The "repair" he did created more problems than I walked in with, and I had to pay over $800 to a real mechanic just to undo the mess he made. That's not an accident -- that's incompetence on a level that shouldn't be anywhere near a toolbox. And once the damage was done, he vanished. No returned calls, no accountability, no attempt to fix what he broke. Just silence. Based on my experience, this person has no business working on cars. I was given fair and accurate estimates, realistic timelines of when the work might be completed, and the communication was excellent. Out of curiosity, I called a couple other local repair shops after my work was completed to compare pricing, and they were all in the same ballpark. Worth noting is that Universal did not replace parts on my vehicle that did not need replacing, resulting in a final bill that was a little less than the original estimate. To me, that is definitely fair and honest. This repair shop is honest and reliable, with comparable prices. I will not hesitate to bring my vehicles back for future service and also refer friends and family to this business.
