Even amid a busy dinner rush, they were quick to greet us and seat our family without difficulty. That level of hospitality goes a long way, especially when you're traveling with hungry kids! I chose the Mixed Beef and Chicken Doner, and it hit all the right notes. The beef was wonderfully seasoned, with a subtle sear that provided depth to each bite, and the chicken was moist and soft. It was a big, satisfying supper served with fluffy rice, fresh salad, and warm bread that reminded me of meals I had in other countries. My wife and kids ordered the Chicken Adana Kebab, and they were equally impressed. The skewers were grilled to perfection, with just the proper amount of heat, and the serving sizes were large. Our server ensured that the spice level was appropriate for children while maintaining the flavor. We couldn't resist eating the Tres Leches dessert, and it was the ideal way to cap the lunch. It was moist, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet, making it one of the greatest we'd ever eaten, Turkish restaurant or not. Mama Fatma Turkish Cuisine has earned a spot on our go-to list for family dinners thanks to its outstanding service, delectable cuisine, and clean, pleasant ambiance. Highly recommended for those looking for genuine Turkish cuisine with a touch of warm friendliness!

It's like a sampler plate that includes a variety of their signature dishes, allowing you to sample a little bit of everything. Personally, I found the portion to be generous enough for 3-4 people, unless you have very good appetites or are prepared to take home leftovers. Their kebabs are bursting with flavor. They grill them with lamb oil or lamb fat to enhance the taste. The beef doner and chicken were tender, juicy, and well-marinated, while the lamb chops were perfectly cooked. The mini pides looked cute. As for drinks, I tried the Doğanay Şalgam. This salty turnip juice has a unique flavor profile; it was quite an interesting experience for me as I had never tried salty juices before. In fact, it's the kind of taste you might find yourself becoming obsessed with. Although the restaurant is located in an ordinary plaza, the interior is spacious and decorated in authentic Turkish style. The staff were friendly and patient, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. If you are seeking an authentic taste of Turkey I'd recommend this restaurant. We ordered "Coban salad" for starters and also enjoyed "Sultan Beetroot Tort with freshly baked pita" that was included in all Kebab menus. For main dish, we ordered "Adana Kebab" and "Chicken Shish Kebab". Both were deliciously seasoned and cooked. Chicken Shish wasn't too oily, which we really appreciated as it was one the healthiest meals we could find in a restaurant. The service is good in general, but sometimes it's hard to attract the staff's attention and it might take longer for your request to be met.

We were surprised to find that everything was different this time around, but it did not disappoint. The new owners have updated the interior and it looks great. The menu had some familiar dishes and also lots of new options to try. The food was absolutely delicious, very fresh and flavourful. We were greeted with a smile and offered a table right away. I am gluten free and they were able to answer all my questions and recommend some dishes that were made without gluten. Will definitely be back again.

I've been 3 times once for lunch and twice for dinner and it was only busy one of the times (dinner). It is a little bit on the pricey side but I think completely worth it because they give you 4 appetizer dips and bread at the start on the house, as well as the most heart-warming tea on the house to finish off your meal. The staff are very friendly and welcoming! There isn't a lot of choices on the menu, but everything I've tried has been delicious. The portion sizes are pretty big. For someone with a smaller appetite you may have to take some food home! Now I'll rate the things I've tried: Their meat dishes come with your choice of rice or fries and a salad. The salad is amazingly satisfying and the rice is the kind of pillowy fluffy comfort rice from your childhood. I've tried fries from friends and they were alright but not special. There are a ton of meat options and the quality IS AMAZING. Some of the best quality and tasting meat I've had. It's juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. I've tried the lamb chops: they were delicious and that's coming from someone that's not a massive lamb lover. A bit expensive ($30) though since there are only 3 chops. So I wouldn't get them again. Adana kebab: DELICIOUS. Perfectly seasoned. Comes with a bit of thin bread to eat it with. This was my favourite order. Shashlik (forgive me I forget how to spell it): again a little pricier ($30 I think) but delicious!! Its a skewer with onion and perfectly delicious meat. Cheese pide: another favourite!!! This item is so affordable and is HUGE!! it tastes incredible I genuinely felt like I was in Turkey munching on the soft doughy cheesy delight that it was. The garlic sauce it comes with is heavenly. Lahamchun: yummy! Its a thinner dough than the pide so it's not as filling. But it's tasty and the portion size is huge as well. Good if you don't want to order a main meat dish. Cigar borek: good! Its a cylinder shaped pastry filled with cheese. Doesn't come with a lot. I probably wouldn't get again. Grape leaves: My friend LOVED these but I personally didn't. It didnt come with many though so its a bit pricier! All the "on-the-house" appetizers are delicious and fun to eat. My favourite is the beet one. The tea is amazing as well. A bit strong but it goes extremely well with the food. I think that's everything I wanted to mention. Highly recommend this place and I will be going often :)

Updated review March 6…read more I brought my coworkers here to try out some Turkish food. We chose the Mixed kebab platter for 4. We were a party of 6 and we were able finish the platter. The server was brand new to job so I will give him a pass this time. Some constructive feedback here. 1. Please do not clear the plates and our platter when we are still eating. 2. Please refill the bread, dipping sauce and water. My water was never refilled for the whole meal and my mouth was dry after eating all the food. Overall the food was excellent and kebabs were juicy and delicious. We were able to divide the bill in 6. Thank you Mabelle for the delicious food and my coworkers were impressed with the quality of the food and presentation of the kebab platter.

The original location is larger. I ordered the Doner Sandwich (with Beef) ($11.99). It was absolutely delicious and filling. I wasn't sure I could finish it. I took a break by writing this review. ;) They gave a lot of beef! Great value for the money! I also ordered a Baklava that is the less sweet version (they don't pour honey on it like traditional Baklava). It is still made with milk, cocoa, and pistachio. They pour sweetened milk around it. It was delicious! It normally costs $13.95 for three pieces, but I couldn't eat 3, so they were kind enough to give me one. Careful: Because the sandwich is fully wrapped,  I didn't know that I was eating from the closed end. By the time I got to the end, things were spilling out from the open end. So always check for the The customer service was good and fast. They did give me chicken instead of beef , but they gave it to another customer who was there before me; perhaps they got the orders out of order. Their mains range from $10.99 to $35.99; the more expensive items have lamb. You make your order. Then they make it in front of you and put it on a tray. You would bring your own food to your table. When finished, you bring your tray to an intake window. There is plenty of indoor seating. There is soft Turkish music playing in the background. Bingol is the name of a city in Turkey. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is semi-wheelchair accessible (there is one step and door-open buttons). There are two gender-neutral washrooms, one of which is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2024-200

I got a chicken doner wrap and a chicken doner sandwich at the grand opening of the Queen West & Bathurst location. $4.99 each so a great deal! All their wraps and breads are made fresh and so they added to the extra deliciousness of the juicy chicken, sauce and toppings. I loved the wrap more than the sandwich but both were huge and so filling! They call them doners but the chicken looked like classic shawarma style. Only thing I didn't like was I told them no onions but he forgot on the second wrap and had to pick them out with his fingers. He still left onion bits in. Also I wanted to learn more about their fresh Turkish bread they used but there is no info on their website or social media. However this location had a great vibe and it really transformed this iconic corner of Queen St. West, Toronto I've known and loved for years. Lots of tables and nice bright windows. I'd come back for the chicken wraps!
