    Drive thru Mediterranean food!
    Diane R.

They just opened 10 days ago. Since it was our first time they gave us a free Baklava. Friendly service and asked if we wanted extra tzatziki sauce. We said yes please! We ordered the original gyro and butter chicken gyro. One was a combo with falafel as an option instead of fries along with a drink. We only went to the drive in so don't know what the ambiance inside is like. The Butter chicken was very flavorful and messy. They added some fries which enhanced the texture. The gyro was also tasty. The falafel was a little dry so I might get the fries next time. Our free baklava was also tasty. We will return!

The food here is delicious! We tried several items which included the Kings Bowl, Aladdin's loaded fries, butter chicken quesadilla, and original gyro with lamb/beef. Nothing disappointed! Would definitely order again!

I was really surprised with my lamb wrap it was very large for the price. My husband got the king bowl and he said it was delicious. The place is cute and clean and the service was good. If you like mediterranean food, this is the place to go... I wish the baklava I was a little bit fresher, but it was late in the day.

I love this place because I am a lazy person. It's a drive thru and the food is great. It's like the best of both worlds. I am so surprised that it's not as busy as what I would expect to be knowing how good the food is. I ordered the regular combo with fries and a king combo with rice for my boyfriend. We both got lamb in our combos. There is red sauce on the combos but its not spicy at all. We enjoy eating here because it gets you full and it's fresh. Although its a drive though, expect to wait about ten minutes for your food. I definitely think it's worth the wait though! Just because of how convenient and cheap this place it

I drive by this place everyday, if my family ever asks if we can go there the answer will always be yes. It is SO good. Got the chicken gyro and loaded fries this time. Can't wait to try everything else. Friendly service. Great/fresh food. Drive thru. Happy to have a delish new place!

I do have one suggestion. I completely understand and appreciate the elevated vibe they're going for--it's part of what makes the place special. That said, I think there may be a bit of a missed opportunity with the bocce ball courts. There are large signs saying kids can't play on them and must stay with adults, but honestly, I come here at least once a quarter and they're often not being used. Given the location and the number of families in the area, it could be interesting to consider adding a small playground in the back. I know that might sound unconventional for a place like this, but I've seen restaurants do this successfully in Europe. What's really missing around here is a place where parents can enjoy an incredible meal and drinks while their kids have a safe place to play nearby. Right now, the only places that come close are breweries. There are almost always families here when I visit, so just a thought! Either way, Shangri-La remains one of my favorite spots.

When we walked into The Venetian Court Restaurant & Lounge, the place was empty, and I'll be honest, our expectations were pretty low. We couldn't have been more wrong. Our waitress, Megan, was simply amazing. We ordered the buffalo wings, Margherita flatbread, a Caesar salad with added salmon and chicken, a cheeseburger with bacon and avocado, a whiskey sour, and finished with the blueberry cheesecake. Every single item, from the wings to the salad to the cocktail and dessert, was absolutely phenomenal. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. The whiskey sour was perfectly balanced, and the blueberry cheesecake was the ideal way to end the meal. What started as a "why not?" dinner turned into a genuinely impressive dining experience. This place is a true hidden gem, and we'll absolutely be back. If you're staying nearby, or even just passing through, do yourself a favor and give it a try. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommended!

It's a small restaurant with the bartender doubling as server. We were warmly greeted by Mark upon entering and selected a table in the empty restaurant. We were handed our menus, and I was a bit surprised to find only 3 entrees: a beef burger, a chicken sandwich, and salmon. Well, they got the beef, poultry and fish options covered. I went with the Spicy Roasted Chicken Sandwich (fried is also an option), and my wife went with the Sweet Soy Salmon. To be honest, I set the bar pretty low based on what I was already seeing but both of our entrees were delicious and the portion size very good. Service was good throughout and the dining room was clean and comfortable. If I could make some suggestions, it would be to expand the menu and play some background music in the dining area. Not a bad choice if staying in the hotel and don't want to go out. Otherwise, there are more "lively" alternatives in the area.

We came around 4:30pm and there was a lot of seating available. The hostess was welcoming and our server Evelyn was great. She had a chill and pleasant attitude and was very efficient with our requests. Kitchen was quick to bring out my poke nachos, and our combo pizza and chicken wings came within 10 minutes. My husband had to send his lemonade back because it was carbonated, but they fixed it right away and it was perfect. The poke nachos was stacked high with crispy wonton chips and diced raw tuna with a spicy aioli sauce throughout. The buffalo chicken wings were sauced just right and still a little crispy. I heard the server tell another patron they can do bbq sauce or naked if you do not want buffalo sauce. The flatbread pizza wasn't as crispy on the bottom as I'd like (probably because of all the toppings) but the edges of the crust were good with a nice chew/crispy ratio. Overall, food was delicious, and at half off, definitely worth it, Since there were only a few patrons in the restaurant at the time, it was fairly quiet, but I've been when it's packed, loud, and lively. Iron Horse Tavern is always a good choice for lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and especially for Happy Hour!

First time visiting. Stopped in on a Thursday after seeing a play at Broadway Sacramento…read more We tried a wide variety of small plates to share. The fare is Mediterranean inspired in a classy mid-town vibe. THE PROS: Wonderful ambiance. Our server, Ferzan, was top notch, both with her service and suggestions. Upscale casual with lots of high end touches. Live jazz and some classic style harp music the evening we were there. We each had a cocktail, split about small plates, and did a dessert. There was not a bad dish in the bunch, but my wife and I agreed the stand-out was the Filet Mignon skewers. Delicious. Cooked perfectly with a wonderful parsley/onion garnish that made an amazing flavor combination. THE CONS: Only a few very minor things come to mind: The shrimp dish, while quite tasty, was a bit salty. A couple FYIs: The lighting, while it made for nice atmosphere, is a bit on the dim side for menu reading. Also, their fresh baked bread is wonderful, but it would be a real plus if it was complementary, because it really goes great with their food and dips. More is better. And to me this one's a head scratcher... in the dining room with moody lighting and classy music they had a big screen tv with ESPN on the whole time. To be fair, the sound was off, but if you were there to watch sports, they have a nice bar with two other screens in there. It was totally out of place in the main dining room. BOTTOM LINE: Yes. Absolutely Yes. It is great for date-night, or any other night when you want a comfortable high end dining experience. PRICE: Items range from about $20-$50 each. Our total was about $150
