NOT GOOD SERVICE I purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee from them in June of 2024. I remember driving away with mixed feelings, mostly regarding their tactics and what I paid. I was forced to purchased security lug nuts that I could not get away from. I went to a dealership for service last week and found out that the security lug nut socket they gave me did not fit. I was obviously suprised. I contacted the service department and got NO Help other than I needed to drive 4 hours round trip to get resolution. When I asked about charges, they basically cut me off from cummunications. After multiple attempts, they did not call back. What kind of service is this. I made an appointment for warranty work that needed to be done on my 2014 Lincoln MKZ hybrid. This was the first time to be at this dealership and was very surprised at how well we were taken care of because we have had much less than satisfactory service at another dealer. I was a new customer. Went to have a routine service on a 1 year old Lincoln. Amazingly screwed things up, and they ended up taking off a bumper to fix it. Customer service waiting room out of the 1950s No follow up call regarding their service, in contrast to my other Lincoln Dealership. Authorization for repair signed Dec. 27. The body shop said car would be ready by January 15th. I had to reach out to my insurance company to find out it was delayed until Jan. 18. At this point, our car was delayed until Jan. 25, then extended to Feb. 1, next to Feb. 6 at noon, then 5:00 p.m. Another delay came to bring us to Feb. 8 at 8:00 am, then noon, then 1:30 and finally 2:30 when I picked it up. Walt, the body shop manager responded to my question, "My car has been here for 7 weeks, what is your average turnaround time?" with a curt, "7 weeks". He was either telling the truth, which should be a warning to you, or he was being sarcastic after having a $10,000 insurance check cut. Either way it was unprofessional. He did not show me around the car, nor tell me what they did. The car had dozens of paint nibs, 2 large areas of orange peel and the clear coat strip was not attached to the car door, the hood which they removed and replaced was misaligned as well as the bumper that they replaced. I contacted the dealership owner, Rick Karras and he assured me that he would get it fixed and HE would call me back NOT Walt. However, Mr. Karras did not call me back, he had Walt, who was the problem, call me back. Feb. 19 I brought the car back in. Mr. Karras and Walt looked at it, if you read the BBB complaint, you will see Mr. Karras admitted that damage was done in shop so he fixed that as well. It was supposed to be ready in 3 days, but true to form, I did not get it back until Feb. 27. Even as I picked up the car and the owner himself was involved, the clear coat strip was still not put on the car and had to be done at the last minute while I waited. I contacted Mr. Karras to ask him to consider compensation and waive our $500 deductible because of all of the problems. He said that he might have considered it before I reported him to the BBB and Office of Consumer Affairs (the insurance agent had given him this info). At some point, a week or so later, Mr. Karras offered me $250, because he admitted it took a "little longer than usual". Whether it is a lack of care or a case of a bad-faith operation, Mr. Karras has shown little respect for my time or my husband's time, or the money that I and the insurance company paid to have the car done correctly. Therefore, I rejected his offer. I shouldn't even be responsible for half of the deductible when the service went this poorly. I can not in good conscience NOT warn other potential customers who might find themselves making 2 months worth of car payments while their car is in the Alex Karras Lincoln body shop. Sorry Mr. Karras, loyalty is earned, not bought. read more

Just saw an 8 on your side report on TV and apparently a young enlisted man left for boot camp - told the dealership he would be back in January to get his tool box, filled with tools, valued between 3-4K. They arrived in January and were told the toolbox must have been stolen. Mr. Karras hung up on this young man when he tried to pursue a resolution. Mr. Karra spoke with Channel 8 and said he would try and resolve it, he then stopped taking Channel 8's calls. Mr. Karras was given ample opportunity to rectify this situation, but has flatly refused to do the right thing. I think his attitude and callousness speak volumes about his character, which means that this is one place I would never buy a car from. read more
