This was a chance spot that we happened by on our way to another ristorante. Very engaging service from both Christian (very funny person) and Fabio, who attended to our every whim. Very quaint and quiet location and one of the few that focus on carne almost entirely. The Fiorentina is outstanding and perfectly prepared. The carpaccio needed a little more sauce or spice but was still excellent. Spinach sautéed in butter was a nice touch. The meal was complemented by a very nice Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and a nice fruit tart.
What a wonderful dining experience we had at this fine restaurant on our last night in Venice. We walked by it the day before and saw the aged meats in the clear showcase cooler. We asked for reservations for the next night. There was no specific dress code, meaning my husband could wear his favorite attire - dress shorts and polo shirt. Our server was so great, and he works there with his wife, who made sure we were welcomed in and made us feel very appreciated for dining with them. We had a perfect bottle of cab wine, "Igino", grilled octopus and a Pad Thai shrimp appetizer. My husband had a T-Bone which they cut up beautifully. I had a petite filet. Both cooked perfectly medium rare. We also enjoyed two charred corn on the cobs. We indulged in desserts. Strawberry cheesecake and the special cake of the day which I couldn't understand the name of but both were delicious. I was so happy to see Al Grill on Yelp so I could review it. I cannot stress enough how wonderful our service was with the husband/wife duo. The meal was absolutely perfect.
Thank God for Google maps we walked and walked and found a perfect place. We are originally from Chicago but are living in New York City blocks from WTC. So we do know steaks for sure. This place is a dream. Peaceful and we could not believe the prices. And forget the ambiance the only bad part is that this was a last day in Venice. The only thing more beautiful than the steaks was my beautiful wife.
The restaurant is known by locals but you will find tourists as well. They are known for their meat selection, as it is rare to find a grill place in Venice. It was one of the best meals we had and the service was great! Their main focus is beef, so be aware that they have limited options for other things.
Steaks grilled to perfection--think Florentine and T-bone cuts that hit the mark every time. Cozy, rustic interior with warm wood and brick tones sets a relaxed yet elevated mood. Service stays sharp and friendly, even when the place is full. Dessert game is strong--tiramisu and strawberry cheesecake finish the meal on a high note. Wine list is solid, staff actually help you navigate it. Worth a reservation.
Everything was amazing. We didn't have reservations however sever was kind enough to let us know to have a table for an hour. We were hungry and were happy to dine in some meat. As most places we had pasta carbs (not complaining). Being from texas meat was a welcome sight for us. Whole staff was nice food came out good sides were excellent. Definitely recommend angus!
Really have to give this place a high / perfect rating, the service here is amazing. The waiters are so nice and make you feel like family, service was 10/10. Food was also 10/10 and got to us really quick. Steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it to be. Also the restaurant is really nice and fresh inside. Has outdoor seating but we sat inside to cool down with the heat. Definitely will come back

Steak cooked perfectly, a mixed grill with tender cuts and incredible flavors, and the best French fries I've ever eaten. And finally, people who are welcoming, helpful, and have fun working together? Then check again. The staff explained the menu, answered questions, and even the wait staff not tending our table greeted us and made us feel welcome. It was the perfect ending to our first night in Venice- and we highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great steakhouse!
Best, most accomodating and upbeat servers. Speak English well and very funny and friendly. The food was excellent. I had lamb chops, and caponata. Delicious! For dessert we shared the most creamy and delicious cheese cake I ever had. Desserts made fresh on the premises. We sat outside since it wasn't as cool inside. Make a reservation if you can, if not I saw people walk in and they found a table for them. Casual rustic ambience - good wine!
One of my favorite restaurants in all of Europe! Yes it's steak, but it's magical. I made early evening reservations for dinner because all the "normal" mealtimes were taken. Such a popular spot. Arrived at 5:45pm and got seated at one of the high tables in front. Great way to interact with all the staff members and see a little behind the scenes. I ordered the steak special of the day (with spinach) because I told the waiter just to pick something for me. While waiting for the meat to cook, I had to exercise self-control to resist eating all the delicious bread in front of me. Also downed a few glasses of chianti. Such a mouthwatering and filling meal overall. I would totally go out of my way to come back here again.

We ordered the tomahawk steak and it was easily enough steak for three people. The steak was excellent! We also enjoyed corn on the cob and pasta noodles which were all good. Our service was excellent and we did not have to wait at 7:00 for a table. 7:00 is early for Italians for dinner but perfect for us! read more

Holy cow This place was soo good. We didn't have a reservation but luckily we were able to be seated. Food was fresh and great. My favorite part was the strawberry cheesecake. It was by far one of the best I've ever had in my LIFE! read more

Excellente!!! Truly Italian....aged Tomahawk and fab carpaccio complimented with a Caesar AND a bottle of vino...moderately priced but worth the $$/€€. Great relaxing environment to enjoy your meal. A break from the crowds. read more

The food was delicious, but the place is a long walk away from the train. It's so worth it though. The outside area is mostly just a walkway, but the ambiance is nice and relaxing. read more

Read some good reviews and wanted to try something other than pasta and pizza do I decided to try here. Nice clean and friendly staff.. Sat inside because I was told they have AC.. Well not so much AC when it got packed inside.. I was sweating the whole time . Ordered large mixed salad. One of the best mixed salad I had in a while.. Nice selection of greens and other toppings. Had an awesome florentine steak in Florence so I opted to try the tomahawk steak.. Ordered basked of fries and grilled corn as side dishes.. Steak came out looking yummy but it lacked in flavor.. Fries were nicely fried and hot.. Grilled corn was also not bad.. Ordered cream brulee as dessert which was yummy.. The staff actually came by during meal and asked if meal was good and if I needed anything else.. Which I think was only one of few restaurants that did that since I've been in Italy. Over all service was great, food was pretty good. I would definitely come back here again. read more

Great steak in Venice! The staff was the best!!! Super friendly and funny! The roast beef appetizer was super tender! The only thing is I wish my steak was warmer and it was over cooked but the experience made up for it. Our waiter Christian was the best! read more

Best steakhouse I have ever been to. I was a bit disappointed with all the restaurants in Venice, I felt as the food tasted cheap, and just basic. My husband found this spot and everything was amazing, the service was great! Very friendly and informative staff, they were happy to help and answer any questions. The steak was phenomenal, the best steak I have ever had (we had the tomahawk). We also had the strawberry cheesecake (again amazing) and cappuccinos. I am sad to see they don't have any other locations. I highly recommend this spot to everyone!! read more

The food was great and the atmosphere charming. Unfortunately the waiter was a bit unscrupulous. My wife and I each ordered a filetto, afterwhich my daughter ordered the Tomahawk, which was recommended as one of the best cuts of meat by the hostess, and my daughter does like steak. We saw that the Tomahawk was sold by weight, and had we done the conversion properly It would have been obvious to us that this was meant to be shared between two and three people (see photo). And while this was definitely our mistake, the waiter clearly knew we were over ordering as my wife and I had ordered first, and my daughter, who is very petite, ordered last. When the food was served at least 4 different staff members who we had never seen before came by to make comical remarks about how much food my daughter had ordered and if she needed help with her meal. The remarks were all in good spirit, and we had a good time, but a waiter with more scruples would have made an effort to let us know of our blunder, rather than run back to tell the staff of our obvious mistake. I would still recommend this restaurant but would advise you to more careful than we were, and to not expect help from the staff. Il cibo era ottimo e l'atmosfera affascinante. Purtroppo il cameriere era un po' senza scrupoli. Mia moglie ed io abbiamo ordinato un filetto ciascuno, dopodiché mia figlia ha ordinato il Tomahawk, che è stato consigliato come uno dei migliori tagli di carne dalla padrona di casa, e a mia figlia piace la bistecca. Abbiamo visto che il Tomahawk veniva venduto a peso e, se avessimo effettuato la conversione correttamente, sarebbe stato ovvio per noi che doveva essere condiviso tra due o tre persone (vedi foto). E anche se questo è stato sicuramente il nostro errore, il cameriere sapeva chiaramente che stavamo ordinando troppo perché io e mia moglie avevamo ordinato per primi, e mia figlia, che è molto minuta, ha ordinato per ultima. Quando il cibo fu servito, almeno 4 diversi membri dello staff che non avevamo mai visto prima vennero a fare commenti comici su quanto cibo mia figlia aveva ordinato e se aveva bisogno di aiuto con il suo pasto. Le osservazioni erano tutte di buon umore e ci siamo divertiti, ma un cameriere con più scrupoli avrebbe fatto uno sforzo per farci sapere del nostro errore, piuttosto che correre indietro per dire allo staff il nostro evidente errore. Consiglierei comunque questo ristorante, ma vi consiglierei di stare più attenti di noi e di non aspettarvi aiuto da parte del personale. read more

Excellent steak house located just off the touristy section of Venice Had the tomahawk steak for two and it proved to be most satisfying! Don't believe you will find anything better in Venice. Portions are generous and quality is high. read more

It New Year's Eve and didn't have reservations. They were so kind to accommodate my family of 5. We ordered our steaks and they were delicious and quick. Had the best desserts!! My sisters are traveling later in the year and plans to to have dinner here as well read more

The T bone just cooked the way we want it, I would also recommend their cheese plate and grill vegetables. The service is good, with a lot of staff helping the waiter that serve our table. The Deco is the best one we have in Venice, and we had been to 7 different with high rating in this app. To us a great place to dine with a warm and cozy feeling. read more

Went here with my boyfriend & we both loved it. Ordered the Florentine Steak, Corn, & got a bottle of the Amarone wine. Everything was amazing. I'm not a huge steak person, but I loved it. We ended with the strawberry cheesecake which was fantastic. The waiters were also hilarious & made the experience super enjoyable. If you are ever in Venice, you need to go here. read more
Speaking for myself: ordering a steak at a restaurant is definitely a once in a year type thing, if that. I treat it more as a luxury and doing this makes eating it a special occasion. Their menu is centered around meat, meat, and more meat so if you're a vegetarian/vegan this probably isn't the restaurant you want to go to. This spot is known for their quality of meat which is bought directly from the source and I'm here to tell you that it's amazing! We ordered the Ribeye, Lamb Skewers, and Corn on the Cob. The ribeye was ordered to be cooked medium rare and it came out perfect! I've had my fair share of over-cooked steak and the chefs at this restaurant know exactly how to grill their steak. The steak had a crusty, crunchy, well-browned exterior surrounding a core of perfectly pink, juicy, tender meat that spans from edge to edge. Each bite of steak was even more flavorful than the last! The Lamb Skewers were also deliciously grilled to perfection and each bite was succulent, juicy, and loaded with flavor! Grilled corn pairs so well with grilled meats which is why we ordered it as our side and it tasted great. The kernels were moist, flavorful yet had that delicious slight smokiness to it. Make sure to make a reservation because this place was completely booked the night we were there and they were turning away walk-in customers due to their limited seating. read more

One of the best restaurants in Venice. Amazing atmosphere and out of this world food. Our waiter Cristian was wonderful and very welcoming. We had the lamb skewers and tomahawk along with some wine. Everything was beyond delicious and was at a good price point. Will definitely be recommending this place to anyone who plans on visiting Venice. 10/10. read more
