Finally got my hands on the 24 carat serum. I used to really try to make a purchase and it was sold out for months and even years I actually gave up just looking for it no location. Will have it for a very long time and at one point, Aisha was like they're not getting them in anymore. I believe that they used to come in Glass packaging just like the 24 karat moisturizer and the toner, but it's no longer in glass packaging. They have it in plastic now, nonetheless I hope it is the same ingredients as before that used to always be sold out, but I'm really excited. read more

After moving to a Louisiana suburb from NYC, I really missed a few things, and a ladies' salon being at the top of the list. While in Houston over the weekend, the first thing I searched was a one stop shop for threading and all needs grooming. Aisha's was one of the first to pop up, and with 20+ locations throughout the Houston area, it was easy to find one near me. Online booking was easy and I booked for the following morning, first available. Service was quick and I was seen right away after I entered. I started with my eyebrows, then a gold facial and a basic haircut. Eyebrows: 9/10. For the price and quick service, my eyebrows were groomed and trimmed nicely. Facial: 8/10 After a stressful week, & general poor skin upkeep, I was due for a deep clean and some tlc. I showed the tech my breakout area near my chin and she suggested to still go with a diamond facial, which I did. The facial was relaxed, starting with steam, then treatments and ending with extractions and finishing touches. She took her time and checked in in me throughout the process. My only issue was that despite discussing my concerns about congestion around my chin, she left this area untouched and did no extractions to it. I would be more vocal next time but overall, my skin feels and looks more clear all around. However, for the price, it meets my expectations. Basic Haircut: 7/10 was nervous to proceed, but seeing how well the other services went, I took the plunge. My hair was very tangled after days at the pool and she was patiently working with it. Hair was sprayed with water and my preferences discussed. She took about 10-15 minutes for the whole cut and actually did a rough blow dry so I could see the results. The hair is slightly off, but considering I haven't had a good cut in over a year, I think that it still look better than what I previously had. Once styled at home, my hair had a much more obvious bounce and shape. I might forego the haircut next time, but liked the option to have this all done at once. All in all, I left in about 2.5 hours with 3 service done for less than $100. This is a steal and an amazing option in this economy. It's a ladies only salon too which is nice to support. It's a very basic, no frills salon, but service and options are top notch. I will for sure be back when I visit. read more

They use harsh chemicals on your face which they call polish, actually it's the bleach! Rooms are not clean. They don't know how to do facial and massage properly to relax. On top of that they try to do extra stuff without telling it will cost more. Never going back!! read more

My biggest thing is they are NOT using their mouth to thread your eyebrows. They figured a way to use a thread with out putting themselves or customers at risk. I've been going here for years now. I started because they seemed to be the only one in the area that was still $5 for eyebrows but that has recently gone to $8 now. I can't say I like it here, I mainly keep going because they have a rewards program to get your 10th free. Everytime I go I see whoever is available and they NEVER shape my brows per my request. After a while, I just give up requesting them to try again and leave without being satisfied. Very bad service here. Came with my sister for henna treatment we had 2 seperate technicians. Brought or own henna product and came in for next day appointment for treatment. I was treated excellent and superb while my my dear sister was treated rudely, lady working with her behaved poorly, saying to my sister get a haircut so my sister asked will you cut my hair and she gave hideous look of disgust, my sister had already shared with her that she lost most all her hair due to COVID-19 so not much was left on her scalp, slowly growing back. Then later my sister asked that she please return 2nd box of henna since only 1was sufficient for her lady ignored her and took her time bringing this to her. Truly unacceptable behavior and very displeasing to a customer. At the end when it was time to give payment this lady was anxious to receive gratuity, I was covering all hair treatment and she had no clue that customer she treated poorly was in fact my sister. No I don't reward Imbeciles you guessed right gave wonderful tip to lady who was very kind and professional throughout my entire hair treatment experience and Yes excluded the other and hope she reflects on her abusive behavior. read more

Friendly receptionist. Waited about 15 minutes to get my eyebrows and lip threaded. There was only 1 person working. The price is goood!!! Can't beat it. The eyebrows were a little thin for my liking but they were shaped very nice. It was my fault for giving her no direction before she started, so next time I will be sure to tell her to to keep them a little fuller. Needed a blowout because I was attending a wedding the next day. Called the salon to ask them if they would do this. Yes, they said. Asked them if they have the products that will help it last 24 hours. Yes, they said. I confirmed the price on the phone as well as the website. $35 they said. I got there within 15 minutes. They told the lady who was attending to me that I needed a blowout. She pulled out thread and asked me if I wanted eyebrows done. I repeated to her I needed a blowout. So I she pulled out a blow dryer and started using it on me. I asked her if I was gonna get a hairwash. She seemed genuinely confused. I had no idea what she was trying to blow out when I didn't even have wet hair. While washing my hair, she got water on my face. I am also convinced she didn't use a conditioner which my very frizzy and wavy hair badly needs. She then sits me down and starts using a blow dryer on me. She burned my scalp for a second and I jerked so hard but she didn't seem concerned. Then I asked her if she was gonna use a heat protectant. Now everyone including her was confused because they didn't know what I was asking about. They then pulled out a bottle that said "Heights of Glam" that was a volumizer and told me that it said heats of glam. I told them I would not proceed unless they used a heat protectant. So they decided to use a serum on me. I wanted to get out of there but they told me they would use low heat to style my hair. By this time, my hair was already starting to dry and look poofy. I told them my hair won't set without heat so they tell me "to try". I told them I had a wedding to attend the NEXT day so I couldn't just try for the heck of it. So they decided to call the Aisha's salon across the street to borrow their heat protectant. Guess what??? They didn't have any either!! So at this point, I tell them I do not want to proceed anymore. I start to get up and they said I owe them $10 for the hairwash. Excuse me? I told them I didn't receive the service I needed so I will not be paying a dime. They argued with me saying they are willing to service me but I am the one who is refusing it. It took everything within me to not raise my voice. Never have I seen a place that calls itself a SALON that does not know what a blowout is, does not have the basic products, and argues with customers the way they did. Pathetic service! As a man who tries to keep up with grooming himself I was disappointed with how I was treated at Aisha's beauty salon. I know SOME salons don't thread mens eyebrows, so I called the salon before going to confirm the price and if they thread men. The women on the other end said Yes and hung up quickly. When I got there, she refused and told me that across the street Aisha salon handles mens grooming, but not this location. Even though I had called that salon and verified, I politely obliged and went to the Aisha's across the street. They too said they don't do mens threading and never have. I was just upset at that point after being given the runaround. What the worst thing about this interaction was how rude they were to me. This is the worst Aisha's I've came to I literally asked the lady to just clean around my eyebrows and keep the THICKNESS and she made my eyebrows straight! Saying that's how my eyebrows are! They are have an arc. I told her to not touch my eyebrows any more and she still did and made them thin. I would not recommend the one on hwy 6 is better and I'll take the hour drive to get back to my regular person. Do not recommend this salon. read more

So I bought a Groupon for 3 eyebrow threading sessions for $9. Hmmm...so the Groupon says that you have to schedule appointments which I did. I called the salon and made an appt for the next day at 5:15 pm. It's in the corner of a shopping plaza off Hillcroft right past Harwin next to a huge new shopping plaza so it's very easy to miss. When I arrived, there were two other patrons and one girl at the front. I told her that I had a 5:15 pm appt and that I had a Groupon. She seemed confused and asked me if I called that location or another one. I didn't know there was more than one so I showed her the Groupon and told her I called the number on there which was this location. So she tells me to take a seat. A few minutes later a lady comes out of the back and they take the young lady next to me. A few minutes later, another lady comes out and they call me over. I sit in the chair and she immediately starts working on my eyebrows while she starts trying to sell me other services like facials, etc. I think it's ok to upsell but I think it's rude to tell someone that they NEED a facial even if it's on special. Thumbs down. Eyebrow threading - I tell her that I like my brows thin bc my hair is fairly fine and thin. My assumption is that I will get the same type of service the lady I use to go to gave me. When she is done, she goes and gets some lotion or something and rubs it on my eyebrows and face. I tip and leave. When I get home, I take a closer look at the eyebrows once the lotion is dried and realize I will need to finish the job. I realized that she did not trim my brows which every other lady I've gone to always does and she didn't arch or thin them out very well. I do understand that it's cheap - inside it's priced at $7 but there is a sign outside that says $4 but does that mean that my eyebrows look better BEFORE? I haven't decided if I am going back even with two more sessions. I may just go back to paying $10 and driving to BFE to get them down right. *If I do go back, I will give an update* read more

Cheap! Eyebrow threading is only $4.99 (other locations are $8) and upper lip is $4. I've been to several Aisha's, and they're hit or miss. Shahla did a great job on my eyebrows and upper lip. She took her time and was gentle. I could tell she actually cared. She's off Sun + Thurs. Apparently she does all the services too. Decided to check this place out because they were offering eyebrow threading for $4! Such a good price! I usually visit the location across the street and randomly decided to check this location out instead. There were only three people working at the time I visited on a Wednesday and the location is a lot smaller. I was maybe 2nd in line but didn't wait long. I had the lady in chair number 1 and she did great work on my eyebrows!! They were a little bit thin at first, but I felt they would grow in nicely, and they did! I have really thin eyebrows to begin with and she did a great job with creating an arch, without overdoing it on the thinness. I wish I got her name, but I will be back and hopefully will have the same person. They seem to always offer specials. Worst experience!!! They have a new lady working here and they had her do my full arm wax!!! She burnt my skin my right hand has a mark and it's a scar now!!! It's dark pink and hurts so bad!!! And the lady at the front desk said.. Sorry and will ask my manager to call you and I had to make her write down my number to contact me!! Which she hasn't called me yet!!! And I had to pay for the waxing!!! I went there to get my eyebrows and waxing!!! Luckily got the waxing done first!!! I wonder what would have happened to my face if I had let her do my eyebrows first!! They need to first check if the ppl they hire!! Knows how to do their job!!! Cos is our body that they are dealing with!! An scar is a scar and it will take long time to fade!!! I am soooooo disappointed. I came in, didn't wait long but noticed there was a new woman threading eyebrows. I reluctantly went to her thinking it wouldn't be that bad, but it was. I specifically said not too thin please (my eyebrows are already thin) and she says "okay just clean up." So I'm thinking, okay cool it should be ok. Chile my thicker eyebrow is barely there and the thinner one is crooked. I literally walked out and didn't notice until I got home, I'm so sad. Now I have to wait weeks for the hair to grow back (hopefully it even grows back) to have my original shape. I may try this spot again but I am not going back to this womans chair. Two stars for the nice girl at the front though. read more

I recently started coming here to get my eyebrows done. I will say, I feel like I'm betraying Ruby's a little bit, I used to be OCD about going there since they also do a great job... but I have also had some good experiences at Aisha's. I have only had my eyebrows done here, but they do a nice job each time. I am very specific about how they are done and the lady listened to what I wanted (which unfortunately has not been the case at all places I have been). Eyebrows cost $4, which is a great deal! (Cheaper than Ruby's too). They have a punch card so every 10 is free, which I like too. Added bonus - check in here on Yelp and you get a free eyebrow and lip threading session! Woot! They also offer a lot of other services like facials, hair styling/hair coloring, and other skin treatments. read more

So happy my friend showed me this place to get my brows threaded! When I first started coming here it was only $4 but recently they raised their prices so threading is now $5. Still just as good and still cheap. I never spend more than 10 minutes here. I've gone to several of the ladies and it has been consistently good. I've been coming to this particular location for 5+ years. Ive only ever been to Shala, whom I think is the best in the whole salon. Within the last year I've had some un pleasant visits, but today was the last straw. After booking an appointment, advise to show up early, I STILL have to wait 20-30 after my scheduled appointment. The receptionist was of no assistance as to letting me know about the wait, which made me more livid. Being a paying customer for multiple years, you wouldn't expect this type of treatment. I went here on my lunch break after checking out the reviews. Eyebrows were threatening a merger and I had to step in for a swift take-over. This is a suite in a cluster of strip shops. The place is at the corner of the first shopping center traveling south on Hilcroft. Very clean place. There are six stations, only four were in use on my visit. The ladies are very prompt and professional. I was attended to immediately upon entering. I was in and out of there in 10 mins with plenty of time to grab lunch. My eyebrows were threaded to perfection. I give distinct instructions as I have had many eyebrow FAILS. She listened and produced accordingly. The best part is it only cost me $4!! This is unheard of! The tip exceeded the charge. I will be back! read more

Butchered my eyebrows, see picture I posted. Avoid shahada, she's super slow, asked me to stretch my eyebrows like 100 times in different ways, could barley hold the thread, and all I asked for was a clean up and I ended up with worse eyebrows I started with. I also got chin which doesn't require any skill so that was ok. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to the better Aishas. Went into this facility, there were only 2 employees working plus a receptionist. There we 10 ladies waiting to get eyebrows, facials, and waxing. When it was finally my turn , the receptionist at the front kept knocking on the door asking my attendant to hurry up. She kept rushing and she was not concentrating because of the pressure of the receptionist. Needless to say, I received a poor expensive wax job. If, you guys can recommend a good place in this area please do so. read more

I am still a regular here. Just thought I should qualify my enthusiastic review from earlier so I don't hype up your expectations. It's a good value, no doubt -- however, keep in mind that it is a no-frills type place. You go here to get your eyebrows or facial done and move on. I mean, it's hard to beat $4 for threading. If I lived super close by I'd be here every week (unfortunately I do not). With this in mind, you do get what you pay for with facials. It's $60 for the full on facial. This is actually about what I'd expect given that this is a more chill location and not a fancy River Oaks spa. Don't get me wrong, it's a decent deal. It's just not the OMG-to-die-for deal that my first review might have implied. If you're cool with the space being tight and being functional vs. luxurious, then it'll be fine for you. And Nusrat (the lady I go to here) does a solid job. But if you need ambiance, fine linens, aromatherapy, and chilled cucumber water at the end -- this might not be what you're looking for. I've been coming here for about a year or so. I'm SUPER picky with my eyebrows so I went through a lot of places before finally finding Shala. She has always done them just the way I like them, thick and arched. The reason I'm only giving this place a 3 star (besides the lack of costumer service all the front desk girls have) is because for the last few months I guess Shala has gotten very popular and every time I go she seems rushed. My hairs are thick and take a lot of time to shape. She used to take at least 10-15 minutes with me in my first few months with her but lately I'm out of the chair in 5 and not feeling fully satisfied. She's always in the middle of doing a facial or something else so she rushes with all of the clients I've seen her with. Finding an eyebrow artist is so hard for me but unfortunately I'm going to have to start looking again :/ read more

I bought a Groupon to this place so I'm committed to this place two more times. On it says to schedule an appointment. When I called she was very vague and said that all day was open. I told her I was coming in at 2PM and she said ok. I showed up right at 2PM and I still had to sign in a wait 10-15 minutes. There were only 5 chairs in their very small seating area and they were all taken. There really wasn't a good place to stand either so it was really awkward. The people watching that day was interesting also. Don't get me started on the very young 20 something lady there with her boyfriend and parents. She was bossing everyone around like she was a princess. I digress.... When it was finally my turn I was relieved. She asked and listened to what I wanted and then a threading we went. I had my eyebrows done and my forehead. Azam did a great job. She very detailed and cleaned everything up. She trimmed my eyebrows and she also tweezed some areas of my eyebrows. My overall experience was a bit annoying but Azam made it worth it. I will be able to return for 2 more sessions. I hope those two experiences are better. read more

My favorite location to get my eyebrows and upper lip threaded! I don't have a favorite worker, because all the ladies are skillful and attentive. They listen to what I want (I always tell them to keep my eyebrows a bit full) and are very thorough with getting each hair out. read more
