I am being nice with the 1-star because there are no other options. I'm such a big component on great customer service and Airlines Parking drop the ball big time. The driver was a bully and I happened to be the only one on the bus at 4 am to go back to my car. Once he dropped me off he was gone. No making sure my car started or nothing. He got his tip and was out of there. And the representatives at the front desk, wow, so unfriendly. I know it was early in the morning but can you find a smile at all. This place is fantastic. Take a ticket and follow a van to a parking space. Unload your car, get a parking location slip from the very friendly driver, let the very friendly driver load your bags into the van, and hop aboard for the very brief trip to your terminal. They'll be waiting for you there when you get back, welcome you home, drop you off right next to your car, and unload your bags for you. Perfect, perfect experience. This place is way, WAY better than the Green Lot, where you could wait upwards of 20 minutes for a van and miss your flight like my husband did earlier this year. Ugh. Regular rates are $12/day, but you should definitely print out the coupon from their website for a discounted rate of $8/day! There is also a sleep-and-park rate with a nearby hotel -- $99 for one night at the hotel, get 8 days of parking for free. Not bad if you have a 6 A.M. flight like I do in six weeks. read more

A coworker suggested that we use Airlines Parking, and the experience was as good as he said it would be! Our flight out was early on a weekday, and our return flight was 10 p.m. on a Saturday night, so we had the full experience. I made our parking reservation online and saved $2 a day, printed our receipt and put it in the glove box of the car for safekeeping and easy retrieval at the end of our trip. We were picked up at our car before our flight, and we were dropped off at our car when we came back home. The bus was readily available in the lot and also at the airport on our return, and we did not wait either time. Our drivers were helpful and friendly. When we drove out of the lot at the end of our trip, we showed our prepaid receipt and went on our way. Easy on and off I-94. No complaints! Our car was just as we left it. After using Airlines parking several times over the past year, I'm finally finished with them. You wait forever to get a shuttle from the North Terminal. It's about one Airline Parking bus to 3 of every other lot. I park for 2 days and 3 hours, and the rate for the 3 hours was almost as much as one day. What's to like?? I love Airlines Parking. I've been using Airlines Parking since Sept/Oct 2017 and I have had nothing but positive experiences! This is the only parking place that I have used consistently at DTW airport, so I have no other place to compare Airlines Parking to. However, they have set the bar very high. I would give a 0 if I could. Terrible driver who said his name was Lee. I lost my paper that says where my truck was in the parking lot and this person was absolutely no help and even acted like he was annoyed by me needing him to help me. I told him to drop me off at the office and I proceeded to walk the entire parking lot until I found my truck. I had never used there service before and needless to say I will never go again. Simple. This is the place to park. I've been parking with Airlines Parking for a couple of years now and travel frequently. You can always get discounts with AAA or on their website, or even Groupons from time to time. It is half as expensive as parking at MacNamara, and around the same price as parking in the Blue Deck. The drivers have always been very friendly and go above and beyond, they have a ton of vans that pick you up at your car, and drop you off at your car - no finding the "bus pickup area." The vans have been clean, most of them very new, and are always there when I get to the pick up area at either terminal. You don't wait, and that's a big advantage. All outside parking, no deck to cover your car for the snow, but that's the only disadvantage. That said, they've gotten out to help me clean off my car before without asking at all. Typically I have good service from Airlines Parking but tonight I had to make 3 phone calls before shuttles were sent to the McNamara terminal to pick up the 40+ people waiting. Not sure what the problem was tonight but the person doing dispatch was definitely not on the ball. There were a number of shuttles sitting idle when we pulled into the lot. We're going to look into Kwik Park for our next trip to DTW. They had 4 shuttles in the waiting area while we waited for Airlines Parking. read more

Most, I say most drivers are courteous, helpful, and polite. Yellow van picks you up at your car takes you to airport and picks you up at airport and takes you right to your car. Majority of drivers load and unload your bags. Yellow van runs frequently between both locations. Vehicles are parked in fenced in lot. If battery dead or tire needs air, they can assist. I'd recommend. Tip...don't lose your yellow ticket, keep in safe place. read more

Drivers were great and busses were clean and fast from point A to point B. Loved that part of the service! My big complaint? Your cashier Sue was a completely rude JERK. I had never utilized your service before and we had booked a park, sleep, fly package. Upon returning and leaving your lot, I handed Sue the ticket with the barcode on it. Wrong of me to assume I guess, but that was what I thought was needed to pull up my reservation. She snaps and says, "$60!" I was confused and said "WHAT? I said no it's already taken care of?" She gets snotty throwing herself around and again very rudely says, "well ya gotta show me something!" I pulled our reservation up on my phone and handed it to her shocked at her tone and attitude and she gets all huffy puffy with me. Finally hands me my phone back rolling her eyes like some pissy teenager and lets us leave. She didn't leave a great ending taste for us, especially as a new customer. Get it together Sue, if you're that unhappy working customer service, maybe you should find a job in a dark office. All the staff, drivers, greeters and cashier could not have been nicer. I had not required any airport parking in quite a few years but had always used this facility. That goes back 25-30 years. We've parked at Airlines Parking a handful of times and have always been satisfied. Particularly this most recent time. We mistakenly left our trunk open a crack and when we arrived back at our car the battery was dead.. Late at night, cold out, no one else near us for a jump. I flagged down a shuttle driver and within three minutes a wrecker was at our car giving us a jump. We were on the road five minutes later. The guy acted like it was no big deal but he saved our night for sure. We'll be back again. read more

Parked our car their for spring break and had to park at the back of the lot next to a VERY old fence that was damaged and next to a side street. When we returned from our trip we had no gas in our car that we had left more than a half a tank in. A nice worker helped us by giving us a gallon so we could leave but then we were told at check out that most likely we left our car running. Not only did they not have cameras or any type of security for the tons of cars parked there, but then they blame the customer when a problem occurs. Never again! read more

Came back from a beautiful vacation to west coast, Palm Springs & Vegas. It was our 18th +5 Anniversary. Got back and picked up my pickup truck at Airlines Parking but at cashier (Stephanie's) exit booth couldn't find barcoded receipt. So I opened back of pickup to go in luggage. Couldn't find ticket but cashier was nice and accommodating to a senior citizen. Any way got home to Ypsi. went to unload bag was missing. I called Airline Parking immediately & Stephanie answered the phone (9;52 PM) and said sir "your tailgate opened as you were pulling onto Merriman and bag fell out. I was hollering but you didn't hear me so myself and another employee walked down and retrieved it". I returned to the site in about a 1/2 hour. Saw Stephanie as she was punching out, offered her some $ but she adamantly refused. Airlines Parking saved my vacation/anniversary. read more

Parking Points program - every time you park with them they will give you points for the stay much like a hotel has a points program. The big difference is that at a hotel you can redeem a complete weeks worth of points in one visit making the program very useful for business travelers. At Airlines parking, "NO MATTER HOW MANY POINTS YOU HAVE ACCUMULATED - IF YOU TAKE A 7 DAY VACATION YOU CAN ONLY USE POINTS TO PAY FOR 1 DAY" This completely makes their point program useless! I travel for business and use their service two weeks per month, this is the first time I have tried to redeem points and was told I should have read the small print! They are quick to get us to our flight, our cars have never been damaged being parked here, and they are always ready and waiting when we get back from our trips. We used Airlines Parking when flying out of DTW during our recent trip to Orlando. THE GOOD: - AP has very fair rates - be sure to check in on Yelp or make your reservation online (www.airlinesparking.com) for the $10/day rate. The regular rate is $12/day, which still isn't bad. - It was a smooth process overall. Upon arrival, we followed our designated bus driver to our assigned parking spot. We then locked up the car, gathered up our bags, hopped into the bus, and were dropped off at the airport in less than 10 minutes. - Location, location, location! AP is extremely accessible - we were coming from Toronto and easily found the lot just off of the I-94 highway. THE BAD: - When we returned from our trip, the wait for a shuttle back to the lot was ~15 minutes - not an unacceptable wait time, but we did notice multiple vans from Qwik Park (a competitor) arrive sooner. Overall, I was very satisfied with our experience - I've docked off one star for the shuttle wait time, but I would use Airlines Parking again. read more

Friendly employees. 3 out of 5 stars due to the buses here being run down. They get you there fast however the suspension on almost their entire fleet of shuttle buses are completely beyond worn. Hold on cause it's a very Bumpy ride. The smell of exhaust inside the cabin definitely gave me a headache. I am willing to bet that if a CO detector were set up it would for sure warn you! We came back from a trip to a dead car battery on a snowy night in December and they didn't hesitate to get me and my kids onto a warm shuttle and jump start our car. Two weeks ago we had a very early flight (5:45am). There weren't enough buses for the early fliers. It took 25 minutes to get to the airport. We were really nervous we were going to miss our flight. Last night our flight got in at 10:45pm. We waited out in the cold for 30 minutes for a bus. In the meantime, many buses from other parking services came by. There were at least 50 people waiting for Airlines Parking. Won't use this service again. read more

This place is a ripoff and some of the drivers are jerks. My friend and I recently returned to DTW from Hawaii and it was freezing cold so we quickly got to the pickup location. We were first in line. Bus pulls up and drivers keeps door closed and exits from his side. Just stands at the back of the bus saying nothing so people started walking to the back of the bus to had him their luggage. I had a small carry on and my friend had a large purse (which she was not putting in the storage area). I went to the back of the bus and handed my small bag to him. I get on the bus with my friend and sit down. Three more people get on the bus and have no seat so decided to stand. The driver states no one is allowed to stand and that if you did not give him a bag you did not get counted!!! HOW STUPID IS THIS??? Not everyone had a bag to check with him! Several people had small backpacks that did not need checking with him. After he tells the standing people to get off the bus, he turns and looks at my and my friend and yells, "cutting in the line is rude...that's what's rude!!!" I'm not sure who he was referring to, but it was very unprofessional to say the least! How about walk around to the front of the line, count off 10 of the front line people and tell the rest to wait for the next bus! Problem solved. Anyway, the cost is not cheper than paying to park in the covered parking ourside the terminals so I won't be returning here. I've used the company a couple of other times and the experience was just ok, but this time took the cake. read more

Have used Airlines Parking for years, but will move on. Waited more than 15 minutes at 2 p.m. yesterday; someone else finally called and was told the driver would 'hurry up.' No explanation or apology. While we waited, at least 6 US Park buses and 4 Qwik Park buses came and went. read more

I've been a solid customer for over 20 years now and have experienced this place since the early 80's and the price has always been reasonable. They used to have the vans that church groups have. Those full size vans used to squeek and rattle over the potholed roads in the late 80's. They use much better rental car agency style shuttle buses now.There has ALWAYS been a van waiting there when I drop off the car. And of course they give you a free jump start when you need one. They wisk you off as quickly as they can. In terms of pickup they're not too bad either. I've had to wait maybe 12 minutes to be picked up at the terminal. read more

Another awful experience. Waited forever to go from the terminal to my car. Throngs of people also waiting. We watched every other parking company come & go. Driver said it's a busy time. They always have an excuse. Meanwhile the bus is jammed pack with people sitting on laps. So much for safety! This is our third & last time using US Park as each of the last 3 times it's been miserable. They are incompetent in scheduling & meeting the demand. Or just greedy with no regard for their customers. I'm off to another lot next trip. read more
