And this was a BIG COUCH, all natural materials (heavy wood), with a row of three seats as one side and a chaise lounger as the other. He was extremely careful the entire time. When I told the guys they should be helping him, they met up with him at the top of the stairs and he was able to communicate effectively with them (all non-native English speakers he'd never met before) to tell them how to move the gigantic thing through the hallways without hitting any of the wall sconces. I was very impressed. Throughout our entire engagement, Dan was extremely courteous even though I couldn't quite commit to a certain time due to my sporadic communications with the seller of the couch. He was a very good person and happy to help us out. Evidently, the couch seller was impressed, too--she later told me she was considering hiring him herself for a future move.

My experience with this company was extremely stressful, disappointing, and anything but hassle-free. I hired this company specifically because I wanted a smooth, stress-free moving experience. Unfortunately, that is not what I received. Immediately after getting off the phone with Anthony regarding the moving quote, he began pressuring me to pay the $200 deposit. I explained that I would submit the deposit once I had finished my work meeting. Despite communicating that clearly, he continued texting my phone about the payment. I found this pushy and unnecessary, especially considering I had already told him I intended to pay. Looking back, this should have been my first red flag. I live in an 800-square-foot, one-bedroom apartment with two TVs, one queen-size bed, and a vanity. Before the movers arrived, I had already packed up my bathroom and laundry room. I expected the move to take approximately 3-4 hours, with the movers only needing to pack the kitchen, bedroom shoes, and clothing. Instead, it took SEVEN HOURS before we even left my original apartment, despite the new apartment being only five minutes away. Anthony specifically told me that the movers would unmount my TVs and their wall mounts. However, they showed up without the necessary tools to complete that service. I also specifically asked Anthony whether the move was going to take eight hours because, if that were the case, I did not want to continue with the move. Unfortunately, my concerns were not addressed, and the experience continued. The entire move ended up taking approximately nine hours. During the move into my new apartment, the movers also put a hole in my wall, and my rugs were left filthy. These are additional problems I now have to deal with after paying for what was supposed to be a professional moving service. I do want to acknowledge Irving, who was the only person I can honestly say was consistently working hard. He deserves recognition for his effort, and I appreciate the work he put in. However, that does not excuse the overall experience or the company's failure to deliver the services promised. After everything, I was told I owed $1,600 on top of the $200 deposit I had already paid. For the excessive time, inconvenience, unfinished work, multiple belongings left behind at my old apartment, and TVs that were never unmounted as promised, I was offered only a 5% discount. To make matters worse, the moving crew remained outside my home waiting for payment until I rendered it. I felt pressured to pay for a service that had not been completed as agreed. I am now out $1,100 and still have an incomplete move. I have to hire another company to finish what I originally paid this company to do. This was supposed to be a hassle-free moving experience, but instead it turned into an exhausting, expensive nightmare. Between the pressure to pay the deposit, excessive moving time, unexpected charges, failure to deliver promised services, damage to my new apartment, dirty rugs, belongings left behind, and pressure surrounding final payment, this experience was completely unacceptable. If you are considering hiring this company, please get EVERYTHING in writing, including estimated hours, hourly rates, additional fees, and exactly what services are included. I would especially encourage women moving alone to have someone present throughout the entire process. I hired professionals to make my move easier. A few random boxes and other items were in the bedrooms but nothing was out where I asked. Not a big deal I'll handle it I'm just happy they moved everything for me. Let's back up a little, I mentioned the truck would be to small and of course it was they mentioned they would have to go back to do a second trip I said ok no problem. We go to put up our tvs and every single tv is missing the screws that connect the tv to the wall mounts not the screws that go into the wall but the screws that mount the tv to the mounts, EVERY SINGLE ONE! Then my main living room tv remote is gone it was in the side table next to the couch and now it's gone and I have to buy a new one. I'm not terribly mad but it's just annoying, I know they work hard and it's not an easy job but I've never had to go back myself to get the "rest" or had things missing. Again I appreciate the movers and tipped them still but I probably won't be using them again. This move felt like more of a headache than a smooth transition like the past moves we've done. I tried to reach out to let them know and it just seems like they were more worried about stating they should have charged me more than trying to fix the problems. They purchased my contract from Royal Moving, did not contact me, tried to push my move date back and then showed up an entire day late and charged me an extra $1000 saying I had almost double what I inventoried in my original contract, despite the measurements I provided to the company who wrote my contract. They did not offer any compensation for their late driver and tried to tell me I was lucky they were driving directly to my destination because they could have taken up to 21 days, even though I will now be without my things for multiple extra days.
