Hiring Ultimate Sound DJ's to play our wedding was by FAR one of the best decisions. The owner, Frank, was super down to earth and easy to talk to. When we met in person to discuss and sign the contract, he wasn't "pushy" or "gimmicky" (as some wedding vendors can be) and most importantly, we didn't feel rushed. We signed the contract for a September 2021 wedding...and, well, as things would have it due to the pandemic, we decided to push our wedding back a whole year. When we met with Frank again to discuss the rebooking, he graciously obliged at NO EXTRA COST! He listened to our wants and truly did his best to make it happen. We had a String Trio play at our Ceremony and they were absolutely breathtaking. Definitely worth it to have your ceremony serenaded by this beautiful String Trio. Moving on to the Reception. We danced on a cloud for our first dance which made for GORGEOUS photo ops! Soooo glad we chose this option! So, my husband and I are Puerto Rican, but had a VERY diverse group of guests, both in age and nationalities. It was super important for us to ensure that ALL of our guests felt included. We also wanted EVERYONE dancing (if they weren't eating). Our DJ, Omar, managed to incorporate Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, 80's and 90's R&B/Hip Hop, Disco, Freestyle, Classic Rock and even some 60's and 70's classics! Tough request, but Omar executed this flawlessly! The MC we initially booked was unable to work our wedding due to some personal matters which Frank notified us as soon as he could and handled it without missing a beat. He guaranteed us that our new MC would do just as great as our first pick. On our big day, the new MC Joseph did not disappoint. He made time to come up to the bridal suite and speak with my husband I to ensure we were ALL on the same page. Let me not fail to mention the drummer! We saw him perform at an Ultimate Sound Showcase and we couldn't resist! Great sound addition and amazing photo ops when he allowed my husband and I to take over the drums and congas! Fast forward to Hora Loca (Crazy Hour)...we had one of their 7 Ft LED Robots do a whole new re-entry with my new Husband and I, O2 guns and all!!! The crowd went WILD! 5 months later and family is still talking about "The Robot!!!". My Husband and I danced till the last song played! Our guests danced all night right beside us! What can I say about Ultimate Sound DJs? They're awesome! Our wedding was a bit of a mixed bag of ethnicity. The crowd was everything from conservative Koreans to boogie down Puerto Ricans. We even had an opera singer who needed instrumentals which the DJ had in his catalog! Additionally, we chose the package where we had the option for Dancing on the Clouds (for our first dance) and the sparklers effect (that matched the beat of the music). If you want a piece of advice, get BOTH - it was well worth the money. They did their thing. Raul made sure everything was seamless and smooth. Not to mention he's pretty easy on the eyes lol. After the wedding, everyone kept raving about how much energy he had and how he made sure everyone felt like they were involved and how entertaining his sets were. Whether providing handkerchiefs for us to use during our shoe game questionnaire (because we didn't want to take our shoes off) or making sure to hop table to table interacting with the wedding guests, there wasn't a dull moment or any awkward pauses throughout the entire night. I can honestly say I don't know how he does it. The team at Ultimate Sound DJs are top-tier entertainers. Not only were they professional and organized, they were able to accommodate a few last minute detail changes without a hiccup. They say that music is the universal language but Raul really did a great job in making sure that everybody was on the same page and vibing to the same beat. We just had my daughter's sweet 16....and we hired these guys as the dj's. All I can say is incredible job. From the initial meeting to the end. My husband and I hired ultimate sound for our wedding. Music to me at a wedding is VERY important and picking/committing to a dj was one of the hardest decisions. I'm so glad we chose ultimate sound though because we couldn't have been happier with them. Frank, Raul, and the dj were great. Frank was always communicating with us and was one of the few vendors that actually reached out to US a few days before the wedding to assure us that everything was good on their end and that we had nothing to worry about.. it was very reassuring to not have to chase a vendor in the days leading up to the wedding. We went with Ultimate Sound DJs for music, up lighting, and videography for our wedding...and are still reeling from what a great find this was!! Raul was our contact from the beginning and after spending 5 min speaking with him we knew. We were fortunate to book Raul as our MC and couldn't be happier. He is charismatic, funny, friendly...the list goes on but basically everything you could hope for in an MC and more. The only thing that could top his professionalism was his skill as an MC in keeping the party going and bringing the wedding together. Ultimate sounds DJ is the BEST Dj company. I went to their showcase, one of which takes place in Terrace on the Park. You were able to see all the services they provided, meet all of the MCs and get a feel for what they are like, they have bilingual trilingual MCs, and have a variety of DJs to make sure they play a whole variety of tunes. They were able to accommodate last minute changes, they were patient. I wasn't aware of how many songs we had to pick for our wedding but Raul was able to help us out and alleviate us of so much stress. The wedding was beautiful, it was went by so smoothly. Raul and DJ Rafael understood the vibe of the crowd and remained within the genre of songs we approved of. I finally got around to writing a review for this great company. This was probably the easiest vendor I had to deal with during my wedding planning. I booked Frank's team pre-pandemic. I worked with Raul to set everything up back in 2019 and he answered all my concerns. They were also able to give me a military discount, which is always a plus! Throughout the pandemic, Frank was always responsive and understanding with multiple date changes and uncertainties. Finally, I confirmed my date for May 8th, 2021. Frank sent me the questionnaire about introductions, formalities, and top 20 songs, etc. Very easy for me because we didn't have any formalities and just wanted a big party! Rafael was our DJ that night. I could not have been happier. Rafael called me the day before to confirm the form was correct and better understand what we were envisioning. We worked with Ultimate Sound DJs for our wedding at The Sand Castle and had a good experience. The pricing was decent and the service was great at the wedding. Everyone had an awesome time at the wedding thanks to the great party music and lively hosting. Our experience started off with meeting them at their local office in College Point where the owner asked his "star" DJ to come and do a sample for us in their party room, where my husband, brother, parents and I got to simulate our own little party and dance around to the music. We were pretty impressed that anything we asked for as a request on the spot, the DJ was able to play shortly after. They even made some fun references to Filipino line dancing that made me confident they knew what type of music/crowd we'd have. We also took some fun practice shots in the photo booth that we also used for the wedding. He was courteous and professional and sold us on booking them for the wedding. At the wedding, they came on time to set up the photo booth and DJ. Our hostess was hot and had a lot of our single guys checking her out, haha! She mispronounced a few names, but nothing major worth crying over, and her professionalism was right on point. My only reason for not giving five stars is that it took some chasing on our part to get the copy of the photo booth pictures from them and had to call them a few times, to the point, I was worried they had lost them! Also, the photo booth pictures had some line going through them when you printed them, which wasn't terrible, but wasn't as crisp as I would have liked. I'd give Ultimate Sound DJs 6 stars if I could. My husband and I booked them for our wedding in February 2013 and had the greatest experience. Frank, the owner, was so professional and knowledgable. From the very first email asking if we could come in to the office to check out a showcase up until the weekend before our wedding when we went over final details and he shared a bunch of wedding-day tips, he was a pleasure to work with. He was even at our actual wedding helping the DJ and MC set up and making sure everything went smoothly! He wished us well and it was truly genuine. The actual music/party- my god our MC Raul and DJ Juan were phenomonal! They kept the party going from beginning to end! The mix of American music and salsa/merengue, not to mention English/Spanish announcements, were perfect for our guests! The preference sheets we had to fill out before the wedding were followed, all of our favorite songs and artists were played, in addition to a bunch of other amazing music. Four different guests in attendance have asked me for Ultimate Sounds contact info for future reference, and everyone I spoke to went on and on about what a great time they had and that our wedding had the best music and most fun vibe. They offered packages starting at $1300, ours was $1600 which is pretty much going rate in Queens/LI. We added on the favors (sunglasses, leis, etc) and I'm glad we did, all the guests loved the extra stuff! My only warning if you go to the College Point office is don't take the White Star limo business card- big bad mistake booking them. We just got married over the past weekend on 6/13. We had hired Raul and DJ Omar for our wedding after seeing Raul in action at a friend's wedding last year. He's absolutely mesmerizing! At about a month before the wedding, we met with Raul to go over the worksheet and all the details involving the wedding. He patiently explained all the details, sat with us to choose reception entrance songs, taught us how to make our photoslide dvd, and eventually helped us to tweak and finalize our reception timeline. Me and my wife got married back on June 16th 2018 and the process of choosing all of your vendors can be quite difficult and nerve wrecking. You have a sense of pressure to use the preferred vendors just because you get that feeling "what happens if this vendor never worked at my venue or screws up somehow, doesn't know the layout, what if he has problems with the venue staff just because he is not a "preferred vendor?" I interviewed with a lot of different DJ's.....Ultimate Sound DJ's was NOT a preferred vendor of my wedding venue. But we decided to hire them anyways. We did this because of the owner, Frank Corti. We felt super comfortable with him. No high pressure sales, he sits, calmly talks with you, explains everything, answers all of your questions. He didn't just sell us, he consulted us. He sat an extra 1 1/2 hours talking about all of the weddings he had worked and other vendor types he ran into (flowers. food, entertainment extras) telling his thoughts or opinions on them. He did all of this BEFORE EVEN TAKING A DEPOSIT. It wasn't that he pushed us to use another vendor buddy of his - he just explained how everything works and generally what to expect. Just a real honest conversation that we needed to have and we truly appreciated that. Now some people reading this might say "wow - you found a nice guy to talk to, big deal, go buy each other a beer sometime and have a few laughs" - but how did they perform"? Wouldn't you rather a shit attitude no knowledge vendor that puts on an amazing performance instead of a really nice sales men that sells you crap? Welllll......There performance and level of service on the day of the wedding WAS ON POINT. We had a mixed crowd of Conservation Jews & Chinese folk to loud Hispanics that want to drink, dance, and drink & dance some more. They set us up with MC Tunde - who with his DJ (sorry forgot his name!) took the party to another level!!! He knew when to go from Frank Sinatra to Reggaeton to Calvin Harris/EDM to Hip Hop and in the end - he also sang in Perfect Chinese to my and my wife!!!! Yes that's right - he speaks English, Spanish, and Chinese - so everybody was super excited, lit, and on the DANCE FLOOR!!!! Level of Service = Excellent DJ/MC = Excellent Price = Very Very Fair Access to business owner for any & every need/detail & last second changes = Yes, we had this too. I think Frank actually asked us more questions just to make sure we covered all of our bases!!! Frank spent plenty of time in advance making sure that he had the exact songs we wanted, many of which he had to buy because of our not normal requests. He also was the MC at the wedding reception and did a fantastic job. Fun, lively, humorous. He supplied the music for our ceremony too. During the ceremony, when we realized that we forgot a glass to break (it's a Jewish thang,) Frank found a lightbulb, which many people use anyway. That was awesome. AMAZING!!!! TOUCHING!!!! These are only a few of the many words we can use to describe our experience with Ultimate Sound DJ's!!! Beginning with our meeting with Frank, he made us feel at ease from day one, then continuing with Raul to go over our big day in detail a week before. We obtained the Photo and Video package and our Photographer Andre is in a class all by himself and Miguel our Videographer was incredible. We had DJ Jimmy and MC Don Suave, together they brought ELEGANCE & HIGH ENERGY, there was never a dull moment. We also had a Step & Repeat area when guests arrived at the venue and they used the banner for the photo booth station. Frank and his staff know what they're doing and it shows. We've been getting calls & text messages from people since our wedding on October 20, 2018 saying how theatrical and amazing the DJ and MC were. All I can say is WOW! These guys are amazing. Ultimate Sounds did our wedding this month and just about every guest has commented to us about how fantastic MC Raul was. He is so professional and charismatic. He made every moment special and everyone was so impressed with him. Such a gentleman! DJ Enzo was awesome and had the dance floor packed the entire night. My husband and I took dance lessons for our first dance. When Raul learned this he was sure to arrange some time to do a run through before the guests arrived. Personalized, proud, professionalism from a man who knows his business. Frank was our DJ/MC at our wedding yesterday and he was outstanding. From the day we first met him to when we parted after the party yesterday, we knew we made a great choice. Frank's attention to detail and support in personalizing our wedding was impressive and gave us 110% confidence in him. We were able to meet in person, talk on the phone, and email each other throughout the planning process. We gave Frank our songs for ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner, and we loved hearing them all. When it was time for dancing, Frank got in many of our preselected favorites, mixed awesomely with songs of the same genre and style, and truly had our entire room jumping. (The overflow songs that didn't make it into the dance sets were played during dessert). He has a way of getting people on the floor, either by telling everyone it's a sign of respect and love for the bride and groom to be on the dance floor, or by reading his crowd and knowing where to go. An example, some of the 12 kids wanted a conga line, so Frank put them up front and before you know it everyone was up. Nothing we expected or planned, but it was great. He got our crowd up for the hora and even made sure my stepkids got to go up in the chairs. They were beyond thrilled. I also have to say, Frank was calm, cool, and professional through the entire process. He was the first vendor I saw once I got to the venue ahead of my wife and he came over in his quiet way, told me how things were going as they set up, and continually checked in with me throughout the night to keep me informed of what was coming up and when. Last minute changes didn't faze him and as I said, we had full confidence in our man. Knowing I had him over our shoulder at the booth and that we could run over to him for whatever we needed helped us have a phenomenal party. So many people were raving about him. Thanks, Frank (and your other guy, whose name I can't remember) for an awesome time. We only wish the party could have kept going! read more
