Hubby & I had dinner here dinner here last night. Every time we come down here we go to Al Capone's. Hubby got a beer & I got a Sangria. Both were very good. We ordered the bread sticks since I didn't read my previous review. They were better with the marinara. Hubby got a pizza so we could h leftovers to take. He ordered a large with sausage, mushrooms, pepperoni & onion. It was good. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. The pieces of bread that came was simple, but so good. The Alfredo was excellent! The best I have ever had! Service was good. Our server was friendly & accommodating. We were shocked it was not overly busy. Dined: 7/10/25: Came to get a reset from all the delicious Mexican food I've had for the week. Ordered wings & the 12" Hudson pizza minus the tomatoes & added pepperoni. The pizza was larger than the baking sheet! It was way more than enough for the 2 of us. The wings were tiny but they are sold by weight so they gave us several. They weren't fried hard as I ordered them but they were still good. I'm not a fan of ranch but their in-house ranch was REALLY tasty. They have a variety of food from pastas, to sandwiches to pizza. Only have left reviews a few times on yelp, never want to hurt a business, but with it being an empty restaurant on a Wednesday understandably you would think the initial service would be faster. But we waited about 8 mins before being addressed. We saw a good selection of beer and were excited that they had this variety available. We received the beer and ALL were flat. We let our waiter know & he said "that the beers are supposed to taste that way". I drink craft beer often, and I know how certain beers should taste. We all have the same reaction right away. We asked for bottled beers and they still charged us for the beers we didn't drink that were flat. Other than that the food was really great!!! That's the silver lining. But we are very disappointed with having to pay for beers that were obviously flat & that we didn't drink. The gas lighting was real & it left us with a bad taste in our mouth. read more

We ordered Clams and grilled fish tacos. It was a Monday so the clams had already lost some size inside the shell but they were otherwise fresh. Just small. I would skip this here especially since the best part of this dish is the garlicky broth at the bottom of the pot but you have nothing to soak it up with. Next time I'll order some garlic bread or something. The fish tacos were also underwhelming as they lacked flavor even with some salsa added. The fish had no grill marks and was presented naked in a room temp corn tortilla. Pass on that. Instead, order what our friends did! Ravioli, calzone and pizza. Dropped in on a Wednesday night and sat at the bar with my wife. Ordered a Greek Salad which was very large. Great to split. Also ordered a Calzone and added sausage. Very tasty and well cooked. We went to AC on a Thursday night while an NFL game, Buccaneers v. Falcons, was on. The volume from the 9 TVs was LOUD. The service was adequate. And our two entrees were fantastic and meh We ordered the Fish and Chips $$14) , Blue Crab Ravioli ($20) and two soft drinks. Did I mention the volume was LOUD? The former entree had very good Wedge Fries and so-so Fried Fish. The Blue Crab Ravioli was excellent and plentiful. We didn't have an individual server, but a group of different people for our service. The service was fairly prompt and helpful over the LOUD game that was on. Our tab was $40 before tip. The restaurant is one of the few restaurants in Peñasco open late on non-peak weekdays, fyi. We'll be back on a quieter night. I'd have that ravioli again in a heartbeat. read more

The service was soooooo slow. The food was not great. Barely seasoned and the pizza was junk. We ordered the Alfredo which was good, a couple burgers, a dish plate, and pizza. The pasta was the best... sweet potatoe fries were the worst I've ever had. The fish was good but it came with a very meager amount of rice and the veggies were not even seasoned. The food was very mid- significantly overpriced especially considering the portions. The pizza was fair priced but was not impressive as far as taste. The clams were well portioned and a good deal and tasty. The vampiros were good and a fair price. The spaghetti was very meh... and in my opinion not worth it. We only ordered soft drinks so I cannot comment on drinks. The positives were- it was a very close commute to los Conchas. The were local musicians who randomly came in to sing and serenade via guitar one was very talented in particular and really livened up the atmosphere with some cultural classics as well as American favorites. The restaurant is clean and not too far from the main road. Now the negatives- Service was the biggest disappointment of all the we were in a group of 7, and the appetizers of just chips and salsa took 40 minutes to bring out. The only other patrons besides my party was a family of 4 and 2 gentlemen at the bar. This place offers 1 "children's meal" which is also just a half portion of spaghetti. For some reason I expected this restaurant to pay some homage to Al Capone- but all that I noticed besides the name was a near life size statue outside. I'm not sure if I would give this place a second chance, and definitely would not if I didn't have at least 2.5 hours to devote to being there. read more

I'll start with the positive: beer and pizza were good! Service was lackluster at best. Possibly due to several larger groups. My biggest issue: menu prices are in American dollars but we were charged in pesos and the conversion rate was off. Signage states 20x1. Without giving a complicated math lesson, our bill was about 20% more than it should have been so about $15 for our tab. read more

The food was, I wouldn't say terrible, but that was what it was. We ordered fried Avacado which was ok. Our main order was jumbo clams in a wine/ garlic sauce. It was terrible. It had no taste. This place is a Peñasco standard. They serve great seafood which is something that I look forward to when visiting Peñasco. My favorite items to order here are pulpo and tacos de Cameron. The staff is quick and can accommodate large groups. They also speak English for the grin his that don't speak Spanish. We stopped in on Sat evening .. we were seated after a short 10 min wait but we were warned food would take an hour because they were busy Our server took our food and drinks order, we had clams & voodoo shrimp to start.. both were good choices. Drinks and appetizers came quickly Food started arriving (pizzas first) and when most of the food was out i told the waiter we were waiting on two orders.. he came back with one and I told the food runner we were still waiting on one fish & chips.. I waited and waited for my food.. we didn't see another waiter until everyone was finished eating .. We flagged down a waiter and told him I still had not received my fish & chips .. about 5 min later a food runner brought my food mumbled a quick sorry here's your food .. our table of 10 then waited around so I could eat. Awkward .. The fish & chips was delicious.. lightly fried, big serving size, everyone was pleased with their choices... the waiter then dropped off the check and left again. Maybe teach the owner how to respect the client's? I was there with my family last night. I asked a local guy to meet me there to sing for us. The owner asked him to get on the stage after I personally paid for the guy to sing to us. When the guy refused to get on the stage the owner was not pleasant. One as the owner of a restaurant you do what you can to make the customer happy. But not this man. When I noticed how drunk the owner was and tooting his horn. We left and don't plan on coming back. ** BE AWARE ** watch your bill and how much they charge you.. We were there yesterday, group of 16 ppl. Food was below average with US prices. Expensive for the quality and service received. Our bill was about $400 US dollars but we found out they were charged $470. They claim that price is cash but when you pay with CC then bank and conversion fee adds up. Never head that. read more

If you happen to make it to Puerto Penasco Mexico. You have to stop by and check out this restaurant. It's a little dark on the inside but the people there are so nice and friendly they definitely bring the light in. It has an old school feel to it, but the menu has somethings you may have not thought about like shrimp dogs.. not corn dogs , shrimp dogs and it totally works! They do have a nice sized patio to eat, enjoy cocktails and people watch while listening to music. We ordered cosmos and margaritas- I would stick with the margaritas they were really good. Very nice pizzeria. Has a bar, but we are not drinkers so did not venture. The place smelled of oranges as they were squeezing oranges for their new wine specials. The pizza was very tasty . We ordered a large cheese for four people to eat together. The size of the pizza was almost an XL for US sizes. Great ambience, Their photo gallery is a must see. read more

Great restaurant that serves both seafood and Italian food. My hubby ordered the 7 pound bucket of steamed clams that comes with a smaller bucket of a wine broth. He totally enjoyed every bite and said that they were not gritty at all. I had the World Famous fish tacos with a panko breading and a great sauce. The customer service was horrible. We ordered the wings and a pepperoni pizza. The pizza was great, cooked perfectly. The wings came out cold to the touch. We told the waiter who took them to the back and within 5 minutes came back with another set. The wings were no longer cold but were not crispy at all they were soggy and chewy. We did not bother to eat them or touch them. The waiter didn't check on us once until we were finished with our pizza. Almost the entire time he was on his phone. After we finished we told the waiter the wings were not good and they weren't crispy. We told him we did not want them and he put them in a to go box for us. After telling him again we didn't want them he gave us the bill. We were charged for the wings and I asked if he could remove them since they were not eaten and told they were bad. He said he couldn't so I asked for the manager. The manager did not care that the wings were bad and would not remove the charge. She stated that she personally saw the wings and they were up to the restaurants quality and that she could not take off the charge. I told her wings are supposed to be crispy not soggy and she said that if a customer wants crispy wings they need to request that and the restaurant does not make their wings crispy. We paid the bill and left. I would not recommend eating here if you do get it to go and only get the pizza! read more

It's unfortunate that I'm wasting my time even writing this. I normally do not do this but after what my husband and I just experienced, I feel I need to. My husband is very upset right now and we have every right to be. We own a condo down here and visit all the local restaurants frequently. Tonight we decided to go to Capone's for dinner. We love the cedar plank grouper. I'm only giving a one star because the food is good. We've seen the service go downhill. Tonight was a total slap in the face and we felt completely disrespected. We arrived and we sat at the bar. The bartender was filling some beers at the taps and did not even acknowledge us. We waiting for over 10 minutes. My husband said let's go somewhere else. We got up and left. As we were out on the street heading towards our car, one of the waiters chased us down and accused us of not paying our bill! We told him that we were not even waited on. After this my husband decided to go back in and explain. When he did they apologized and told us the first round was on them and encouraged us to stay, apologizing. We are just here to chill and enjoy life and joked it off and stayed and had dinner. Our salad came out and the red onions and olives were not removed, as ordered. No biggie but it took forever, and asking, if the salad was coming back out. It came out and was delicious. Dinner was delicious as well. We joked around with the bartenders and made light of the situation. We finished our meal and tipped the bartenders greater than 20% as we are very understanding people. He covered our first two drinks only. What happened next was unbelievable. After all that, and after the bartender picked up the check and tip, he made a comment that " you should be more patient next time!" We left so upset, wishing we could take the tip back. We have never been treated so disrespectfully down here. This bartender should be let go. read more

Might as well stay in Phoenix at these prices. 8 bucks for a shot of tequila. On top of it they are running a real dishonest racket with the exchange rates so check your bank statements. Right now the actual exchange rate is 16MXP/USD. The sign on the bar states that their rate is 20/1. One could be forgiven for thinking that this is actually a good deal for the customer. However the menu is in dollars. So for example the tequila is $8. BUT they charge 160 pesos on the bill. So your bank charges you the real exchange rate and you will see $10 on your bill. So you are actually charged about 20% higher than what is shown on the menu. read more

The live music was great and the food was really good. However the service was absolutely horrible. Almost like they were trying to suck. All the other tables around us were constantly having to flag lazy servers down. May be a management thing as there were other issues such as running out of 8 or 9 main ingredients. This used to be a must when we brought people down new to Rocky Point. Somebody tell these owners service dictates the experience. You don't bring out half the tables food and the other half 5 minutes later. I don't want to have to ask for the same condiment 3 times. Or water. Or teach them how to handle a kids table. read more

Don't no where to start to be honest. Have been going here for quite awhile, but the service had slowly declined. Went into the restaurant, sat at the bar...waited 10 minutes with zero acknowledgment...decided to leave...as we walked out they accused us of not paying our bill. Told them that's ridiculous as we weren't even waited on. Then decided I needed to go back and tell them how I felt. They told me they were sorry it was a misunderstanding and then they would como us drinks. I told them no bother, we come here all the time...just upset this went down. We joked and had dinner...slow as hell I might add...as this place has become. The food is good as always, but the crew is getting worse. Owners should train these guys... So we paid our bill, 20+ % and as we paid our bill the bar tender said hahe more patience next time...that is it! These guys are idiots! Done with them. I just go to these places to hand fun and spend my money. Never going there again! These bartenders are arrogant and idiots! I come to Rocky Point every other weekend and I'm never going back here. Food is great, but the bartenders that been here forever besides 1 are so unpleasant . They have a stick up there A** so rude. 1 male 1 short female!!! I try to avoid the bar just so I don't get service from them. They shouldn't be working here in such a wonderful place if they can't be pleasant to everyone. I get there are regulars and people who come here and there like us. But come on be pleasant and welcoming. Waiters and waitresses are very nice especially Ivan he was a pleasant young man. Husband and I visited Al Capone's today during our extended stay in RP. I ordered the small cheese, pepperoni and mushroom. Hubs ordered the Penasco special (pineapple, jalapeño and ham). Both had great flavor, crunchy crust and plentiful toppings. The BEST part of our meal was the wings. We got the Honey Habanero wings (they sell by 1/2 lb and 1 lb). The 1/2 lb came with 14 wings! Mind you they're on the small side but I actually appreciated that. Service from Cindy was incredible and everyone there was super friendly. It's easy to get to and find, parking is off street and the ambiance is exactly what you expect with a restaurant called "Al Capone's". We will definitely return and have already recommended it to fellow RP visitors! read more
