything personal; however, I had the right to check my vehicle for any damages (dents and scratches). George repeated himself and told me to stand behind my car to observe him to make sure he did not incur any damages to my vehicle. I am a customer trying to get a vehicle smog. I agreed to the $88.00 smog; however, I did not agree to being treated so rudely. To make matters worse, he told me to "get out!" And then he told me to "Make like a tree and leave" (wow, that was original). "George" recorded me on his cellphone of my departure. I have done nothing wrong, I understand businesses have the right to refuse service; however, it is perplexing to think that an employee of this business is allowed to treat customers so rudely then tell them to "get out!"? It's OK, I will never patronize this business. It's obvious that "George" has done this to other customers because he doesn't understand basic customer service because of his perceived slight and lack of communication skills. His actions will have a detrimental effect on revenue. I will have my car washed and check my door for any damages. Besides being a bit pricey for a smog check, unfortunately, this business is unprofessional due to an employee named: "George" who thinks it's OK to be rude to customers because he possesses no interpersonal skills of communication.

When it was my turn, he quickly got my info, and key and took care of the testing. He was quick and efficient. I had no issues. The price was reasonable, I expected it to be more actually. So that was a nice surprise. Amaru was pleasant. And I would definitely recommend this business.

When I politely asked about it during my return visit, the employee (different from the first time) was immediately rude. I was trying to explain myself calmly and even said "let me explain better" since English is not my first language. Instead of helping, he gave a very hard, mocking laugh, acted like he couldn't understand me, and then started yelling. It felt disrespectful and humiliating. I was calm and respectful the entire time, so the reaction felt completely unnecessary. I also saw other reviews mentioning rude behavior from staff, and others saying they were refused the $39 discount advertised online. At first I ignored those reviews, but now I understand what people meant. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional, and basic customer respect was missing.

Convenient driveway and drive through to next street so easy and intuitive to exit. Clean inside and instructions: put dmv paperwork on dash, turn off car, pull up to line... This little detail makes things work faster. People know what to do when they enter. Fast smog. Don't remember the price - I try not to fixate on money - not that that is a good habit or bad habit - I just don't like to let money be the #1 factor that dictates my every move from day to day. Took my Civic there I think. I'm not even sure to tell you the truth - I own more than one vehicle. The lady there quickly told me the car was ready (that all the I/m monitors were green). Very impressed with even how quick she found the port under the dash. Don't think i ever used it - it is a Honda after all. I stepped outside and immediately next door was a cat cafe. Took a few more steps and found little Rowan pawing at the glass saying hi to me. I later visited with a friend a few days later. He is very sweet and very popular. This is likely the cheapest place to get a smog - I just happened to be driving by. Whenever I think of people chasing coupons or the best deals I think back to this tv show where this friend waves around a bit of cash to 'dare' somebody to do something. My civic is probably the cheapest transportation and the last of the best Hondas without direct injection, a turbo or a cvt transmission. Others buy it bc its cheap - i did becuase of respect for something that can go 600k miles without major work. A respectable car. I feel like a puppet in a puppet show if I lean into following money too much. Buy stuff or go places becuase it is cheap or do so becuase you like it. Up to you.

The shop owner is outstanding: friendly, professional, courteous, and incredibly efficient, especially for a one-man operation. However, a major word of caution for manual transmission owners: The owner rode my clutch excessively when moving the car in and out of the shop and while getting up to speed for the dyno stages. I could hear my clutch protesting with every shift. While the customer service was excellent, and the price was fair, I cannot bring myself to return with a manual transmission car.
