The restaurant is located on a main street (Marshall Road), in a very small shopping plaza with a parking lot so it was easy to locate and there is ample parking. I was greeted at the door, upon entering the restaurant, which is very small. The guy who helped me was pleasant and professional... When I got home, the food was still hot and the flavor was on point. My only gripe is that I would prefer to have a little more variety offered with the meals. For example, the chicken tikka masala is just that with rice, I would like if the dish could be served with garbanzo beans and a veggie on the side - again, for variety... I had left a review on google stating that the portions did not match the steep price. I had also mentioned that the quality of food was subpar & the size of the food was small. The owner sends in a response to the review almost a couple of minutes later stating this. "Yes that's Uber Eats that's what you will get in delivery with 26 dollars thanks for your kind feedback please find us that much food in 26 dollars on third party app like Uber Eats if you can't afford delivery don't get it delivered order it at store and pickup the same food you will get in 18 dollars at store pickup thanks again for your feedback still get us that much food in store pickup in 26 dollars somewhere else As well" The owner is very rude & dishonest. After I had made my review I presume the owner mass reported the review so google's review ai would take it down. Then, the owner floods the comments with positive reviews almost bot like. The quality of food should not matter where it was ordered from whether it was from a third party app or from a pickup order. The issue wasn't where I could not afford the meal, nor was it mentioned in my review above. Quite rude. I was torn between two and three stars. My review is based on one Grubhub delivery so take it in that context I could have caught them on an off day. Also I obviously am not rating service or atmosphere, I haven't seen the place. And the food was fresh and tasted okay. But the food was really carelessly packed. Rice containers were bagged upside down and this wasn't the delivery person's carelessness (there was no space in the package for them to move).Two tandoori dishes were packed in the open-type styrofoam containers and were shaken around and leaked everywhere. Everything was average and the paneer seemed stingy. Chicken wasn't generous. Rice was fine. Presentation even in the setting of delivery was particularly poor. I took the delivery pack directly from the delivery woman's car where it was standing right side up. So everything that happened was due to the poor packaging and presentation. This could be dangerous. I finally found an Indian restaurant that delivers to Briarcliffe through the GrubHub app. My wife is in her glory. So far we are enjoying everything. From the Chicken Makhani to the Samosa Chaat to the Vegetable Jalfrezi and the Vegetable Pakora, everything has very good flavor. I loved the Chicken Samosa and Mango Lassi as well. They even make good chicken nuggets for the 3 year old. My wife who was born in Mumbai is the expert. She says it may not be her absolute favorite, but it is good enough to make her happy. Although there are alot of great places to eat in Philly, everything closes down by 10pm. So for this place to be open at this time of night is always a plus. Whatever it was i wasn't impressed but i gave them another try tonight wasn't many options around opened on a holiday and fairly late. They have been there longer than any other restaurant that was at that location so people must enjoy the food. I ordered shahi paneer and vegetable pakora. I was surprised i really liked the entree. It was a bit oily but not too bad. The pakora was different from others I've had. It was a little dry and way more spicy than others I've tried but the flavor was good. It's the only Indian restaurant close by but it's not my first choice. Distance and location is the only thing that makes it an okay spot to grab food. read more

So excited to find a kabob shop in the new neighborhood sadly the experience was not so great. We ordered thru grub hub and we're told to expect delivery within 35 minutes. Two phone calls and 90 minutes later, our food arrived. The sauces spilled over the containers and our food was no longer warm. No luck in obtaining any sort of refund but were offered an unofficial discount next time. Not sure we'll take them up on it as the food quality wasn't what we were hoping for. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! The first time we had food from here, we liked it so we gave it another try today, and it was just a waste of money. My veggie wrap was cold and soggy (not a good combination), the shahi paneer was flavorless PLUS half of it leaked out from the container so that was devastating (apparently they forgot that plastic containers with hot food often collapse on themselves), and the papri chaat only had tamarind chutney...no dehi or green chutney. It was the sweetest chaat I ever tasted. I always ask for extra chutneys on the side, but this time the little container of green chutney was nowhere enough to save it. It was such a waste of money. For service I can give them 5 stars but food I even have to think many times to just give them one star. Regardless what kind of lamb you order they all test same and their curry test like a old can of thick tomatoes juice. Usually 5 to 6 cubes lamb cost $12.99 extremely over priced for portion. Don't take my 3-star review as bad. I honestly like this place. I'm not "taking away" stars as much as I am just trying to say that to me, this is a good spot and I order from it somewhat regularly. I'm not a newcomer to northern Indian/Pakistani food, and I know when my white palate is being condescended to. This place does not underspice the food, it doesn't oversweeten it in dishes that I've had so far, the flavors are assertive and tasty, the portions are appropriate for the price, and I haven't gotten very close to recreating their sarson de saag in my kitchen, so they must know something that Indian food bloggers aren't divulging. With that said, the dishes aren't usually "light." Most of them have what I assume is clarified butter visible on the top. This kind of thing doesn't necessarily bother me, but I've got an iron stomach. The packaging of the take-out food doesn't present the food to its greatest effect either. It all looks much more appetizing if you take the time to transfer the food to regular containers when it arrives. read more

I was really excited when I found out about this place and was hoping that I wouldn't be disappointed. I tried the palak paneer and dal makhani last Friday. The verdict? Absolutely delicious! The dishes had a lot of flavor and weren't overly buttery or oily (which seems to happen with many other Indian take-out places). The staff members were really friendly too (they even gave us a small cup of mango lassi while we waited for our food since it was very hot outside).
