Curley's Coffee - A Hidden Gem in Southern Arizona…read more Tucked away along some dusty backroads and nestled in the corner of what feels like an old school building, Curley's Coffee isn't the easiest spot to stumble upon--but it's absolutely worth the effort. The journey itself adds a sense of adventure, and like all the best hidden gems, Curley's rewards the curious traveler. We stopped in on Easter Sunday, a day when most other places were closed, and were warmly welcomed with the scent of fresh coffee and baked goods. The front counter employee was bubbly and informative about their baked goods selection. We tried the maple coffee and a classic drip--both rich, smooth, and clearly brewed with care. The scone was buttery and perfectly crumbly, and the apple turnover was a standout: flaky, not overly sweet, and filled with just the right amount of spiced apples. The atmosphere is cozy, unpretentious, and full of small-town charm. Whether you're passing through or looking for a destination to seek out, Curley's Coffee is a delightful surprise in the quiet corners of southern Arizona.

I really like the potato wedges. As to their burgers they are very tasty. Their regular burgers are great, but I think their mushroom swiss burger. It is great. All of the burgers are good and you will be satisfied. You will also enjoy their onion rings. This is really not a cafe, it is more like a counter in a market. But it is great.

I had heard that the owner can be harsh, but I have no experience with that. I had 3 of the shrimp tacos. These are some of the best shrimp tacos I've ever had. First of all, the breaded shrimp were huge. I'm comparing them to Del Taco's shrimp, and these were double the meat per shrimp. The taste of the shrimp was delicious and not overly breaded or rubbery as can be the case when they are overcooked. The tortillas were cooked perfectly, with a bit of puff to them, and crispy enough so they didn't fall apart under the weight of the contents. The flavor of the tortilla was very good as well. The tacos came with a mix of lettuce, tomato, and sauce to compliment the shrimp. I am positively sure that I'll order these again when I'm in the area.
