Greg is one of a kind! I have known Greg for the last 5 years. As we work together, I had a chance to get to know him better and see all the passion, dedication and love he puts into his work. I recently launched my fashion brand and was organizing a big fashion show (200 people) in September. DJ Greg always had time for us in the planning process, and even went the extra mile to provide us with a small sample mix to prove his transition chops early in the game. First time me and my wife saw Greg, was at Kimberly Hotel Rooftop. His set was super stylish yet very groovy, so we really enjoyed the music that night. My wife (girlfriend at that time) came up to Greg asking for a business card, the music was that good. So a few months after we decided to ask him to play at our wedding and it was one of the wisest decisions ever. Here is why: A side of the great quality mix, bespoke professionalism and punctuality DJ Greg Hansen really SAVED OUR WEDDING from a disaster. The venue we chose for our reception party had very decent, hi-end speakers installed all over the ceiling. The sound system located in the back of the kitchen played a playlist from itunes during the usual hours, so we decided to connect all the DJ equipment to the speakers directly and use the venue's native sound system. That was a big mistake. What we found out at our wedding day, is that the restaurant's amplifiers were too weak and the moment we put the music on, it stopped. We almost had our first dance cancelled and the whole party become a disaster. It was also a Sunday, 8 PM so there were no options and time to rent speakers at that time anywhere. Greg solved the situation beautifully. Hi called his wife and asked her to bring an extra set of speakers all the way from Upper West Side. In 30 minutes we had the music pumping and a set of new very good quality speakers by the DJ booth, The First Dance was saved too. One more thing. I used to work with DJs during my early career and arranged a PR and Bookings for about 200 parties. Comparing to all the DJs I have had pleasure to work with, Greg is definitely one of the Best. Extremely sensitive to the mood of the audience, professional and has a great taste in music. He beautifully combined different genres and seamlessly mixed tracks with different BPM. He felt the right time to put a certain song and enjoyed the set himself not less than any of our guests. He was amazing at reading the crowd and got everyone, from my parents friends to my 7 year old niece, on their feet dancing.
