I called Priti (P-R-I-T-I) the receptionist at 1:00 PM to ask if the threading specialist I like was available. She told me yes, the specialist was available today and also tomorrow. I explained that I live an hour and a half away and specifically drive out for this particular service provider because she does great work. Priti said that was fine and told me there were no appointments scheduled, so I could come in anytime. At 2:35 PM, I called back to confirm that I would be coming and asked if there was an appointment available. She said they had an opening at 3:15 PM. I said that would work. She then abruptly hung up without taking my name or confirming anything. When I arrived and parked, I called back because I realized she had never taken my name to hold the 3:15 appointment. I had my seven-year-old daughter with me, who is sick, so I wanted to be sure the appointment was secured before bringing her inside. Priti told me she could not put my name down unless I physically came into the salon. I did not understand why my name could not simply be written down over the phone, especially since she was the one who hung up without confirming details. Then she started to say, show me your car .. I will come out to see you in your car so I know you are here. I got frustrated because why would I want anyone to see my car when I'm trying to give her my name for the appointment?! She said she doesn't believe me that I'm here and calling to put my name on the time, I was so confused! The situation escalated unnecessarily. Instead of resolving it professionally, she involved someone named Neil, who told me they would not service me and that I had to leave. For someone who drives 1.5-2 hours specifically for their services, this level of rudeness and lack of professionalism is unacceptable. Clear communication and basic courtesy would have prevented this entire situation. Unfortunately, due to the poor and dismissive customer service, I will not be returning. I will also report this to the business bureau.

Upon entering, there are hallways on the left and right packed with individual suites of different beauty-centric businesses. The space is so much bigger inside than I thought! There's a directory on the TV that showed me which suite A1 Eyebrow Threading is located in. The main front door is locked, so you call Sangita (eyebrow threading master and owner) to let you in. I initially called to asked if she accepted walk-ins or if it's appointment only, and since she offers a variety of services, it seemed making an appointment was the best way to accommodate both parties. She does accept walk-ins, though there is a chance you will be waiting a few minutes. I haven't threaded my eyebrows or upper lip in over a year (busy with a new baby), and Sangita brought my face back to life lol. She was very precise, thorough, and quick with her hands. I really appreciated the extra time she spent trimming my eyebrows and threading them a second time to make sure they were even. Okay, so I have had my upper lip threaded for nearly a decade. You typically stick your tongue behind your upper lip for easier threading access, and this is the first time I was asked to stick my tongue in every centimeter from left to right (in other businesses, I stick my tongue once to the left and once to the right...not so thorough). I hope this makes sense lol! Point is, she is super meticulous. And let me tell you...both services (eyebrows and upper lip) were $15 total. Total! Where have you been all my life?? For eyebrows I go to her every month and she's not just cleaning them up, she really shapes them in a way that fits you. Also if Simi isn't available, I still feel completely comfortable going to anyone there. I've gone to Kiran for eyebrows as well and trust all of them to do a good job. They also have really great facials which are definitely worth trying!!

Bless Threading is down the street from where I work, and my coworker comes here all the time on her lunch breaks. So, I was like why not? The waiting room is a good size with benches to wait your turn. I walked in and was unfamiliar with the process. I was greeted warmly, but wasn't given any direction on what to do. I saw that there was a signup sheet and I filled that out. It seemed like a popular place to go to because the waiting room was filled for a Tuesday afternoon. I didn't get my threader's name, but she was sweet! I asked her if she can try to match my left brow to my right brow. I know brows aren't identical twins, more so like distant cousins, but it would be nice for them to look like siblings at least. She took her time to match them up as much as she can. In all, I think I would go back! It's close enough to work where I could go quickly on my lunch break. They're decently priced. And they're efficient!

I'll continue to drive all the way out to Concord for my eyebrow threading services. The lady recommended I get a wax being that I only wanted to clean the area because I do have micro shading on my brows. When I walked out, I looked and there was still some hair that she did not clean up and missed. I didn't feel like going back because I was in a rush that day. For the price I paid I expected neat clean brows. I won't be going back.
