The people here are FANTASTIC! From making an appointment, to check in procedure, to wait time, to actual procedure everyone is professional, efficient and thorough. I can't say enough great things about them. They also have offices in Palm Coast, Port Orange and Deltona. I moved to Jacksonville in April and when it came time for my mammogram I researched everywhere in Jacksonville on my insurance plan. When it came right down to it I decided to make the trip to St Augustine. I based this decision on reviews I read regarding Jacksonville facilities, I knew Radiology Associates Imaging of St Augustine would do the best job for me, that they would take less time to check in, and that the technicians and radiologists were exemplary in the work they would do. They also have a state-of-the art 3D Mammography. Makes the whole process a dream! They are definitely "worth the trip"!

Definitely don't plan this during your lunch break unless you're prepared to be gone much longer than expected. If your doctor refers you there, I would strongly encourage you to ask for another option. There are other imaging centers that respect appointment times and their patients' schedules. This was an extremely frustrating experience and a clear disregard for people's time.

The front staff and techs all have taken care of me like no other. Kayla, Emily (both Emily's), and Lisa are all so friendly, warm, understanding and always puts the patients first. The facility is always super clean, modern, and upon walking in, I feel at ease. I always get super anxious doing my MRIs and everyone here makes you feel so comfortable and always attend to all of your needs. I feel super happy every time I leave the facility. My appointments are always on time. If you miss your appointment or late, they try their best to work with you and your schedule. Sometimes, there might be a wait (mostly my fault for being tardy lol) but it doesn't bother me at all. I understand as I've been to many appointments to treat my tumefactive multiple sclerosis, that sometimes especially in medical settings, the doctor, tech, nurse, etc. can run behind due to treating another patient, other issues, etc. And that's okay, it happens and you roll with it. At the end of the day, you want a facility that genuinely cares about you and here, they do. Speaking for myself but I've never had a problem with them answering the phones or receiving my reports. They've always came in pretty quick and all I need to do is send them an email to request them or pick up a CD. I plan to come here for as along as they have me! However the ladies in the front were nice but not informative with my insurance. I came here precisely because my HMO told me to since it was in network. My case worker told me it would be a certain price and when I got here I paid another. So my husband mentioned it to the lady in the front desk and she said she'll look into it. She did and before I left she told us we were right! Imagine if I didn't pay attention I would've gotten ripped off. She mentioned I'll get reimbursed.

I…read morewas a little annoyed that they scheduled her appointment on the other side of the downtown area when I saw there was an office on Southside which is where we live. So instead of a 4-mile drive in traffic, it was a 12 mile drive in traffic. However, this does not take away from their 5-Star rating because it wasn't the fault of Optimal Imaging. In addition, driving in Jacksonville traffic is no where near as bad as driving in D.C. traffic! The parking area is small and when we arrived there were only three spaces available, I took one and an elderly lady took two! Lol. I'm laughing now but if it were me looking for that last parking space, I would have been livid because now I would have to find street parking. :-/ When we walked in I heard the front desk person tell someone that they were cutting down trees in the back so the parking was limited today. The lobby is very clean and they have a free coffee machine area. They have both light and bold coffee options as well as green tea pods. They even have flavored creamer. Nice! And something I don't often see in the lobby of a "medical-type" facility is a Coca-Cola frig with of course, Coke products and Dasani bottled water, all for free. They also have separate Women and Men bathroom. The front desk personnel was very friendly, professional and checked us in immediately. As soon as we finished filling out the paperwork they called my mom to the back for her MRI.

All of my appointments have been in the afternoon, and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes. They stay on schedule and on time. The people downstairs who check you in have always been friendly and all smiles. They make me feel very comfortable. Every tech for every procedure has been professional while still being friendly at the same time. Again, I've always been made to feel very comfortable. The techs are very knowledgeable and explain everything they are doing. They are more than willing to answer any and all questions you may have. My most recent visit was just last week for an MRI. My doctor originally wrote my orders to go somewhere else, but I asked him to please rewrite the orders for Baptist Imaging and he gladly did so. I just can't see myself going anywhere other than here for any type of diagnostic imaging unless I have a doctor who absolutely insists I go somewhere else. In addition to the entire staff here being nothing less than wonderful, it's very clean with a welcoming environment and nice decor.

I have my mom with me who is complaining of pain on her left side. I brought her here because her insurance said this was an in network provider. We were told the wait would be about 45 minutes which turned out to be closer to two hours. The delay in care truly wasn't the issue . My main issue was when we went back, the provider did not even attempt to examine my mom and said to us she didn't know what the pain was. Maybe it's arthritis. She said maybe she can just take some ibuprofen or Tylenol and ended the appointment abruptly saying we were done. This provider didn't even touch my mom and on top of that she recommended a drug that would interact with the blood thinner she is currently on. Honestly, I will not be coming back to this establishment, and hope Baptist pays attention to these reviews and address the continuity of care this place is giving.

Big mistake I should have just waited until I got there to start drinking water because it took over an hour for them to call me back and my stomach was hurting so bad from holding my pee. I wanted to leave and come back later in the day but the girl told me it shouldn't take much longer just wait a sec but when you have to go you to go. I was sitting in my seat just shaking trying my best to continue to hold it but at this point I've been holding it an hour + ... so I would just say if you're going for a drug test do no show up already ready to pee because it'll be a while.
