I cannot give enough praise to this business. I arrived at Airtrack completely distraught after having cracked the face of my Motorola Droid Razr in the gym. I first went to Verizon to check into getting a new phone. After waiting for 45 minutes, I learned I would lose my unlimited plan if I chose a new phone UNLESS I bought a new phone at full retail. That wasn't a financial option. After a lot of back and forth, I finally got a Verizon store rep to provide me the information to a place that *might*be able to tell me if the phone could be fixed. That place was Airtrack.
Needless to say, I arrived at Airtrack in complete frustration and confident I would be left with no options other than to lose my awesome plan or buy a full retail phone. Au contraire!
At 4pm when I arrived, I was told it might be possible to fix the phone, but they wouldn't be sure until they got the broken lens off. I was told upfront what the different options would cost (diagnostic vs. a full repair). AND I was informed they could attempt the repair on the spot. #winning.
While I waited, I explained the difficulties I had at the Verizon store. Five minutes later, the store owner, Jean, was on the phone with another business hunting down potential new replacement phones that would allow me to keep my Verizon plan AND wouldn't cost a month's mortgage! She tracked down 2 phones which could have been within my financial reach.
Now, here's the best part. After finding the phones and telling me the prices, she said that if they attempted the repair on my phone and it still didn't work, and I had to buy a new phone, they would roll that all into one price. In other words, I wouldn't have ended up paying for a failed repair attempt and a new phone. That was more than fair, considering most businesses itemize every function they perform and charge you whether the function fixes your problem or not.
I prepared to make myself at home while I waited to see if a miracle happened. I settled into one of the comfy couches with my laptop.
Forty five minutes later, Jean walked to the counter with my WORKING phone in hand. I totally could have hugged her (and David who actually did the work--never saw him, just heard his voice,)
I would not hesitate to recommend this business to others, or to use it again should I have reason. The customer service was genuine and above what was required of a repair shop. The prices were fair and explained up front. I am more than satisfied with my experience and relieved to have my tech life support system in full working order again. Thanks to you all! read more
