We were worried as it was late to start speech therapy as a teen, but it's never too late it turns out. Luckily we found Springboard Speech Therapy. It didn't take long for our son to show improvement, and he showed more confidence speaking up at school and is now even in the debate club which requires fast and clear talking. The progress was clear every week, and he got exercises to practice at home. Her approach is very scientific. I fully recommend whether your child is older or younger! It turns out she did have sensory processing disorder and she began going to the Kioko center regularly. It made a HUGE difference!!! My daughter is now 9 and is doing great! She also has PDD-NOS. She continues to see Tara from time to time (she gets OT at school as part of her IEP) and she just had a blast at Tara's summer day camp. Tara changed our life and she and her entire staff are amazing. The things they do at the Kioko center and at her camp make a huge difference.

Out of 40 or so sessions, 8 were cancelled within 24 hours. Given the importance of practice and repetition, we believe the behavior to be unprofessional and ultimately quite detrimental to our son. 2) Elizabeth does not have any operational support which means that she often had difficulty dealing with insurance companies(she was IN network). She often asked us to call the insurance company on her behest. I am sure for slight speech issues, Elizabeth would be fine. However, for more serious and longer term engagements, we recommend to look elsewhere.
