    Sham Sampler

Al-Sham is such a gem, and the food is amazing! Prices are very reasonable, the proportions are generous, the flavors are *chef's kiss* and the menu is overwhelmingly huge! We had the family meal #3 a few months ago but we just had their wings (naked and breaded) and their sampler and all I can say is... don't sleep on their American menu! The wings were great and the sauces were generous as well. They make the food really fast, great service and good overall vibes!

Very big chunk of tomatoes ?!

Please do not buy from here , I'm very disappointed! My shawarma was very very poorly wrapped , I opened the aluminum foil and all the ingredients are falling out. I didn't even grabbed it with my hand. Chicken very dry, and also cut very poorly. Not shawarma at all .Buying from a halal truck is probably better !

I've been by this place hundreds of time and never thought to try them. Decided to order from them last week. The samosas are very good. The chicken kabobs were also pretty good. The rice, not so good. The rice seemed as if it was sitting for a long time. The food is kind of pricy but I'm sure that's due to inflation. I would definitely be back. Maybe not for the kebab but definitely for the samosas.

Love love love this place! Super fresh, quality ingredients and well seasoned! My favorites are the falafel and salmon cheesesteak & wrap. Sooooo good and excellent portions, it's always enough for 2 meals. The fries suck lol but it's not a big deal. Delivery orders are always correct and pretty fast. I've also tried the west philly location and the food is consistent. For some reason the grilled salmon platter comes with rice that isn't very seasoned but it's still really good. I hope they keep up the good work.

The customer service is 5/5!! I couldn't find parking so the girl brought my order out, appreciate it. I order lamb sharwama , grape leaves and chicken samosa, everything was great and the portions are big. Definitely going to try the rest of menu in days to come.

Currently my favorite middle eastern food place in Philadelphia. Absolutely amazing food and great service. Everyone from the staff and owner very nice and friendly. This location have plenty of seating for small group. Location is very clean as well. Kitchen is open, so you can see them cooking. Food is fresh and very tasty. They use 100% chicken and meat in their kifta and kabobs. I highly recommend this place. Come check it out. 5+ star :)

Everything is excellent, from the moment you walk in the door. The staff are all very kind, professional, and attentive. The atmosphere is an immersive, modern Yemenis experience, complete with traditional Middle Eastern music. I especially love the seated floor options, they are super comfortable and make socializing so much more relaxing. The drink options are also excellent, my favorites are the Spanish lattes and the chai. I also really like the Saudi coffee they have, just know that it's more like a tea than a coffee and that it's low and caffeine and tastes more like tea. That isn't to say it's not good, just be realistic about your expectations. The manager even came up to me to ask how I liked it, since the restaurant is new, so some people may have been disappointed with what they got compared to what they expected. I told him it was still good, and I think it makes for a really good alternative to when you want something in the evening that isn't going to keep you wired all night, but helps to keep you socialized and relaxed for the time being. So far, I have not been disappointed by any of the appetizers or entrées. The hummus and tandoor bread are quite good, as is the baba ghanouj. I never tried stuffed grape leaves until I went on a date recently and found they were a very satisfying, light starter that is full of rich taste. I personally recommend the adventure platter, especially if you have a large party, as it's a good way to sample a little bit of everything. For the entrees, I've had the Shrimp Fahsah, the Chicken Mandi, and the Vegan Bowl. The first has a perfect blend of spice and heat, presented in a sizzling, captivating bowl. The second was perfectly cooked, and the rice underneath it made it in exquisite choice. The third was a perfect entrée for when I was feeling hungry, but not particularly famished and was an excellent clean option for my appetite. I've only had one of the desserts: the Kunafa. It was unlike anything that I had tasted let alone expected. It was incredibly rich, with a creamy and sweet taste, accompanied by a crumble top that I can't really explain. You really will just have to try it. I highly recommend it. Everyone else in my various parties has had nothing but good things to say about the place and I will definitely be going here more in the future. I only recommend that if you are interested in doing the sit down seating that you make a reservation well in advance, because it's a very popular option and they book up quickly. It's nice to see Neighbor finally has an authentic Middle Eastern restaurant, because 10 or 20 years ago. This would've been completely unheard of. It's a fine addition to our town.

Platters come with two starches, rice and potatoes, which I learned are common accompaniments in Yemeni culture. I chose falafel. For a reasonable $1.99 extra your meal will be plated with a house salad. 99 cents more for a bit of hummus. Very good! My husband and our friends got kebabs, two skewers to an order. There's a choice of chicken or ground lamb and beef, which I tasted. Nicely and subtly spiced. The name alone, "fool" piqued our interest. Creamy fava beans, sauteed onions and tomatoes. Soupier than expected but flavorful, spooned over rice. Wednesday at dinnertime the restaurant was hopping -- and sort of loud. Reservations definitely warranted. Give them a try. I'll certainly return, next time splurging on dessert.

From the Bastilla pastry, which is DIVINE, to the salads, the chicken and kebabs... all the way to the baklava and tea.... there is no bad bite at Marrakesh. The owners are welcoming and super amenable and make you feel like you're coming home every single time you visit. The ground lamb didn't overpower the already expertly executed hummus and added fantastic depth and richness. We also sprung for the grilled calamari tubes and the chef did a great job of not overcooking while achieving an excellent char. We shared the baked cod and the spice was delicate and perfect. Using cured lemon was a very clever idea as the sauce was not too strong but still had depth; the saffron and turmeric were well balanced. The fish itself was NOT overcooked and flaked perfectly. The vegetables were also executed well and cooked so they could be eaten with the same bite. The star of the show was still the cook on the fish with the wonderful sauce. The sever gave us some Moroccan mint tea which was also wonderful. We will be making the drive from the Maine Line to just to dine here again.
