They have several locations and this was a first time visit to this location but it did not disappoint. Server was friendly and checked on us often. Portion size was good and restaurant definitely embraced the small town feel of Summerville. Would highly recommend any of the Thatcher's locations. We ordered the pull pork which was really good. My friend and I split an order of fried green tomatoes which were out of this world and fried pickles. The ice tea is true Southern Ice tea which is a must have for me. Highly recommend

For example they have a streak dinner with a very low budget, high fat steak, which is never served the way you requested it be cooked. But, they charge the same price at a mid ranking steakhouse like Longhorn or Texas Roadhouse. The quality is more like that of a Waffle House steak. The portions are also extremely small. It's absolutely robbing their customer. Candy the owner knows full well the quality is undeserving of the price she charges. It must be stated also that this is NOT a one off! The waitstaff is attentive and the owners are never too far away. The pizza is just fantastic! I've had the Godzilla, and the Chicken BBQ, and something with pineapples (which I really don't think belongs on pizza, but was really okay in this instance (paired well with the ham)). The crust is really good and high quality, wood fired pizza ovens add a little something extra. We always go with a party of 10 or more. We've sampled the salads, appetizers, and pasta dishes and everything has been really good. They also have an ice cream cooler and offer many different flavors by the cup or cone, and it's very good quality and a GREAT way to end a meal here.
