I had no idea what to expect from Texas wine, but I was honestly pleasantly surprised. The day started at the Austin Visitor Center where we met with our tour guide and other guests. Then we hopped on our sprinter van and headed about 40 min outside of town to start our tour at Driftwood Winery. I really enjoyed the wines and we ended up purchasing a bottle to enjoy along the tour. Next, we went to Fall Creek Vineyards. This setting was beautiful, but I didn't love the wines as much. I did love that they had plenty of snacks so you could make your own charcuterie board. Snacks are a must when drinking wine all day. Last, we ended closer to the city in the St. Elmo District at Austin Winery. The tour is about $70 and then you pay for your wines at each stop. I had a fabulous time with our tour guide and tour mates. Would reccomend this if you're looking for a day excursion in Austin.

He was super responsive and able to get us in on the upcoming Saturday. The bus itself is really nice, great sound system. Rick and Erica texted us before we arrived to ask if we wanted an array of coffee from the coffee bar on board and we were greeted with our orders. We also had so many snacks and drinks available. One of the greatest things is that this isn't a preselected tour and you can go where you please during the allotted time. They even dropped us in town for dinner at the end of our time. My friends and I went on a wine tour for our friend's birthday party the first weekend in August…read moreand it was great! From the beginning stages of planning, Francesca, (the owner, planner, driver, etc.) worked her hardest to make sure the event was personalized for our group. Fran was also very quick with correspondence and letting me know important information and what she needed from me. We decided that the Wimberly/Dripping Springs tour was the best route for us since a lot of people had already been to Fredericksburg wineries. Fran picked us up at 9am in Round Rock (she'll work with you on your pick up/drop off site) and she drove us around in an air conditioned mini tour bus! Did I mention that the bus is BYOB?! We brought on our own ice chests and bags for snacks which was great for the 45 minute trip we had! Fran also has a DVD/CD player on the bus but we brought our own speakers for our iPod. She also had tips on wine tasting and a map of the wine country for us to take a look at on the road. We went to three wineries and an olive oil orchard. It was so hot outside for the olive oil orchard that our group decided to leave early but the rest of the wineries were all inside and all of the staff at the wineries were so nice and informative. One of our friends even bought a case of wine from one of them! Remember to bring money with you in case you fall in love with one or more of the delicious Texas wines that you have to buy a bottle or two! Fran also arranged for our group to have Saltlick bbq plates for us at one of the wineries! Our group pre-ordered either turkey, chopped beef, sliced beef, etc. We had our sandwich with potato salad, coleslaw, beans (the best beans I've had in awhile), extra delicious seasame seed bread, extra bbq sauce, Tiff's Treats cookies, Sweet Leaf Tea, water, etc. etc.! It was a lovely lunch outside at the winery. We were all so full! But all of that came in the price of the tour! Fran even got us a deal with a cake-maker and we had a birthday cake waiting for our friend along with candles to surprise her! Fran and her business associate, Melinda, were with us during every tour and let us know when we needed to move on to the next winery. They really made sure we that were ok and having a great time. They even had patience to take pictures of us with our multiple cameras. We all headed back around 4pm and returned safe and sound (and still pumped up from the awesome day) around 5pm. All in all, it was a great day! Fran really has a great business and will personalize tours for all types of groups. She's very professional and you can tell she takes pride in what she does and will go the extra mile to make you feel your group is top priority! We'll definitely be going back to try more tours with L'Avventura Dolce, especially when the weather cools down! Great job!

My friends and I had an amazing time, as did the rest of the bus based on the jovial environment (laughter, singer, and a showing of "The Christmas Story") created by our host and bus driver. (due to Covid19) This was not an issue for anyone attending the tour and the company got all $2800 paid for in full. 2. Yes $2800. We had 28 people in our group, It required two buses that were at their max capacity. 3. I would give a HUGE ZERO if I could. The buses arrived at the pick up location 25 minutes early and expected us (all 28) to load up. Not all 28 people were even there yet. The male driver already seemed annoyed at this point. We ended up pulling out at the agreed on time. When trying to leave the 2nd winery we couldn't. The drivers HAD LEFT and weren't there to pick us up. We waited outside in the sun outside for 30 minutes before they even got back. But that unfortunately is not why I am writing this review As we were loading the bus to go home the male driver said that would be charging us for a cleaning fee ($300) because someone spilt something on the floorboard. Pretty steep for a small spill that could be wiped up with a Clorox wipe but she agreed to pay it she sat down. Comments started to be exchanged about the steep fee and how the day had been complete chaos up until this point. The man began to get pretty heated and slammed the door. When he opened the door to his seat he said "who the f**k spilt something in my seat." Nobody had spilled something on his seat. Upon looking at the "spill" it appeared to be sweat from Him. He continued to cuss and yell and eventually told us to "get off his bus." We all piled off and the other bus also unloaded. Now it is important to note the other driver said we didn't do anything wrong and that she didn't agree with how he was handling things. He told her he was in charge and that he would make the call. She became quiet after that. They ultimately left us there to find our own rides. The male driver was rude and didn't speak unless spoken to the entire day. A beautiful day with amazing company was RUINED by this company and I will not recommend them to anyone!

Yes it's not cheap and airport parking or Ubers are cheaper but boy it was worth it for the ease and taking stress out of the trip. The driver arrived exactly on time in a nice large Suburban that was clean and cool unlike some ratty Ubers. He helped us with our cases and dropped us curbside. Then he tracked our flight for the return - and was there curbside when we landed at midnight, again ready to help with a lovely AC vehicle after that Texas heat and waters if we needed them. It is worth paying for the ease and peace of mind if you cannot rely on Uber at odd hours
