Upon walking in, I was very pleased with the brightness and cleanliness of the store. Lots of big windows facing Sunrise; vases with plastic flowers. As a very senior person (85) I wish that restaurants would be more considerate as to WHERE they place their menus when they don't use paper menus. It is difficult for those with balancing and other issues to have to look up and try to read print that is often small. I wanted a side but not fries. They had a number of delicious looking and sounding soups but none were offered in a side-priced range. It would be nice if they consider offering a half cup/cup option priced similar to the price of fries. I LOVE a good homemade soup and finding them in Sacramento is difficult. Service was adequate. A gentleman came in after I got my meal. He went to the kitchen area and so I assumed he was an owner. He saw me drinking from the bottle and brought me a cup and poured my drink into it. That made me feel seen and appreciated as a customer. The owner shared a piece of apple he was eating. I was the only person left in the restaurant. One of the ladies asked if I would like to try Armenian coffee. I agreed. It was a bit bitter but had some herbal notes and was delightful after a bit of sugar. As for the food: I had never had a wrap like this. I do not normally get wraps but I thought that seemed to be their specialty. The lamb was tender and there were many vegetables- cabbage, carrots, onions, etc and a tasty sauce to pull it all together. I liked the wrapper too. It was "sturdy" had a different taste that complimented the food. They offer water and cups but no fountain beverages. There are beverages in a cooler - some imported and some domestic sodas. Oh yes! The background music. It was BOSSA NOVA! Very unexpected but quite relaxing and unobtrusive. Nice touch. All-in-all. I'm glad I persisted and tried this place out. Corner Shawarma is a place that ultimately feels just average. With a name that literally has shawarma in it I was honestly hoping for something more focused and standout in that category. Unfortunately that expectation was not met. The shawarma itself is fine but unremarkable. The meats are acceptable and the sauces help carry some of the flavor but nothing truly stands out. For a restaurant so centered on shawarma I expected more depth seasoning and attention to what should be the star of the menu. At the prices they charge the taste simply does not justify the cost. What makes the experience more puzzling is how many high reviews this place receives. It is hard to understand the hype when the food feels so ordinary especially considering there are better shawarma options just blocks away that deliver stronger flavor and better value. Service is fine and the space is clean and straightforward but that alone does not elevate the meal. Overall Corner Shawarma feels more like a convenient stop than a destination. If you are nearby and hungry it will do but given the name and the pricing I was really hoping for outstanding shawarma and it just does not deliver. read more

Really good shawarma, honestly better then I expected. The meat was juicy and full of flavor, and the wrap was fresh and well put together. Portion was solid too, didn't feel cheap. It's right off a busy intersection, so it's easy to miss, but the bright lights in the evening definitely catch your eye. I went with my cousin around 5:30 on a Monday night. At first, it was just us, but people started trickling in, which gave it a nice vibe. I ordered the beef combo and ordered a side of fries for $5 more (don't know what the $1 fries add on is, I should've asked) and honestly, it hit the spot. The portions were just right, enough to satisfy without overdoing it. The beef and rice were flavorful, and the fresh veggie garnish made it better. I paid an extra buck for the corner sauce, which had a nice little kick to it. Definitely getting more of that next time! The staff were friendly. Good was good. I hoped there was more flavor but I would still recommend it. I got the donner fries which where a little bland and felt like it was missing something, originally wanted the kabobs but when I visited they where out. Clean, small, place across Costco in Rancho Cordova. Chicken shwarma is very good. Service is fast, definitely a place to return to.

Dropped in as our other options for the day were closed it was a happy little accident tho. The ladies who helped me and my little family were very kind. We got the chicken Shawarma , the lamb Doner , and the chicken doner fries . We got two sides of spicy sauce as well. The lamb was delicious and I'm very lucky personally as I typically can't stand the taste of it . So I was pleasantly surprised when it was tender and flavorful. The lamb doner was also covered in fresh herbs which I thought was a beautiful touch . The chicken Shawarma was really tasty. The vegetables inside sliced so thin , the whole thing was fresh , and delicious . It wasn't heavy on the body which was refreshing . No pictures this time as was also wrestling a toddler . Go see / taste for yourself ! They had a steady stream of customers when we were there which is always nice to see!! Excellent food. A ton of flavor packed into this lavash wrap. I opted for the regular beef shawarma. Which has the beef shawarma, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes and this wonderful tangy garlic sauce. I got mine spicy and it had a little kick, but not too much. They also have a larger version called the corner shawarma which has more meat and less veggies. But this one was big enough for me. Gotta try those shawarma fries next time! read more

Every time I see a mom and pop shop with minimal budget where the owner has thrown every thing they had to start a business specially a restaurant, I feel really bad. You can tell from the set up and the attitudes if the restaurant is going to be successful or not. Restaurant business is very difficult and requires a lot of knowledge and preparation. Unfortunately, by being skimpy on the amount of food or the presentation or even focusing the taste to a specific group of customers (Russians, Ukrainians and etc.) the business will not take off because it isn't sustainable to cover a limited number of customers. I truly wish them success, but from my perspective and the experience they won't last long. I give them two stars for trying. So, I had what I believe to be called the Shawarma box- with chicken. It was absolutely delicious. There was two types of finely shredded cabbage with a creamy white sauces an loads of savory chicken. I meant to sample a bite in the parking lot before heading back to work and ate the entire thing. Very disappointing experience! We started by asking if the chicken on the rotisserie was ready as it looked raw. The young lady said it needs 5 more minutes, maybe 7. We ordered the Doner fries with chicken shawarma, side order of falafel and a ham & cheese wrap. As we were paying the cook brings a bag of chicken from the bag and starts cooking it on the griddle. I asked if that's the chicken they are serving us and she said yes because the rotisserie chicken needs a couple of hours to cook. So she flat out lied to us. Then the food came and it all sucked. The falafel are these little balls that tasted like soap. Possibly frozen out of a bag. The sauce was not tahini yet a mayonnaise. The doner fries were literally covered in their sauce which is mayonnaise based and gross. No one asked us how we liked the food. The man that was there was in a bad mood and barking orders. This was on Saturday at noon and we were the only clients. When she brought our food I asked her how long they've been open and she said 6-7 months yet people don't know about them yet. Recommendations would be to bring in a chef to fix the recipes and post on social media as it's free! read more

They had drinks from other countries that I honestly really enjoyed and there was this berry that I had never heard before called Berberis it was the flavor of a lemonade. The food here is delicious and we love it, but the hours are SO limited. Today we stopped by after seeing the open sign lit up and we thought, "Oh, They're open! Let's grab takeout!" When we walked in at 6:57pm the menu screens were already off. The person at the counter recommended we come back tomorrow. Really? As we drove away at 6:59pm, another pair of customers were walking up just to be turned away, too. This is now the third occasion when we wanted to grab dinner here but found out they were closed. They now have a sign posted on the door with their hours. They close at 7pm Mon-Sat and 5pm on Sundays. I can't imagine how many sales they miss out on. If they just stayed open until at least 8pm (even if just on Fridays and Saturdays) I bet they'd scoop up a lot of customers. read more

I'm disappointed that we paid $42 for 2 corner shawarmas (chicken and beef) and maybe a TBSP if that, of white sauce on the side.
