I bought a 40th birthday present for a friend and it was looking a little bare. My friend's really into cigars. He has a backpack full of cigars, a really nice lighter, and a cigar cutter. He'd take this backpack everywhere he went to share his cigars with friends, including my husband. Every time they would light up, they'd always have to create a makeshift ashtray and try to find a place to lay their lit cigars. We have used AKD Ink for a variety of reasons over the last couple of years, and they have truly come through for us in a jiffy. We regularly need promo clothing and materials for trade shows, retreats, and holiday gifts, and we love that AKD Ink is so local to us and so efficient. Sometimes, we have last-minute requests and orders -- and AKD Ink helps us make them happen. I believe we have only worked through Chris at AKD Ink. He is so patient and accommodating. I was frantic to get some business cards made on literally no notice, and he was honest and upfront about why it couldn't be done. Instead, he proposed an alternative solution. I ultimately had a different version of the cards made along with the original ones, and he was able to have the time-sensitive cards delivered well ahead of deadline. Much, much appreciated. If you're taking in a sample, they will tell you if they can't guarantee the work. We've asked to have samples printed on before, and they haven't always been successful. Not their fault -- not everything is made of the right material. In terms of pricing, we've price-checked a number of printers. AKD Ink isn't always the cheapest option, but he's certainly one of the more reasonable and most reliable ones. read more

I've used them twice, just to put lettering on one shirt. Both times, they promised to email me the proof the following week and didn't. When I emailed them asking where the proof was, it instantly appeared in my inbox. Then I never hear from them until, when I have lost patience and email them asking when my shirt will be ready, it suddenly is instantly ready. Like they don't start work until I've lost patience and bug them and only then do they start the work. Walked in the door to see a small child playing at the register- and no one else. Ok- so it's a family ruin biz. I stand around waiting for something to happen. After getting bored waiting I yell "hello". A voice in the distance said "be with you in a minute". After a few more minutes I walked out mad. Never saw anyone except the kid. Sadly, they couldn't be bothered with my business. After this review they tried to make it right by offering a free shirt. I'd given a lower star rating but after some attempt on their part I'll modify some. I had no luck with them.. but maybe it was an off day. read more

I took a pen for engraving after I talked to the owner and was assured that they know how to do it. It took them 3 days and after I picked up the pen, the engraving is completely unreadable and scribly. I paid $450.00 for the MontBlanc pen and now it is ruined. I called to let them know about it and all they said was that they are sorry. I will not go there again and definitely will tell everyone about my horrible experiense read more
