Fresh bread.

My food was great, service was pretty slow though. I ordered the pork chop with a mix of seeet and hot peppers. Wow they were hot. It was served with some potato slices, which were crispy and flavorful. Bread was served with some butter while I waited on my pork chop. It was delicious.

Truthfully I would skip eating at Al Di La. In New Jersey where there's an Italian restaurant on every corner, trust me you can find better. Much better. The service was so poor here. Our waiter took well over a half hour to take our order. He kept completely disappearing. He also forgot food in our order - I'm still waiting for it.... Drinks were terrible and horrendously overpriced for the quality. They also took over a half hour to be served We asked for some more juice to water some drinks down to be palatable and they even changed for this. A literal mouthful of juice. The food was nothing special, I didn't particularly enjoy it. I know this place is always crowded but it's a no from me. Take your business elsewhere.

My brother in law has been coming here for decades! Long story short get the Jessy salad! It's all about the dressing! We went for Mother's Day so unfortunately it was a fixed menu. But you can taste the freshness with each bite. You can't go wrong with anything you order. Our waiter was attentive despite how busy the place was.

This was definitely one of the restaurants you don't judge by it's location or sign which you can not see unless your standing in front of the restaurant. We walked in almost to walk out but I'm sure happy we stayed. We were greeted by a gentleman who was most likely the owner & sat down promptly and they knew we needed a fast dinner service since we went to a concert at Met Life Stadium which is near by. For appetizers we had the Caesar Salad, tomato & mozzarella, Angelina Kisses & the rice balls they were all surprisingly delicious. For dinner I had the Pork Chop with arugula which was huge perfectly prepared but lacked salt. The Chicken Parm was plentiful & delicious. Grandma Sunday sauce was good with nice soft meatballs & sausage. We ordered a side order of Penne with Vodka & that was the best dish. The desserts looked amazing but unfortunately we were out of time. They have a beautiful new party room in the back. The restaurant doesn't like Italian it has more of a bar atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place.

Food here is good. Italian like you would think your grandma to make. Delicious comfort food. I liked the penne with vodka sauce and the cheese ravioli is good as well. I am a big fan for the muscles. The staff is just lovely and treats everyone like a friend. We come here when working in town. Love it when we can hit on kareokee night! Everyone is just there to eat drink and have a great time.

Went here on 5/22. They had live musical guest Bobby Valli brother of Frankie. And he was awesome!! We had an amazing time. All the appetizers were amazing (Calamari, artichoke franchise, general chos cauliflower, and a shrimp appetizer.) Our dinners were outstanding huge portions I got the filet medallions with grilled vegetables and a light sauce it was enough to take home and eat the next day. I also had cheesecake and a chocolate martini for dessert. The wait for drinks and food took a bit but they were busy and our waitress was amazing so it didn't bother us. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be going back very soon!!

COVID TAKEOUT: Chicken parmigiana that came with spaghetti. This was very delicious!!!!

COVID TAKE OUT REVIEW: I've only been to this restaurant two times and the both times I was there, the food did not disappoint. I've seen this place while passing by Rt. 17 a lot and it doesn't look like much but if you drive to the other side, they have a patio and ample parking space. I saw a big tent in the back so they are doing outdoor dining/patio dining. The owner/chef is there most of the time and the food there have been great every time. I've decided to call and order for pick up and they had my food ready in about 40 minutes. I ordered 3 entrees, 1 appetizer, and a salad and total was $78. It was packaged nicely in foil tins and plastic wrapped. They gave it to me in a cardboard box. Go check out their page on FACEBOOK. They just started doing karaoke night and seems to have COVID family meal deals as well. Call ahead and ask for their latest updates though. It's been hard for restaurants to survive in this tough climate and I wish I could support more businesses. I hope ya'll do the same because without them, they won't be able to withstand this pandemic with all these uncertainties.

Ok amazing Rigatoni Vodka Sauce Dinner my son can't stop talking about it .

I see this place all the time driving and always wanted to stop by so I did for early dinner. I requested the calamari which just took me back 25 years when it was all about amazing Italian food everywhere. Then had the rigatoni with vodk sauce. And oh my god best vodka sauce I had in years. The bread is worm, and delicious. Our servers were very attentive even servers that had other tables came by to ask how is everything. From start to finish I can't complain people were nice and kind and food is delicious. I will be booking my sisters bridal shower here and will be back

This place has great food, especially the penne vodka. And on weekends there's usually entertainment.

This is a classic deli, walls full of tomatoes, pasta, family photos, and citizen of the year awards. My only regret is we forgot to get cannolis on the way out. (Probably because the portions are huge.) Not far off the highway so you can keep dad feeling like we're still making good time. I ordered the buffalo wings, garlic knots, a small cheese pizza with vodka sauce instead of marinara & mushrooms, and a cannoli. The wings were not Buffalo, they were a mix between Buffalo and bbq. If I had known, would not have ordered. Did not like the bbq sauce flavor. I also asked for ranch as I despise bleu cheese but alas, I did not get ranch and had to eat my wings plain. Garlic knots were perfect. The pizza tho. Ugh, it was so bad. They made a cheese mushroom pizza with way too much cheese and then put the vodka sauce on top after!!! Like a drunken grandma pie. That's not what I wanted. I asked for, "a cheese pizza with vodka sauce." It was so soggy that it soaked through the bottom of the box. Stayed soggy even after reheating in the oven. I ate half a slice and tossed the rest sadly. I won't be ordering from here again. The cannoli was fine but wouldn't order again either. The only thing I would eat again is the garlic knots. Very disappointing for Jersey pizza.

Bareli's in Secaucus makes a fantastic first impression. The restaurant sits on a busy route with…read moreeasy access in and out, and the parking lot is large enough to accommodate many vehicles. The interior is visually impressive: elegant table linens, comfortable leather chairs, and a dining room that looks polished and upscale. When we arrived, what appeared to be the owner was greeting guests at the entrance. Since he was welcoming everyone and dressed differently from the rest of the staff, we assumed he was the owner. It was a great touch and immediately raised our expectations. Unfortunately, the experience did not fully match that first impression. We started with drinks: a glass of wine for me and an Old Fashioned for my wife. As happens too often in restaurants, the stronger drink was automatically assumed to be mine, and the drinks were delivered incorrectly. It's a small detail, but one that reflects attention--or lack of it. Bread arrived quickly, followed soon after by the food. I ordered the gnocchi with meat sauce. The dish was acceptable, but nothing extraordinary. My wife ordered the house seafood salad, which was very good--fresh, flavorful, and easily the best dish we had that night. Our waiter spoke limited English. Once he realized we also spoke his language, the service became noticeably more relaxed and somewhat overly familiar. He immediately tried to guide us toward the most expensive items on the menu. When I declined coffee after dinner, he responded by saying something along the lines of: "Well, that's your choice, but the coffee here is very good," which felt unnecessary. We also had a small issue with the Old Fashioned garnish. The orange peel looked unusual, so we asked for the drink to be replaced. The waiter did replace it, though he first tried to explain that what we thought were worms were simply marks on the fruit peel. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu, which the waiter promoted heavily as the best dessert to try. Unfortunately, it didn't deliver. Instead of the classic layered presentation, it arrived more like a cup full of cream with a few pieces of soaked bread and very little coffee flavor. The issue was not just the dessert itself, but the expectations created when it was described. Bareli's is a beautiful restaurant with a great location and atmosphere, but the service details and execution didn't quite match the level suggested by the setting.

The walls are covered in antiques, china, and Christmas lights. Somehow, it all comes together to feel like stepping into your grandmother's dining room. The seating is intimate, with long tables that can accommodate larger parties. They have a nicely sized menu, but the real star is the extensive list of daily specials, presented on a giant physical whiteboard that they bring right to your table. Very old-school. I showed up without a reservation, not expecting it to be particularly busy, only to find two birthday parties underway. Fortunately, they were able to fit us in! The service was warm and friendly. I did have to flag them to order - they seem to give you your time. Prices are very reasonable (around $20-25 per plate), and portions are generous, especially the pasta. My friend ordered the penne alla vodka with a side of meatballs, while I had the shrimp Francese, which came with a choice of pasta or potatoes and vegetables. I went with the potatoes and vegetables. My one minor complaint is that they automatically add butter without asking, which I would have preferred to opt into. That said, everything was delicious and full of flavor. I'd absolutely return, especially for a group dinner or family gathering. The menu included fried calamari, chicken parmesan, penne alla vodka, Alfredo sauce, meatballs, ravioli, and more. My favorites were the meatballs and chicken parmesan. The meatballs were packed with flavor and incredibly juicy, while the chicken parmesan was lightly crispy on the outside, topped with gooey melted cheese and a sweet, tangy tomato sauce. It was made to perfection, and I would definitely go back again.
