Where do I begin my review? Almost 20 years ago I met Al when he was assigned to our high school in East Harlem. He offered to do school parties for our kids on a regular basis. The kids and staff loves Jos music and especially loved his humor and way with the people in attendance. I hired Al in 1999 to DJ and MC my wedding. He was a huge hit and our family loved him! After hearing all his amazing mixes and seeing how he had the dance floor PACKED for my moms 50th birthday party, we asked Al to PLEASE spin for us for our baby shower! Not only does he play the best of the best songs, he accommodates to your liking of music and knows how to blend it so well. He also keeps the party organized which is super important especially when you're on a schedule to get out of a venue at a specific time. He controlled the flow of our baby shower by announcing times to eat, the 3 baby shower games, and last call for food, drinks, etc. which was great for us as party host as we were able to actually ENJOY the moment. It was truly a pleasure working with Alfonso from start to finish. Dj Al was amazing. He dj for my sons first birthday party, in which I'm Spanish culture, it's big deal and Al understood as well as related. DJ Al Rojas takes your initial vision and maximizes it beyond your expectations! For our Disco Prom Gala he dressed the part, danced the part, and was "all in" with the music and the theme. He's a true showman! Everyone had such a good time and he helped us raise a lot of money towards for the North Shore Village Theatre's next production, "Disaster," at the Glenwood Life Center. We booked Al for our wedding in June. Music & food are the two things you remember most about a wedding so we wanted to make sure our guests had bumping music and were dancing on the floor all night long and Al did not disappoint. He was very thorough with the wedding details, having us fill out a questionaire and calling us to go over the flow and any final wedding details the week of. He was also very mindful of us and our musical tastes and took extensive time to sit with us to go over the feel we wanted at our reception. My wife and I had Al as our MC for our wedding and he was amazing. Seeing him for the first time everyone was convinced we hired the Dos Equis guy to MC our wedding.
