I have been using Airlines Parking for 5 years. They offered monthly passes for airline flight crew members who must fly out to other cities. This month Airlines Parking ended that program and along with the other parking providers colluded to have any other parking service offer monthly passes and force us into a daily rate that is the same at Airlines, US Park and Quick Park for the same rate at all 3. This is price fixing and absolutely insulting. Nothing but pure corruption here! read more

I have been using AIRLINES PARKING for many years and never have any issue with them. Last weekend, I accidentally left the passenger side window open when I parked there. I saw the opened window was tightly covered with clear plastic film to prevent water or snow to get in after I returned from NJ. I don't know who first found out the window was open, but quite sure it is the AIRLINES PARKING staff did the prevention job. I really appreciated it. read more

My wife and I few back on Delta. They kept the middle row open and seated people starting from the rear seats. They really did a great job following distancing. I dropped my keys right after exiting my car but didn't realize I didn't have my keys until I was in the airport. I called the office and talked with Patricia who was understanding and helpful. We agreed to wait a bit to see if my driver turned in my keys from the van. That didn't happen so she agreed to contact a driver (John) who was available to go to my car locations and see if he saw them. Thankfully he saw them and brought them to the office where I picked them up upon my return to Detroit on Sunday. I only get on the yellow bus to get me to and from airport parking! I think just once in the past several years, flying dozens of times, I've had to wait more than two minutes for a bus to arrive at the airport. There's a Yelp check-in coupon (that's a $1 more than a year ago), and I've had no issues using it, however, recently the cashier said I needed to print it out... whatever that means. I know there are other options for long term parking in the area, but my family has always used Airlines Parking. I have always been ultra satisfied by my experiences with them, so I have never really bothered to try the other places. Their shuttles are always around and easy to spot in the maelstrom that is the shuttle pickup/drop-off area. Moreover, I find their location to be the most convenient and there are a decent amount of food options nearby. Be sure to check in on Yelp when you go to this place, as they gave me a rate of $9/day instead of the $12/day rate. You can also use a AAA card membership to get a reduced rate. read more

My planning skills leave much to be desired. I am always doubling back to get my license to fly, etc. And, since I am always going somewhere warmer, I do not fly with a coat. I used to use a different parking lot, but noticed that Airlines Parking has smaller shuttles than the other parking lots and seem to have more shuttles doing the loop. Since I switched to AP, I have not waited to get picked up. They are just always there (and usually with another van in the distance ready to swoop in)! Since I am usually standing in below freezing weather after soaking up sun, this is a VERY good thing! Their van drivers are so nice considering I am ALWAYS late! And their system is so good -- they pick you up and drop you off right at your car, and will wait to make sure you can get it in if you don't have a coat and there is snow on your car! read more

I have used Airlines Parking for many years. I've never had a bad experience. The experience starts when you pull in. There's always a staff member to promptly greet you and send you in the right direction. I've never had more than a two or three minute wait for the shuttle to get me to the airport. The shuttle drivers are great about helping you get your bags in and out of the shuttles. The shuttle themselves are always clean, and well lit. Upon your return to Detroit, there's never more than a few minutes wait for the shuttle, and the same pleasant experience. The aptly named Airlines Parking meets the basic requirements: quick shuttle back and forth, our car was secure, and it was relatively cheap at $10 a day. As other reviewers have noted though, they fall short in the customer service area. There were a bunch of kids on the bus ride back, and they were screaming at the top of their lungs. I couldn't hear the driver over them. I told the parents to get their kids under control, and the driver felt the need to lecture me on proper parenting. In his view, this erratic behavior was normal. I suppose it is normal if you have no regard for basic discipline. Still, it's a strange thing for a driver to say. This is the only place we use to travel out of DETROIT metro. The service is consistent- you will be surprised at how convenient this actually is. They literally pick you up and drop you off right at your vehicle. The drivers always get out and help with luggage. The drivers are always quite friendly, seem to like what they're doing. But really, the key for me is that this is a secure place to leave my truck and the wait is never more than 4-5 minutes to be picked up to go to the airport or return to your car. Great airline parking company! My family has been using this service a lot in recent years. Compared to a lot of the other parking services, they still have a daily rate of $12. And most importantly, they're the only ones I know that give discounts to AARP members ($10) and AAA members ($9). I'm not sure why other people are going into specific details with the smell of exhaust, etc. I didn't personally experience that but you're in the shuttle for only 5-10 minutes depending on the number of people that the shuttle you're on has to pick up. The most important points to be compared is the cost and the overall quality of service. Other stuff are minimal unless it's exceptionally bad. With a $9 daily rate, it's still one of the cheapest options available unless you're traveling for business and don't have to pay anything. read more

They're prompt, helpful and aren't rude like some of the other parking options around DTW. The last several times I have used them there has been a very very long wait for vans to take you back to the lot from the airport. We arrived in Detroit around 11pm. The Airlines Parking bus was waiting for us at pickup area. The best part of this experience was our driver Carlos, he went above and beyond helping with getting our luggage loaded into our vehicle after he cleaned to the stuck snow/ice from our car! Nothing stress tests an airline parking service like the first flight of the day, especially compounded with an infant and two parents wrangling the various luggage. Airlines Parking blows its competitors at DTW out of the water for service, efficiency, and an all around pleasant experience. A nice, bright neon sign beckons customers immediately to the entrance of Merriman Road, a huge plus in gloomy, dark conditions at 4 AM. Human contact greeted us immediately at check-in, and a waiting mini-bus followed us to the nearest open spot seven or eight cars in from the ticket gate. The friendly driver immediately started to load our luggage and graciously assisted with the collapsible stroller. Even with final checks, the process took maximum five minutes from arrival to relaxing on the shuttle. Shuttle buses are clean and pleasantly scented, too. There were several fans of the baby powder air freshener. Pickup and dropoff instructions couldn't be easier. With a full load, the shuttle dropped us off at the terminal in a few minutes. We were all tired and groggy, but the driver engaged us with friendly conversation. He drove like he had luggage and unbelted passengers, instead of a lunatic like another unnamed company I've used. Online prices are $8 per day, and the AAA discount can apply if you lack the online coupon. Yelp and other sites offer bargains that make the weekly cost well-worth it. Forget the hassle of the parking structures at DTW or asking Aunt Matilda to haul you and your gear out at 4:21 AM. And the manager is rude I specifically asked when pulling in because I'd made a reservation and I couldn't find how to get my AAA discount. I was told To just give them my card when Leaving. The shuttle driver gives you a ticket so you know where you parked. They drop you right back off at your car again when you return. You can pre-pay in advance, too. Efficient! Long-term parking at Detroit Metro is hella expensive. Airlines Parking is only $9/day with a AAA membership, and service to the terminals was just as fast as parking on site. We traveled on a snowy winter weekend and the shuttle driver even helped clean off cars and provided ice scrapers to those who needed one. We returned to town on a Sunday night, which was really busy. The shuttles were completely full, but everyone was friendly. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life. The drivers are absolutely rude, and disrespectful. Every time you get into the shuttle you are late. Shuttles take forever to get to where they're supposed to. They never give their customers a ticket so you always end up looking for your car. Never Again. Just parked there for first time for 7 days and I experienced an awkward moment while I was checking out. I had purchased the ticket on their website. I guess I entered the parking at the wrong entrance and when I wanted to leave I couldn't provide the entrance ticket to cashier. I tried to provide my airline ticket but that wasn't acceptable for them. Than they asked me to fill out a form and provide my ID and car registration. Spend 45' to get out of there. Finally I was allowed to leave. I understand rules are rules, but I should not have been allowed to enter through that door. read more

This parking as very convenient for us when we flew out of town for a couple of days. The yellow bus was there when we got out of our car and they took our bags and piled us in. As well as the return home. We held our bags which we didn't mind but he was there to get us right away and took us straight to our car. Best. Deal. Ever. Parking is only $8 a day if you print out the coupon online first. There's also a AAA discount. If you forget the coupon it's $12 a day. When you arrive you are directed to a parking spot and a van meets you at your car, loads your luggage into the van for you, and then drives you to your terminal curbside. The whole process takes about 20-25 minutes. When it's time to leave you hop on a van near arrivals and then tell the driver where you parked and he drops you off at your car. Awesome! read more

I am being nice with the 1-star because there are no other options. I'm such a big component on great customer service and Airlines Parking drop the ball big time. The driver was a bully and I happened to be the only one on the bus at 4 am to go back to my car. Once he dropped me off he was gone. No making sure my car started or nothing. He got his tip and was out of there. And the representatives at the front desk, wow, so unfriendly. I know it was early in the morning but can you find a smile at all. So I moved into town a few months ago and it was my first time parking near the airport to catch a round trip flight. I looked up shuttle services but that would run over $100 and the bus in Ann Arbor didn't run very late nor did it sound appealing to potentially wait an hour in cold weather. The lot was super easy to find and once I arrived, I grabbed a ticket, drove a few more feet and an attendant called over a van and told me to follow it. I was then led into a parking space and my baggage was lifted into the back of the van while I got on the van. We only picked up one more person. I was in and out of the parking lot in probably 5 minutes. I did like how I didn't have to wait for the van to arrive as I am used to in Phoenix. On my return trip, I had the slip they provided which gave me instructions to go down to ground transportation. I then veered left to the "off-airport" parking. I was a little scared that I would need to wait 10-15 minutes for the van as the airport shuttles in Phoenix rotate every 10-15 minutes. However then yellow van was waiting and quickly left once I arrived as if it was expecting me. The driver was super friendly and I was back at my car probably within 10 minutes of me stepping out of the airport. The only downside at that point was the line to pay for parking was pretty long but it wasn't too horrible. So a lot of people on Yelp posted a $8 deal online. I'm not sure if that's still going on but the online deal I printed out was $9. So it looks like they raised the prices. But its still an excellent deal compared to your other options. Plus, I am glad to pay a little more for the service they provide and the minimal contact with cold weather! I highly recommend this place for off-site airport parking! Although, if you're planning on taking a long trip during a snowy winter, you might want to look elsewhere as the lack of covered parking may make the task of shoveling out your car pretty gnarly. read more

Use the AAA discount if you have it, or the Yelp one. * When you return home to DTW after your trip, it helps to have a sense of where you're parked. Sometimes the van will take ages dropping others off- but if you're clever enough to see your car in the next row over, just bail out! Tell the driver "this is me! Stop!" and just walk through to the other row. Much faster. Especially at 2:30am when you need sleep. read more

Recently, I've parked here for several business plane trips. This is one instance where commercials are right. It DOES take a lot of hassle out of getting to and parking at the airport. The transportation buses are ready for you as soon as you park your car. They take you right to your terminal. When you return, it's easy to catch a bus back (there are LOTS of them).
