CBS had been a client for many years and I needed boxes and boxes of old VHS tapes converted to digital. Gregg went above and beyond. He quoted a price (Towson Transfers) , but then made the effort to weed out duplicates and tapes too badly decomposed to produce any good digital images and the result was a reduced bill and a body of work worth viewing. He also helped me cart the whole pile up to his office. But wait! It doesn't stop there! I also used his other company, Bluerock Productions, which offers video and photography filming services, editing and more and wow! Did he sure deliver on the "more!" On Christmas Eve I got a last-minute call from a big casting director looking to insert me into a Hallmark Film where the other actress had to drop out. I needed to do an audition ASAP; have the video production quality GREAT and have a "reader." Gregg answered his phone on Christmas Eve and agreed to come into the office the day after Christmas to help me film the audition. He was a great reader, and the quality of the video was superb. As I had just moved, all of my equipment was in storage, not accessible and not many people are willing to be a reader "at the last minute" anyway. What a super all-round great guy, great companies, great work.

We love a local print shop, and they are located right around Union Mill area in Hamden. The…read moreparking can be really tricky. They do have spots out front but the first time I went I parked under the hill and it wasn't bad because it's all free parking. You just have to walk up the hill. It is right past the train track so make sure you are aware because the light rail passes through. I think the prices are really reasonable in this day and age when we still have to print things for marketing purposes and it's always nice as a local business versus a FedEx or Kinko and the service here is superior. They let you see a proof and they are really communicative.

They have a clothing rack by the 2x changing room and 3x distinct photograph rooms…read more Room 1: The main photography room has a pure white background with excellent lighting from the windows. To the right of that in the same room is another place to shoot, where you can bring down the paper background. It's a well-lit room and my favorite room to shoot in. Room 2: This is a smaller room. You can pull down the paper backdrops as well. It's a great place for a small "Youtube" video session, a podcast, or stationary shots since it's tinier. Room #3: This is a themed vintage room (picture is below). There is a typewriter, plush chairs, and an old style telephone. It reminds me of selfie-world NoVa DC. Parking nearby on the weekend is $10 for the parking garage. I wish they had more props for models to use in their photos are play with. They had a few plants on the ground and a white box to sit-on.
