I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a serious incident that occurred today with one of your drivers. My group had three valid paid tickets for a specific scheduled service, as stated on the ticket terms (valid only for the booked time). We boarded the bus, sat down, and were fully settled when the driver abruptly instructed all three of us to get off the vehicle. At no point did he ask whether we were able to take the next bus. He simply told us to leave. He explained that a pregnant woman--who did not have a ticket--should have priority. While we fully respect and understand support for pregnant passengers, removing paying passengers with valid reservations to make space for someone without a ticket is unacceptable and directly contradicts Aircoach policy. After we were removed, the driver then stated that we could "try the next bus", despite our tickets clearly indicating that they are valid only for the booked time, and even noted that the next service might be full as well. This left us effectively stranded. As a result, we had no option but to take a taxi to the airport. We paid in cash, so we do not have a receipt, but this was an expense we should never have had to incur. This incident caused financial loss, unnecessary stress, and represented a serious failure in customer service and adherence to Aircoach procedure. Passengers with valid tickets should never be removed to accommodate someone without a ticket. I am requesting: 1. A full refund for all three Aircoach tickets 2. Confirmation that this incident will be formally investigated, as the driver's behaviour was improper, unprofessional, and against Aircoach policy 3. Superb and affordable way to go from Dublin airport to the city or suburbs. We took the 703 air coach to Dun Laoghaire, where we had booked a B&B. We got to the airport bus terminal 7 mins before it was scheduled to leave, but the ticketing and boarding was so seamless we were seated with 2 minutes to spare! Round trip cost was 17€ per adult and 9€ per kid, whereas a taxi would have cost us over 100€ each way. The seats were comfortable and while the bathroom was not operational, we were fortunately not in dire need of relieving ourselves! The driver was gracious and let us know where to disembark. The hour- long journey to Dun Laoghaire flew by, and the return trip a few days later was equally rewarding and comfortable. Air coach is the way to go! read more

Avoid this business. I purchased three tickets online for myself and two companions; we were travelling to the airport. We arrived at the stop 20 min early, and waited until 20 min past the scheduled time. The bus never showed. We were absolutely in the right location and at the right time: the info was shown clearly on our ticket. I wrote immediately to complain; in 10 days they have not even bothered to respond to my message. Conveniently located right next to the taxis so when you think you may save some money by taking the bus rather than a taxi - they are right there!! Before buying our tickets from the girl at the stand were asked how long until the next bus and was told 10 minutes....try more like 40, they were clearly waiting for enough people to fill the bus. The putting luggage on the bus, everyone for themselves with luggage just being shoved in and no care or assistance from the driver of the 2 people selling tickets. Then, once on the bus communication as dreadful. We had been told for our hotel that we get off at the 2nd or 3rd stop. We were following the bus travel on googlemaps and the first stop was still a long way from our hotel, so we stayed on. Then as it was continuing to stop 2, it was getting further and further away. Since the driver was careful to check ALL tickets on the way on, they should have been clearer with who should have been getting off when - it is safe to assume most on the bus are tourists and newcomers to the city after all!! Then driver, still really hard to understand, indicated it was OUR fault and we should have known to get off at the first stop...how???? we were told it would be the 2nd or 3rd!! We had to get a taxi from where he eventually dropped us off....cost more than a taxi overall would have. Avoid this company like the plague...if have to get a bus take the other one - the Dublin express. They are NOT next to the taxi rank. I had a very disappointing experience with Aircoach's customer service at Dublin airport. The staff member was extremely rude and shouted at myself and my elderly relatives over a minor delay. Despite our ticket clearly stating our baggage allowance, she insisted on charging extra and continued to shout at us and misbehaving to a customer with unacceptable attitude. When I asked for her name or ID to escalate the issue, no one provided it, which was very frustrating. I want to highlight that it's not about the money, but the way we were treated. We were running with luggage, and my relatives, who are over 70, were extremely tired. While the driver was very helpful and supportive, the staff member's behavior was unacceptable. I hope Aircoach can address this issue as after today experience i would never try aircoach again and would really not recommending this to any friend. read more

I find Aircoach to be a very convenient bus service especially if you've just landed. If you need a quick shuttle that runs 'to and from' the Dublin airport, then I'd recommend these guys. They've got a few route options, but I've only scheduled their 700 line that frequently runs every 15 minutes for pick up/drop off to the Dublin City Centre. Usually dropped off in front of the Gresham Hotel. And only €11 round trip. Can't beat that right? Why pay €30-35 for a taxi, in comparison. As for service and staff, I've had helpful ones and others just talking amongst each other ignoring me. The driver's tend to be nice and informative, and some in a rush to make the next stop. Other highlights: ~ WiFi connection sucks on-board. You'll connect to the bus, but the bus isn't setup as a hotspot. I can never connect. ~ The seats seem large enough and somewhat comfortable. ~ They've also got outlets to plug-in and recharge. ~ You can easily purchase your ticket(s) online, and show the driver you email confirmation instead of printing it out. ~ They have an additional line that also runs to Belfast. I understand that the bus got stuck in traffic, but after waiting for over 30 minutes after the appointed time, I had to take a 45 Euro cab to the airport. When I asked for a refund, AirCoach refused saying the traffic was beyond their control. 13 Euros was all I was asking for. Apparently their drivers don't know how to take alternative routes. Wow, how easy and quick AirCoach made it for us to get into Dublin. AirCoach bus costs €6 each, from Dublin Airport into the downtown area(Grafton Street). When you compare this to other major cities, New York, London, Paris, Los Angeles, only Chicago would be cheaper and then, you would need to take the O'Hare El instead of a cab. As I said, it was quick, easy and relatively inexpensive. The buses appear brand new, they're clean and if you need a body break, there is a WC in the back. What we liked most, was watching all the crazy Dublin traffic below and relaxing in a comfy seat above. Nice! read more

By far the worst and most unreliable bus I have ever encountered! Dublin airport to Galway , 2 hours and 48 minutes into the journey and we have only entered Athlone ! I am due at work at 7:30, my bus was due to be at GMIT at 7:15 with not a chance of making it now! We have been over taken by every bus and truck on the motorway as the driver has averaged 80km an hour! Amazing customer service. I accidentally booked the wrong date and they still let me on! Not sure why I didn't realize my flight was overnight. The bus driver came a few minutes late but departed 12 minutes after the set time, which was pretty efficient. There's free wifi on the bus and outlets. There's more than enough leg room. read more

Upon checking out of my hotel, I asked where I could pick up the AirCoach to go back to the airport. "Right across the street," answered the front desk attendant. And not seven minutes later was I tossing my suitcase underneath and climbing aboard. I have been using Aircoach for the past three years and I am a big fan. It's reasonanble, especially when you get a return ticket. And it flies out to the airport, even on Friday evenings (fingers crossed I've not jinxed that now). The buses are always clean and the seats are nice and comfy. Leg room is great, you can comfortably put your carry-on case and your legs in the leg room provided. 99.9% of the time the drivers have always been super nice and polite... one recent exception though has lost them one star from me. First time to Dubiin? Or the second or the tenth time and looking for a ride into the City Center? Well, the same answer is Aircoach for an efficient ride (only 20-30 minutes to most hotel locations in the Dublin City Center). Very convenient, and a decent splurge compared to the regular bus service and far less than a taxi. The coach drivers are courtesy and will direct you to the closest stop if you let them know your hotel. And they will direct you to the return pickup location as well. Recently, a friend visiting me needed a ride early in the morning to Dublin Airport. I was delighted to see that Aircoach had a 4 a.m bus from Leopardstown, close to my house. We arrived at 3:50 a.m and waited until 4:25 a.m. Since the schedule said it would take close to hour to arrive at the airport, I had to take him myself. This bus delay was during the time when Dublin airport was a fiasco with horrendous waiting times and people missing flights because others incompetence. When I complained it took a month to get an answer and they stated that the bus arrived earlier than it actually did and threw out their policy that covers themselves in the case of traffic causing delays. It was 4 a.m! No communication on being late. Furthermore, they took no responsibility. It seems wise for a business to at least apologise and offer a 12euro refund. None of that. They lost my business forever and I've already deterred others (so they already have lost money) from using their service with morons that manage their customer relations. My wife and I took the Aircoach shuttle into the Dublin city center from the airport as suggested by my hotel and was very pleased with our experience. I believe the tickets cost 12€ to 14€ each for a round trip and coming and going was an ease. We had compared to a taxi from Dublin Airport which would have easily run us 25-30€ each way depending upon the traffic which is pretty serious in the Dublin city center. The buses themselves were comfortable, there was plenty of space underneath to store your luggage and we have no complaints and would certainly use them again if we visited Dublin. read more

I'll start this review by addressing a few of the statements I've seen in other reviews! Aircoach is not more expensive than a cab. I guess it really depends on the cab, the driver, the day, how far you're going, etc, but more often than not you're better off taking Aircoach! My husband and I arrived in Dublin to stay with family for a few days and even they recommend Aircoach to us over a cab and I have to say I'm really grateful they did! The bus was super comfortable and had lots of room, it was a nice scenic drive around Dublin, and the driver was really excellent at helping everyone who had questions about where to stay and what to do. I was impressed. And, (and this is the big one for me), I was able to spend my hour and a half bus ride to the outskirts of Blackrock browsing the internet and emailing my family to let them know I had arrived safely. In my experience, Aircoach is a reliable, regular and convenient way of getting to and from Dublin airport. In the Dublin area, it serves Ballsbridge, Leopardstown and Greystones (and many stops in between). It's particularly handy if you are catching an insanely early flight and there's nobody mad enough to chauffeur you to the airport. The service to and from Greystones runs around the clock at least every hour and the service closer to town is even more regular. Aircoach also serves Cork and Belfast. My journeys on Aircoach have always been smooth and passengers are dropped directly outside the Terminal at Dublin Airport. It may be a few minutes late but never fear, it will always arrive in the end. read more

I don't understand why people are raving about this service so much. - The wifi doesn't work. I took two trips with them and neither had wifi - Both journeys I was blessed with two highly rude and unhelpful drivers - They have no toilets and no toilet stops - There were ridiculous queues to get on the bus from either way - in fact not queues so much as Each Man For Himself throngs - They are FREEZING! The schedule for Route 702 showed that the bus would arrive at 9am so we arrived at 8:45am to be safe because the schedule said that t was subject to traffic and go plan on a 40-minute commute to the airport. At 9:20am I called the number on the ticket to see where the bus was, and the representative told me there was traffic and it was delayed. I told her I needed to be at the airport no later than 10:15am. She suggested taking a taxi. I asked her if they would reimburse us for the taxi and she said they could not do that, but they could refund the Air Coach tickets at the airport. We waited until 9:35am, and still no bus in sight so we hopped in a taxi that cost €30 and made it to the airport in 30 minutes. After checking into our flight, we went to the Air Coach desk to get our promised refund. It was 10:20am and our bus still had not arrived, proving our taxi choice to be a good one. When I explained the situation to the desk agent, he said he could not give me a refund. He called the representative I had spoken with who told him she had informed us they would refund our Air Coach tickets, but he said t was against company policy and there was nothing he could do. Not only were we out the cost of the taxi which would have been cheaper through our hotel, but we were out the cost of a bus that never arrived despite being told by the company representative that a refund would be issued. They required a cash payment for the tickets, so we can't even dispute it through our credit card company. Do not use this company. They essentially stole our money, left us in a lurch, and refused to honor the promises of their representative. read more

The best and cheapest way to get to the city centre Dublin from the airport is by AirCoach. It might not drop you right in-front of your hotel but you can usually get pretty close. The driver might be a bit cranky but just remember your in Ireland and nothing else matters. It's easy to find at the airport - We grabbed out luggage and walked outside and there it was. It's cheap -7 Euro one way and 14 round trip It's clean and has fancy seats -I couldn't believe how clean it was and I almost took a nap in my seat (If I wasn't so excited to be there) from it being so comfortable. A lot of times I get to Dublin (after a 10 hour flight) and since I'm planning to stay in Dublin for the night before heading home to Laois I need to get from the airport to the city centre. Thanks to Aircoach that process is very straight forward, you come out of the baggage claim area and to your left you'll probably see a big bright blue bus with "Aircoach" written on the side of it. For less than €10 you'll get to ride on a very comfortable coach that will drop you off along O'Connell St. or at the end of Grafton St. Thanks Aircoach for helping me avoid a nightmare bus journey at the end of a 10 hour flight. read more

A great service if you are lucky enough to live near any of the routes (Which I do!), I tried them a few weeks ago for a 6.30 flight which meant I was one of those strange lurking bodies wandering the streets at 4am, I would like to point out however I was sober and clothed (well, mostly anyway). It's 30% cheaper and runs more frequently. Dublin Airport to City Centre: The bus was like an icebox for the entire journey. The driver never put the heat on. See-my-breath cold. Sweater, down jacket, overcoat, and gloves. That cold. Weak wifi. "Travel in Luxury;" I don't think so. City Centre to Dublin: My mother and I arrived at the stop ahead of the published schedule and the driver drove right past us, despite us frantically trying to wave him down. Dublin doesn't do cheap, we all know that. The best bargain you're gonna get is this clean express bus to the city centre. Right outside arrivals, it waits to ferry you into the city for €7 single. Considering a cab would cost about €20-25 and you'd be forced to make conversation about how the world's gone to ruin and foreigners are taking over with the taxi driver, this is a steal. Yeah you could also get the 16A for £2.20 but I assume you want to get there swiftly and... you know, alive. read more

I had to get to the airport for an early flight to Madrid and at 5.30am the Dublin Buses aren't running. Thank goodness for AirCoach! The pickup location is on O'Connell Street so right near the 16A stop. You dont have to buy a ticket ahead of time--they accept €6 cash when the bus pulls up. Not as cheap as the 16A but way cheaper than a taxi! I also liked the comfy seating and found the route to be much quicker (obviously less stops) than the city bus. Now, I dont know about you...but my problem with the Dublin Bus is that you have to leave your luggage downstairs when you ride. Call me crazy but I am always afraid somebody will run off with my suitcase. I guess I actually believe strangers are interested in stealing my undies or my toothbrush or other, equally valuable items that I carefully packed. I was extremely pleased getting on the AirCoach and seeing a security camera on the luggage area. It was wired to a TV screen so that folks sitting on the top level could watch their bags without worry. Unfortunately, the camera shut off after we left the first stop. The horrible feeling returned and thus AirCoach loses one star. I had to run halfway down the stairs like a totally paranoid freak at every stop to make sure my bag hadn't been snatched. Yes, I know. I am always so excited to be boarding it as it means I am either on my way to an exciting international location, going home to see my parents in London or boarding it outside Dublin airport upon my return journey and thus thrilled (of course!) to be back in the fair city. A one-way adult ticket from the city centre to the airport costs €7. Compared to the price of a taxi from the city centre to Dublin Airport, the Aircoach undercuts it by about €15. Add the financial benefits to the very comfortable leather seating, spacious leg room together with plasma screens and automated announcements prior to each stop it's hard to justify paying such extortionate cab fares for the same journey and in potentially less comfy means. The Aircoach provides a 24-hour luxury coach service between Dublin Airport and Dublin city centre. The coach doesn't just go to Dublin city centre however; it also caters to those who live on the periphery of the city with stops in Leopardstown, Ballsbridge, Bray, Blackrock and even as further afield as Greystones in Co. Wicklow for €11 one way. Upon take off a fictional animated representative from Aircoach appears on the plasma screens to welcome you to their service and to inform you that before each stop they will be announcing the coach's impending arrival so as to prepare the passenger for their potential dismounting of the coach. For €14 you can even take the Aircoach and relish in its perpetual luxury all the way to boombastic Belfast. This is an excellent deal for such a lengthy journey. The Aircoach has never failed to turn up within 10minutes of me getting to the stop on O'Connell Street. It's efficiency, along with it's impressive roomy and comfortable, if not quite suave, interior are both striking components of this great , passenger friendly service. Anytime I need to get to the airport there is no other option than this very pleasing and well-organized service. NB/ You can book online at http://www.aircoach.ie/ or do as I always do and buy your ticket(s) before you aboard the coach. Aircoach is a very good service from Dublin airport into Dublin town. Its 12 - 14 euro return depending on where you go and has free wifi. The seats are comfy and generally the drivers are all right. I guess the only issue stopping 5 stars would be price and the occasional wait of more than 30 minutes ( when they are meant to be every 15 minutes ). I've used this service pretty much, compared to Dublin Bus I would prefer Aircoach but it is a bit more money. I believe there is also a very cheap bus service the 16a, but it takes a long time! read more
