The ladies at front counter are kind and helpful but the scheduling is awful. First once you schedule expect several texts and phone calls demanding you confirm, reconfirm and rinse and repeat. They are very inexpensive and it appears they have a high demand. But be prepared to spend a couple hours waiting for your imaging. It truly is ridiculous. Wow! The registration process for getting ANY test done gives new meaning to lack of continuous improvement. Lady at the front desk (always) moves like we are all being compensated for sitting here. Going on an hour post signing in and I've yet to be given the paperwork I'm certain they will want filled out. Why? Patients can be completing them while they sit around idling waiting. I had to have several ultrasounds and several CT scans of my right shoulder, lower back and hip and pelvic area. They were very professional. They got all 34 of my imaging done at the same time. I was there maybe 2 1/2 hours roughly, but it would've been 4 1/2 hours so I appreciate dear professor, ism and promptness and quality of care. This was my first (and last) visit to this place. I was kept waiting an hour for a 5-minute X-ray. This was after spending 16 minutes on the phone with a reservation clerk because their web site was not working properly. I've been to Akumin on Fort Caroline numerous times over the years. Yesterday I had a brain MRI. (No known brain issues, but a follow up to my breast cancer diagnosis in 2020). I am claustrophobic, so the thought of being "trapped" in a tube for any length of time does not excite me! From the moment I walked in, the front desk employee made me feel very comfortable. I did have a bit longer wait then I expected, but I've experienced much longer waits elsewhere. I noticed a sign on the wall indicating that the facility was undergoing some remodeling. That is good news! This Akumin facility is a little dated. Some paint is peeling. Everything seems to be clean, but when things are a little dingy and older, it can make the offices and rooms appear to be dirty. A friendly technician greeted me and led me back to the MRI area. She explained what was going to happen. If you've never had an MRI of your head - well, you lay down on a table with your head in a cage- like apparatus...then the machine slides you into a narrow tube, where you stay for about 45 minutes, while magnets produce a lot of loud noise! I just closed my eyes and actually almost fell asleep. Before I knew it, the MRI was done. I credit the kind employees with helping me feel less anxious about the whole process. I don't know if it's part of the renovation or not, but the ladies restroom did not have a toilet paper holder...just a roll of toilet paper sitting out. To me, that just doesn't feel very sanitary. Also, there was no hook to hang my purse. I would say about 65% of restrooms in all types of facilities do not have a hook. I am very happy when I find one that does have a hook! It's a small thing that makes a big difference. Where do you place your purse if there's no hook? The choices are not pretty. I would've given 5 stars if there was a TP holder and a hook. At our first visit, they called us setting that appointment 1 week before, but when we showed up they told us our insurance approval is still pending!!! so we had to reschedule and follow up with insurance ourselves until got another appointment 3 weeks later! At the sec d appointment, they let us wait for 50 minutes before we had to ask what's going on!? them they immediately let my an on for his MRI! X-Ray, never again! They do not tell you when you make an appointment that there is no X ray tech. I had an appointment at 1:15 PM scheduled and I was not seen until 2:30 PM after I complained. Someone other then a X ray tech did my X rays. Pray they did turn out, I do not know. Do not go there, if you value your time and wish to be respected. read more

Akumin Arlington consistently over-bills patients 15-20% of your tests. They have admitted to doing this to me, a Medicare patient 3 times in 2021 alone. This location's Patient Acctg Dept will not answer the phone or return calls when they realize THEY owe YOU money. Medicare over billing is illegal and Akumin paid a fine for it in Jan 2021. Medicare Billing Compliance Dept anyone? BBB is next step along with a Medicare complaint about Akumin's billing practices. read more

I went to my appointment early morning and I don't live in the area. When I got there one of the receptionist asked me why I was there after singing the check-in list. Well I told her I had an appointment. She looked at her computer screen and said the technician called out early morning and the lady who was sitting next to her ( another receptionist) had called me and left a voicemail. I went to my log calls to re check and telling her I didn't had a call at all or voicemail. She checked on her file to see if they had the correct number because I know they do have my number. They had called me before numerous of times The old lady receptionist kept fighting back to tell me she did called and left voicemail. At that point it didn't really matter because what was done, it was done. She called someone else file number and left a voicemail. They had waste my time, my gas. The waiting room was dirty and smell like ashtray. Go figure! A place where they do different type of exams smells bad. Of course I'm not coming back, I canceled the reschedule appointment. read more

No one likes to go in first thing in the morning to medical facilities, and especially not to get X-ray'ed. Phone appointment specialist said I can walk-in, but I asked for an appointment over the phone, and got one the next day. Gotta love the availability. Got there a little earlier, staff was very welcoming and professional. Checked me in, waited a little bit, then got out of there in 20 mins. Total visit time = 30 mins. Pretty doable, and very pleased. read more

Good morning, on 12/17/2018 my husband went to get an MRI and wasn't going to be able to because of different problems that arose, however, the director and his staff worked very hard to get all the necessary information to get it done, they went above and beyond and I was very impressed with the professionalism and caring that they showed, I will continue to go there when necessary. read more

Over an hour for simple X-ray. Appointment at 10:30. X-ray wasn't even taken until 11:15. Incredibly slow. Should have been in and out in 15 minutes. If you've got a life and things to do, go elsewhere. read more

I would do 5 stars on the staff and speed at which they get you in for your appointment. The problem is the machines are older and take forever, not the most comfortable. I do use them because of the staff but if you are looking for a comfortable MRI that doesn't take 45 minutes, go elsewhere. If they ever update their machines, 6 stars read more

My experience at Elite Imaging was terrible. For starters they made me wait 3 hours past my appointment time due to "emergencies", however the staff promptly took their lunch breaks while myself and numerous other people had to wait for them. Then I was billed for services that I cannot confirm were performed and certainly not ordered by my physician. I had to fight 3 months with the billing department to get this resolved. Their billing department is a joke, the people were not professional and NEVER responded to my requests to have my claim reviewed. I had to get my insurance company involved and threaten them with reporting to AHCA to get any attention. I will never use their organization ever again. read more

dr sent me there to have some x rays at this place, when i got there the lady at the front desk was very attentive, ask me for my insurance card and told me i needed to pay $139.05, i believed i was paying that amount because my deductible was not cover yet for the year, when i found out 6 months later that this services was never sent to my insurance i went there to see what was going on. they sent me back and forward from one place to another, the doctors office called them and the same lady at the front desk said that she remembers me "after 6 months" and that she told me they did not accept my insurance,that i was going to be self-pay and that she gave me options of some other places that take my insurance. why should i paid that money if she gave me other places to go to as an option, i think that is why people have insurance, to go to places who take them right? not happy at all about the lies this lady was saying just to cover her mistakes that cost me 139.00 dollars. she was very nervous talking to me at the moment and just gave me a number to call for any complaint. i am not a rude person and i always try to avoid conflict. finally i decided not to go further on this because she probably will lose her job. i just wanted to write this review to warn you of the problems you can find there. read more

My experience getting an MRI at Elite Imaging in Arlington was fine. The appointment was relatively on time, the staff were friendly, and they even gave me the CD with images from my MRI before I left. I did have to go back a few days later to pick up the report. My only complaint is that when you call to make an appointment, your call is outsourced to a service overseas. It would be more convenient if I could speak with someone at the Arlington location, or at least in Jacksonville, to set up an appointment. read more

Finally i got in, the other pation said she was waiting one hrs and they took another pation behind us who came later than us. I asked "How long I need to wait?" The worker yelled me. "We are working all day long. Each pation take certin time." They should schedule according how much they can handle. Very unprofessional.
