I called all the machine shops in Austin…read moreand San Antonio as well as brought my cylinder head to two different machine shops to see if they could fix my 2012 L322 5.0 Supercharged Range Rover AJ133 engine valve seat that had come loose. Precision Engine Service was my last hope. Dennis reviewed the cylinder head in person and after looking at and pausing for what seemed like 5 minutes, he said he would do it. He was the only one that said he could fix it and he did it at a reasonable price. If it weren't for Dennis, I would have had to purchase a new cylinder head which is both costly and time consuming to make sure that it is machined to match the cylinder block mating surfaces. Even a used cylinder head would have been much more costly and time consuming. I'm a lifelong customer and have great respect for Dennis and his team who are true artisans of their craft.

I showed them the photo I brought in, the photo from the Ranch Hand website which was on the flyer in their show room. The older lady in the office proceeded to tell me that despite the fact the brochure which was right in front of her show differently that I was wrong. It has little to do with the bumper, quality or even how it was installed. It is 100% to do with the attitude of the staff, the lack of attention to detail Or willingness to admit they ordered the wrong part. To top it off they couldn't even figure out what the balance correctly. In the end it was a five dollar difference, but I was willing to pay it to leave and not have to deal with the worst customer service I've had in a while. You really have to want the bumper and have no other options to use Spillar. Make sure you get everything in writing, keep your paperwork, and dot the I's and cross the T's. No matter what, don't expect them to apologize if they screw up. Prologue: After reviewing the paperwork I realized they had even written it down, the way we had discussed it. I confronted them with this and told them they needed to make it right. It's hard to be a small business and turn a profit, I of all people understand that. An apology would've gone along way, a few hundred dollars discounted drastically changes my attitude. I have much higher hopes going into this

David did an amazing job on delivering the custom made van that is taking me around the USA. I have…read moreto admit I am not the easiest person to work with and I did throw in some last minute changes. I required 2 beds a 8.1 cubic foot refrigerator and a shower. Now how do you fit all that in a Promaster 2500. He did it and we are having a blast. Comparing my build to others as I travel I can tell you David does quality work. There are a few things I would change. Go for the more expensive Victron monitor so that you can control it from your phone. Also make sure you get a diagram of those fuses. If you want to do more boondocking go for 3 batteries and hope for sunshine. Life is short so just do It and trust David. He knows what he's doing. You can definitely tell he has tons of experience working on tops. Scheduling was easy, and I was in the shop in just a few days. I bought the top online and brought it with me. It's a bit out of the way for a central Austin person, but most body shops are way North anyway. I would consider riding the express bus next time after dropping the car. Overall I'm super happy.
