We had just got our Santa Fe washed at Speedwash on Roscoe near Tompanga and realized we wanted new wipers. Yes, I suppose buying windscreen wipers AFTER the heavy rains of Winter may be futile, but I believe in Spring showers so....fingers crossed! Rather than hitting the chain auto part shops in this area, I decided to try CQ Auto Parts. I love a local spot and this one is a gem. Pretty quiet this morning, but Simon was there to greet us and inquire as to what brought us in this day. Since I couldn't remember the wiper sizes - Note to self: Note this! - he looked it up. As I found out last year, when you double check the size, one(the smaller passenger side wiper) is listed as 13" on some sites and 14" on others. We went with the 13", made our purchase, chatted a bit more with Simon about "signs o' the times", etc, then made our way out. I double checked the size we put on last year, remembering we went back and forth a couple of times with the smaller wiper, before we drove away. Simon noticed this from inside the shop and came out to lend assistance, thinking we were installing them. I showed him the wiper and mentioned how frustrating it was that the smaller wiper seems to be the challenge, but he agreed, the smaller wiper currently on the vehicle looked like a 15". So he went inside, grabbed a 15", returned, compared then exchanged the 13" wiper I had purchased. He asked if we would like him to put them on, but we declined and thanked him before departing the curb. I would definitely come back to CQ Auto Parts for my next parts purchase and I hope they're still here when I need them. Cheers! "CC"

On Saturday July 25, approximately 4:00 pm, I entered C Q Auto Parts on Devonshire for a battery…read morereplacement/install for my 2007 Lexus GS350. The employee Simon selected what he said was the proper battery for my vehicle, and proceeded to install it on-site. He then made me pay for the battery before turning on my car "to let it charge", and so after paying and returning to my vehicle and starting the car, the electronics went haywire and some smoke seemed to appear under the hood. Simon was completely unhelpful at this point and recommended I call a tow truck, which I did. I brought the car to my reputable mechanic, Pro Automotive Repair Center, in Glendale, and was informed that the wrong type of battery was installed, and that it also was an old battery. I have proving documentation from the mechanic shop regarding this. The outcome for the incorrect install was my Lexus alternator being fried, with the total bill coming at approximately $950 (not including tow truck fees and subsequent rental car fees). Upon attempting to contact the shop to explain the situation and attempt to resolve this issue, Simon became rude on the phone and hung up on me, and refused to give me the owner's contact information. I had no choice but to request a police presence to monitor the situation while I visited in person to once again attempt resolution. Only with the police present did Simon agree to refund me the price of the battery, but he still refused to give me any contact information of the owner, and suggested I take it to court. This is what I have started to do, pursuing legal action, unless a fair resolution can be found to pay for the damages to my Lexus due to Simon's negligence by selling and installing the wrong part in my car.

Packaged in July of 2021 with a 32.73% THC count. CBD negligible at .06% but they put it on the label anyway. (Someday we'll know more about the medicinal value of all cannabinoids and terpenes. Bottom line: full spectrum works best.) On to the test: One puff and I switch from spa music to Dead and Co. Two puffs and I'm dancing around the kitchen. I don't know what else you need to know. The mood elevation is self-evident and I've forgotten whatever pain caused me to grab my glass bubbler in the first place. I'd give this little OG an A for Effect. Excellent workmanship. Silver King was able to recreate the tailpiece on my priceless 1901 Martin Mandolin. This involved removing the broken piece from an engraved silver plate, recreating the new piece and re-attaching EXACTLY like the original. No other company that I contacted was able to do this. I still really like the design so I decided to drop by this jewelry shop to resize it to my size. Came by around 5:30pm on a Friday, Jafar, opened the door for me using the buzzer while he also helped the other customer ahead of me. While the other customer was working on his stuff, Jafar came over to me to help me out. I showed him my ring and he brought out his ring sizes for me to test since I wasn't sure what exactly was my size since I'm used to adjustable ones. I went for a 5 since I didn't want to go too big or too loose, just enough to go over the middle and fit comfortably. He took my ring after we decided on the size but I didn't see where he put it, figured he had it organized somehow and then he quoted me $20 and told me it was going to be ready next day. I filled out a little form and he said he would text me as soon as it was ready. I waited all day the next day and was a little bummed I couldn't get it that next day but didn't worry too much. I figured I'd pick it up Sunday but didn't realize they were closed on Sundays. Still nothing Monday so I decided to text him around 1pm to see if I can pick up. First of all, he replied calling me Amanda and telling me I could pick up. I gave my name when I first texted so the typo was odd lol. Dropped by after work, same time around 5:30. He buzzed me in from his chair in the back, completely chilling and figured he had a slow day. I greeted him happily and gave him my receipt for him to find my order. I kid you not, he was digging through so many bins trying to find my ring. I was literally panicking like great, he lost my ring lol. He finally found it in a little baggy with the name "Kim" on it and someone else's number... how?!? He pulled out my ring and gave it to me to try on but dude, it literally still had the tag attached to it from when I purchased it meaning he didn't even touch it. I reminded him it was supposed to be sized down to a 5. He took the ring and admitted he completely forgot about it and to give him 10 minutes to adjust it. I was like okay lol. I waited and it took less than 10 minutes, thankfully. It had discoloration where he adjusted it, had a copper ish color to it but by that point I just wanted to leave. The ring fit just fine, still a tad loose but doable. Paid him the $20 and left. Honestly I was surprised he still charged me after that whole mess but I'll probably be finding a different jewelry shop next time I need my ring resized.. IG: @ammysalamii
